Liam and I are sitting on our exquisite terrace looking down at a stunning view of Florence when my phone rings. It's my mother. I haven't talked to her much since I got here so she probably just wants to check in.
I answer on one of the first rings, and can barely make out what she's saying because of her frantic yelling.
"WHAT IS THIS ARTICLE THAT I SAW ONLINE ABOUT YOU AND LIAM BEING ENGAGED?!?!?!" She says.
Uh oh.
"Well..."
"The tabloids don't know what the hell they're talking about right?"
"Mom actually it's true."
I hear her nearly choke on the other end of the phone
"What."
"He proposed when we were in France. I was going to wait until I got home to tell you because I wanted to tell you in person. I know you and dad are going to flip out and lecture me, but this is what I want. He makes me happy, so happy, and it isn't going to happen any time soon. We want to wait a couple of years. At least until after I get my bachelors."
"Ella I think you're making a huge mistake. You've only been with two men, and you are already wanting to settle down. We are going to have a looonnggg talk about this when you get home."
"Do you have to be such a selfish bitch?" I ask her, and see the surprised expression on Liam's face.
"What did you just say say?"
"Goodbye mother." I hang up the phone while she's still talking.
"Baby" Liam says scooping me into his arms. "You didn't have to do that."
"But I did. I can't let her control me...control us anymore. I needed to stand up for myself" - E
"Good job." He kisses me on the forehead.
"So we have 40 minutes before we have to leave." I wink at him seductively
"Hmm you're right. Maybe we should play a rousing game of checkers?" - L
"Or we could do this" I run my fingers along his growing erection
"Alright I'm sold!" He says throwing me over his shoulders
