Diary of Secrets
Grade: 7
Good Things:
-I like the idea behind the story and how you've got two plot lines going but how they tie together in the end. (The journal is one and Sam is another).
-Your writing is really good! (:
-I'm glad it's not one of those cliche "depression" type stories. Those are annoying. I also like how it's not the whole "boy-loves-girl-but-girl-is-oblivious-because-apparently-all-girls-are-dumb" kind of story.
Things to work on:
-It isn't very realistic. I get that Calum is busy because he plays soccer, but high school soccer players aren't that busy! (I play by the way). I usually have only a few games during the week, and the coaches don't have super long, heavy practices the day before games because they don't want you to get hurt. It's not common to have games on the weekend, but it's not rare either. Just informing you a little more (:
Would I recommend this story to someone else? Sure!
