Chapter 65 - Speechless
I think I forgot how to breathe. It takes my brain seconds to catch up with my mouth. I can see the anticipation on Liam's face.
"Yes"
His face lights up with elation. Next thing I know he's spinning me around, and kissing me uncontrollably. We exchange "I love you's" before he slides the massive ring on my finger. It's huge, so stunning. It has to be at least five carats. He did an amazing job. I am so happy I can hardly contain myself. I am still so speechless. Until reality starts to set in. I'm only 19, not even finished with my first year of college, and I have 5 more to go, maybe 4 if I'm lucky. Not to mention we have only been dating for nine months, but so much has happened in that nine months. I know I love him and want to be with him and only him, but it still seems like it's too soon. My parents are going to practically disown me when they find out. We have to talk about it and make sure we're on the same page before getting everyone riled up, and by everyone I mean the entire One Direction fandom. I have to mentally prepare myself for millions of girls to hate me. I'll probably be receiving death threats on the reg which is why we have to be 100% certain.
In the car on the way back to the hotel is when I decide to bring this up.
"So how long do you wanna wait?" I ask him.
"Before what, marriage?" He says.
"Yeah" - E
"Well I was thinking at least a couple of years. You know that I would drop everything and marry you right now if I could, but it's complicated you know that." - L
I sigh in relief "I am actually so relived to hear you say that." - E
"There is no need to rush, we have all the time in the world, I just wanted to make it official. Now it's gonna be hard for you to break up with me." He laughs.
When he says this, I can't help but feel guilty because of my encounter with my ex boyfriend that I have yet to tell him about. The longer I wait to tell him the madder he will be. I'm just digging myself into a deeper and deeper hole.
He interrupts my thoughts "Are you happy?" He asks
"Very" I tell him.
It's 11:04 when we get back to the room. I have been up for over 24 hours. I go into the bathroom, take my clothes and make up off, and try not to pass out right then and there. Leaving the bathroom I say "Liam we have to talk about someth..." He is fast asleep, and in a matter of seconds so am I.
