ROSE

I hadn't spoken to Niall since we kissed that night at the pub two weeks ago. In fact, I think I have been ignoring him. The whole thing made me confused. A few nights before the kiss happened, he had pretty much told me I wasn't that attractive to him at all. But then he kissed me.

But I couldn't help the butterflies in my stomach when I thought about his piercing blue eyes and his lip ring that only he could pull off. The night he rescued me made me think of him differently. He wasn't the asshole that everyone had always said he was. But that was before I had a real conversation with him.

I was currently sitting in the courtyard with my sketchpad in my lap. The art professor, Mr. Filch, had given us an assignment the day before. It had to deal with anything related to what inspires you the most.

"Why have you been ignoring me?" An Irish accent said, pulling me out of my trance. I look up to see Niall. He was dressed in a pair of black skinny jeans and a Chelsea FC football jersey.

I sighed and looked back down at my drawing. "I haven't been ignoring you," I replied. "I've just been really busy."

I watched him sit down in front of me out of the corner of my eye. Then my book was pulled out of my grasp. I frowned before looked up at the blonde, tattooed boy. "Yet you've had enough time to hang out with Louis at a few parties and sit out here for a few hours, drawing." He said. I could tell he was slightly angry.

"Fine!" I said in annoyance. "I have been ignoring you! Happy?" His eyes widened at my outburst.

"Why?" Was all he could say, making me sigh. I couldn't help but notice the way his blue eyes twinkled in the sunlight.

"Because..." I started. Then was silent for a few moments. "Because you kissed me, Niall. Which confused me. You made it seem like you wanted to hook up. After I had told you that I don't do that."

It was his turn to sigh. "I know and I'm sorry." he said, quietly. "I just couldn't help it.. "

I scoffed. "You couldn't help it?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. " Because of what? After I told you I don't hookup? Or after Mason drugged me?"

"No," Niall said with a shake of his head. "I can't explain it, alright! Just forget I even said anything!"

He threw my sketchpad to the ground in front of me and stormed off. I didn't mean to make him angry, I just wanted him to see that what he did was a bad idea and he confused me with his actions.

I stood to my feet and gathered my things before heading to my dorm. I needed a night out with friends. Or maybe even a shopping day. I'd figure that out once I saw Perrie.

As I expected, Perrie was sitting on her bed, talking on the phone. Probably with Zayn.

"Hey," I said as I sat my backpack on the floor next to my desk. She said goodbye before hanging up the phone.

"Hey love," She said as she watched me move around the room to pick up and put away a few things.

"Want to go shopping today?" I asked her while putting a few pairs of shoes into the closet. "I'm in the mood for a girls day."

She grinned and nodded. "Of course!" She said. "I'll call Danielle and Elena. Tell them to meet us there."

I decided to switch out my sweats for a pair of ripped skinny jeans, a white crop top, and my pair of Marvel Comics Vans. Then pulled my hair out of its messy bun and ran a brush through it before putting a braid on the right side of my head.

When I grabbed my purse, Perrie was slipping on her shoes. "They said they'd be there soon."

I nodded before walking with her out to my car. Then drove to the mall in the middle of town.

Danielle and Elena were already waiting for us in front of the entrance. "Where to first?" Perrie asked as we walked in.

"Well I don't know about you but I want to go to Victoria's Secret at some point in this trip," Danielle replied as we walked into the first shop we saw. And it so happened to be PacSun.

"I'm hungry," I whined about two hours later. We had made pretty good progress since each of us had a decent amount of shopping bags in our hands.

"I swear it's like we have a two year old," Perrie teased but led us to the food court. When we got there, Danielle and Perrie ran off towards the tables, making Elena and I give each other weird looks. Then I noticed that the lads were here and that included Niall..

I sighed before I followed after them with Elena in tow. "Hey," I said with a fake smile. "What are you doing here?"

Louis looked up at me and smiled. "Niall here was hungry, so we decided to come here to get something to eat." He answered. Perrie gave me a look.

"Same with Rose." She said with a small smirk on her lips. I rolled my eyes before placing my bags next to the empty chair that sat next to Liam. Then went to go find something to eat.

"I'm sorry about earlier."

I didn't even have to look behind me to know who it is. I don't know anyone else that had a Irish accent like he does.

I don't answer and go over to the pizza place and order myself a meat lovers pizza with extra sauce.

"Why won't you talk to me? I'm trying to explain myself and apologize." I turn to look at him with a frown.

"Why should I talk to you, Niall?" I asked him. "You wouldn't listen to me this morning when I tried to explain why I just want to be friends."

"I know and I shouldn't push you into anything you're not comfortable with," Niall replied. "And I'm sorry about that. I won't make another move on you and you'll just be a friend like any of the guys."

"That would be great," I said with a small smile before I grabbed my pan of pizza. "You just earned yourself a slice."

Sorry guys that I haven't made a new chapter in a while. I was caught up with school. But that's about to change since I'm officially graduated from high school! So now I will update more and not keep you waiting.
