Not even a minute later my phone rings. Shit. That was quick. I don't even know what I'm gonna say. This is so bad. I can't do this, but I have to. On the fourth ring I finally pick up.
"Hey I'm surprised you aren't sleeping." - E
"Well to tell you the the truth your text woke me up, but it's okay. I've miss you so much. How are you?" - L
"I'm good, just a little hungover, and of course I miss you too." - E
"So what did you have to tell me?" He asks just as I begin to hope he forgot.
"Well...something happened last night, but when I tell you, you have to promise to let me explain, and try not to overreact." - E
"What Ella, tell me right now." He starts to raise his voice. Oh boy.
"Okay well after a few shots and a couple of rounds of beer pong, I was starting to feel really tipsy, so I went upstairs to try and find an empty bedroom to lay down in. I was sitting there minding my own buisness when this random guy I have never seen before in my life came in, and decided to join me on the bed..."
"Oh my god fucking continue" - E
"He kissed me. Okay! He kissed me and once I realized what was happening I pulled away and slapped him..."
"I cannot fucking believe you! How could you do this to me?!" He is practically screaming!
"Liam it isn't entirely my fault. I should have never gotten that drunk, I take responsibility for allowing myself to get that drunk and putting myself in that situation, but I didn't kiss him back. I would never do that to you." - E
"Apparently you would. I don't know what to think. I don't even know who you fucking are anymore Ella." - L
"So what are you saying?" - E
"I don't know. I am beyond furious. You really messed up. What would you do if you were me?" - L
"Baby I know I am sorry, yes I would be mad, more at the girl than at you, but eventually I would forgive you." - E
"Yeah eventually, for now I think it would be best if we take a..." Before he can finish I cut him off.
"No don't say break. Please don't do this." Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry. I continue to tell myself in my head.
"Goodbye Ella." He hangs up the phone.
This can't be happening. Not now, not after the huge step we just took in our relationship, and how great everything was going. This is all my fault. What if it's really over? What am I gonna do? I can't imagine my life without him. not now not ever. I am bawling my eyes out when Megan emerges from the guest room, and pulls me in for a hug.
"It's gonna be okay. I promise." She says.
