A Little More Than A Fan

We ran down the streets as Louis grasped my hand. The wind blew through our hair. He laughed as we ran. I didn't really know what was funny but I liked his smile so I smiled back.

"Where are we going?" I yelled over the wind.

He stopped dead in his tracks. And a frightened look creeped onto his face and into his eyes.

"What's wrong?" I asked politely.

"Come on! We have to hide, Angel" He pulled me toward an alley.

The alley was dark and black with two green metal dumpsters in it. The only light was the light creeping in from both ends of the street. I was so confused. Why did we need to hide ? Why here? Couldn't this have waited until we got to the burger shack?
He turned and looked at me while squeezing my hand.

"Lou? What's wrong?" I whispered.

"Shhh. The paparazzi will find us and they will never leave you alone if you are seen with me. I am just looking out for your well being, Angel. You have to leave I'm sorry." He whispered back as his eyes glossed.

Tears were streaming down my cheeks this time. They were not light and fluffy and filled with happiness like before. This time they were filled with pure hurt. I lightly jogged out of the alley, not being able to see. I turned around to see Louis be attacked my teenage girls and paparazzi. They asked him multiple questions but I didn't stick around long enough to know if they were about me. I ran back to the arena, not looking back, and barely being able to see 2 feet in front of me because of the tears. I heard whispers filling the room and that's when I found Destiny and Niall holding hands on a worn out purple couch backstage.

"Haha! Wanna go get some chicken?" Niall asked.

"That would be amazing right now babe!" Destiny answered.

My sobs then covered their voices. Tears were running down my face faster and faster, they seemed endless.

"Hey ash! Woah. What happened?" Destiny said as she rushed over to comfort me.

"Was it Louis did he hurt you?" She continued.

"No, he didn't hurt me. The paparazzi found us and he made me run away and never look back." I said in between sobs.

"Okay, babe. Calm down and come get chicken with Niall and I." She pointed behind her and sure enough relaxed on the couch was Niall.

"No thanks. I wouldn't want to interrupt and I just want to go home. Do you want me to pick you up from chicken later?" I asked even though I really did not want to come out of my room and face the world again.

"Niall will bring me home." She turned around to verify with Niall then they both nodded.

"Stay strong Ash, I love you. See you at home." She lightly touched my hand then walked away with Niall.

They looked so perfect together, so much love, even though they just met today. I hope the paparazzi doesn't ruin them like they ruined us. I was the last one in the arena so I went onto the stage and looked out into the empty stands. It didn't look at all as magical as it did when I was with Lou. I sat down on the edge of the stage and started humming to Rock Me. The lights were bright on my face and it felt good to have the stage to myself. I then turned off the lights and left the arena.
