Killers

prologue

The soft strips of torn off grey cotton fabric did nothing to help calm my nerves as my skin scraped uncomfortably against the cold metal arm rests of the chair I was bound in; my wrists raw and bruised all shades of blue from what must have been an initial struggle that I can’t quite remember.
The room had peculiar disinfectant smell – the kind one would be exposed to in hospital waiting rooms when a loved one was being sliced open on an operating table. Struggling to open my eyes which had become shut temporarily by a coat of my own dry blood. I vaguely managed to make out the space around me – a small, white room with a video camera on a tripod set up directly in front of me.

Trying to stand; I quickly noticed that my feet were bound to the chair. I shivered at the lack of warmth violently as my head fell down to have my eyes focused on my lap. I wasn’t wearing the little black dress I’d specifically picked out for the date last night; instead – I was in a white slip summer dress. Something I’d never seen before and wouldn’t have ever worn on my own accord.

Licking my dry lips once over with what little moisture I had left on the tip of my tongue, I heard a door behind me swing open – a black masked gentleman paced into the room before me; turning the video camera on before walking over and brushing some hair out of my eyes rather gently.

“I wondered how long it would be until you woke up”, he slurred with what I was sure underneath that mask was a smirk. I tried my hardest not to react; I wanted to scream but my throat was blistered, I wanted to cry but I couldn’t manage tears. Lightly stroking my cheek and lifting my head up with soft finger tips beneath my chin, I had one last chance to look into his bright yet cold eyes before a back handed slap across the face forced my head to snap over towards my shoulder.

“Let’s have some fun shall we…”

@CaliforniaBum
Not at all - that sounds brilliant! I wish I had more exposure to things like this. It facinates me so, so much.

This story already has me hooked :-) I've loved reading about and watching crime shows ever since my grandpa introduced them to me when I was a kid, so this is perfect. Wow. That must sound awful haha Anyways, I'm looking forward to the next chapter!! See you then xx
