Little Things

Later that night, Liam said he had to head out, so we said our goodbyes, and Louis and I had some time to spend alone. "What now?" Louis asks. I giggle.

"I don't know." he bops my nose with his finger.

"You're adorable." I giggle again and blush a little. Suddenly there's a knock. "Now who could that be?" I giggle once again, and he stands to go check the door. I check my phone, and have a text from Liam.

'Hey, left my hat there. Mind if I come back real quick?'

'Of course not, come on over.'

As soon as I set my phone down, though, I immediately see Louis pushed to the ground. I gasp and limp over to him. "Louis! Oh my god!" I look to see what's at the door. I gasp and start moving backwards as the person makes their way towards me. "Ben....please. Don't do this."

"We didn't finish what we had going. I think it's about time."

"Really? Cause I don't." Ben turns around and comes face to face with Liam's fist. Liam picks him up by the collar of his shirt, and gets in his face. "Now you get the fuck out of here and leave her alone. If you ever come back, you won't make it out alive. Understand me?!" Ben nods and runs out as fast as he can. Liam helps me up and I hug him as I cry.

"Oh my god Liam....thank you so much...." He rubs my back.

"Shhh...it's okay. You're so welcome. That asshole didn't learn the first time, did he?" I shake my head.

"I guess beating on your girlfriend, then being left behind is unfinished business."

"Well, love, you won't need to worry about him again." I smile and stop crying. I let go, but use Liam for support. Louis slowly gets up.

"You okay babe?" He asks, walking over to me and pulling me into a hug.

"Yeah, if Liam hadn't come back for his hat....something really bad might've happened." Louis nods.

"Thanks Liam," Louis says.

"No problem. That asshole will never be back. If he does somehow make his way here, let me know. He won't be getting out of here." Louis nods and Liam grabs his hat, then heads out for the second time.

"And just when we thought this day was going so good," Louis says. I smile and kiss him.

"I love you,"

"I love you too." He smiles and brings me to the couch. "Want a Brisk?" he asks. I nod and cover up. I put on Criminal Minds and Louis brings me some Cheetos and Brisk. I kiss his cheek, and the rest of the night includes Criminal Minds, food, cuddling, and at times, kissing. Though it had been a bit ruined by Ben, the rest of it couldn't have gone any better.
