Tattooed Memories *n.h.*
Chaper 4: Over It
"What happened with you last night?" Perrie asked me curiously. I currently sat across from her at a table in the coffee shop just in walking distance from campus. We had decided to sit outside since it was nice out.
I sighed lightly as I stared down at my white coffee cup. "Let's just say something bad happened. Niall saved me from it. Then he took me home," I answered before glancing up at her. She was frowning.
"You're not gonna tell me the bad thing that happened?" She asked as she looked back at me. I sighed again. I took a sip of my coffee before decided to tell her.
"Mason drugged me... And tried to rape me," I said quietly, making her eyes widen. "Niall found me before he did though.. And then he took me home."
"Is that why when we walked by Mason, he had a black eye and cuts all over his face?" Perrie asked me. I shrugged.
"I don't know," I replied and looked down at my hands. "Niall or Louis could have done it. I'm not sure."
Someone cleared their throat behind me. I looked up to see Perrie with a small smirk on her lips before I look behind me. There stood Niall dressed in a pair of black ripped skinny jeans, a plain white t-shirt, and a pair of black vans. He smiled at me.
"How are you feeling?" He asked before sitting in the empty seat. He looked at me with his blue eyes.
"I'm doing okay," I told him quietly. "Just shaken up a bit is all." He nodded like he understood what I meant.
"Well if you ever need to talk, I left my number on your nightstand last night," He said in his thick Irish accent. "If you didn't see it yet.."
"Alright," I said with a small smile. "Thank you." He smiled and kissed my forehead before standing up.
"I'll talk to you later then," Niall said to me before looking at Perrie. "Nice seeing you again Pez."
Perrie looked up from her phone and smiled at him. "You too Niall." We gazed at each other for a few seconds before he went off went some of his teammates.
"I think he likes you," Perrie teased, causing me to look at her. I laughed.
"That's really funny." I said as she frowned. "That's a great joke."
"I'm not joking, Ro," She said. I took a drink of my coffee as I looked at her. "I can tell he likes you."
"How can you tell?" I asked her. I played with the bracelet on my right wrist that my father had given to me. It was a silver bracelet with three different chains connected into one. Throughout the bracelet, there were little star charms.
He had given it to me for my sixteenth birthday. I've liked the stars and moon symbol since I could remember so the bracelet was perfect for me. I haven't taken it off since. If I did, then I feel like a part of me is missing.
"He looks at you the way Zayn looks at me," Perrie said. "I understand that he sleeps around a lot but that doesn't mean that he can't finally found someone to like more than that. And you would be perfect for that role to fix him..."
I sighed. "It doesn't seem like he needs to be fixed," I said as I looked at the area that surrounded us. "He seems to like his way of life. From the partying to the hooking up with random drunk girls."
"But he left the party just to take you home last night. He would never do that," she pointed out. "And he left to go find you before anything bad happens.. That means he cares for you."
"But that doesn't mean he likes me more than a friend," I said as I pushed away my now empty mug. "Or he did it cause I'm really close to Louis."
"If that's how you feel then fine," Perrie said. We both stood up and went to throw our cups away. "But I see the way he looks at you. And its not just the 'I think of you as just a friend' look.."
I slung my purse on my shoulder as we started to walk back to campus. "I just don't know, Pez" I said to my best friend. "After everything that happened with Devin and now Mason.. I'm not ready to get close that way with another guy."
"I understand," Perrie said. We walked past the big area of grass next to a dorm building where a bunch of guys and a few girls played football. "Take your time. Just as long as your happy."
I looked at her with a small smile. "Of course I'm happy," I said. "I'm following my dream as an art major. I have the greatest friends. And my family life is going better than it was a year ago. I don't need a man to change that."
"So are you done with parties?" She asked, curiously. "Like completely?" I sighed as I thought about the question.
"No I don't think so." I answered. "I'll just be more careful with what I drink and do.. I'm just not gonna try to meet any guys." She nodded.
"Well I'm going to go meet Zayn up for lunch like we had planned," Perrie said as we stopped in front of the school cafeteria. "I'll see you later." With that, she disappeared into the building.
I sighed and started to make my way to my dorm room alone. When I got there, I placed my purse on my bed and went over to my desk. I decided to work on my English paper that was due next week.
I was working on the paper for a good two hours when there was a knock on my door. I stood up and made my way over.
"Lou!" I said happily when I saw the familiar set of blue eyes and a scruffy beard. He laughed lightly as I hugged him around the neck.
"Hey, love" he said as he hugged me back. "You just saw me yesterday. How have you been?" He pulled away to look at me and gently pushed a loose strand of hair out of my face.
I sighed. "Why does everyone keep asking me that?" I said with a frown as I went and sat down on my neatly made bed. "I'm fine. It's not like it actually happened."
"I know but you're still probably scarred from it," Louis said as he took a seat next to me. I looked down at my hands that rested in my lap.
"But I'm not gonna let that bring me down, Lou" I said quietly. "I just want to forget what happened last night and move on. It could've gone worse and I'm glad it didn't." I looked back up at the brown haired boy. He smiled.
"That's great Ro." He said and stood up. "Now get up. Get ready." I looked at him confused.
"For what?" I asked him as I stood to my feet. He started to look through my closet.
"We are meeting everyone at the pub downtown for some dinner and a few drinks," He answered as he placed a few items of clothes on the bed. "Now go get dressed. I'll wait here."
Sorry for the long wait. School work has been taking up a lot of my time lately. And sickness mixed with it is not well. But hopefully you like this chapter! I'll get the next one up within the next few days, I promise!
