Don't Tell A Soul
9
We both pant as Max pulls his sweaty body off of mine, falling on the sheets as we stick to those too. We don't say anything for a while. I stare up at the ceiling and think about how much of a chance I just took right now. I can't help but let Michael sneak in my mind, thinking about how just a few hours ago he was telling me that I need to take more risks and here I am now, laying naked in my room with my boyfriend whom I just had sex with. And my parents are home.
"I love you, Marley." Max whispers, squeezing my still tender thigh. I bite my lip and smile, but before I'm able to respond, Max talks again. "I know that I haven't shown it here recently and I know that I keep letting you down, but I'm going to make it better. You do know I love you right?"
I feel the bed dip over and he looks at me awaiting my answer. "Of course." My voice comes out a bit horse.
Max contently sighs and sits up some, grabbing at his phone. He types away at something and then gets up and starts gathering his things. "Do you want to come over to my house? Some of my friends are coming over to work on some projects for committee."
"Well don't you want to stay over here with me like this?" I fake pout, uncovering the duvet from my chest reveling my breasts for him, but he hardly even makes a second glance. Suddenly I feel a little embarrassed to I cover back up again.
"I'd love to, but I invited them over weeks ago and they're kind of over there right now."
I sigh, and sit up myself trying to give him a look that meant I really didn't want to do this.
"Why are you staring at me?"
I roll my eyes. "Fine, I'll come. I'll meet you over there."
Max nods and kisses my cheek. I always build up situation in my head and I'm always- "Marley?" Max questions. I look up to the doorframe and Max stands there, interrupting me from my thoughts. This was it. When he told me I was more important than his stupid meeting. "I'm going to start making you feel better and I'm going to do crazy things to prove my love for you. That being said, I'm going to cut committee tomorrow and have lunch with you."
Max smiles at me really proudly, then leaves the room. Like I was saying, I always build up situations in my head and I'm always disappointed with the outcome. He used to be a rebel kind of guy who would come to my beck and call. Now that I think of it, our relationship was only as exciting as it was because we hardly got to see each other. Now that we practically live with each other nothings there-which is why we resorted to sex.
~~~*~~~
Once I finally put on my clothes and went up to Max's room him and his buddies were all focused on some sort of contraption they were working on. They hardly even noticed when I walked in the door. And as I was sitting there I realized that Max have never introduced me to not one of his friends nor did he when I walked through his door. For all they know I'm some creepy neighbor who just comes over to be entertained when I'm bored, and for the record I could probably die from boredom here in about one second.
"Marley what do you think?" Max asks, eyeing me with anticipation. "Do you think this can recycle solar energy?" He pats on the machine thingy.
I furrow my eyebrows together. "Um.. is recycled solar energy even possible?"
"That's what we're trying to find out. Pretty cool, eh?"
Instead of giving him a verbal answer I just put my two thumbs up and discretely roll my eyes. Zoning out there very obnoxious debating, I take out my phone and text the first person that comes to mind.
'Are you up?' -Marley
'Of course I'm up, it's only 10.' -Mike. He responds almost instantly. 'What's up?'
'Max made me hang out with his friends, and I'm bored out of my mind.' -Marley
'You want me to come and get you?' -Mike.
Did I want him to come and get me? I mean it's bad enough that he came to mind directly after I had sex with Max. Do I really want to ditch him to go hang out with Michael? It's not really like he's miss me, or even notice that I'm gone anyways.
'Hello?' -Mike. He impatiently texts me again.
'Please.' -Marley. I respond to him, looking back up to realize that honestly as long as Max is occupied he really won't care. Not that he really does in general.
"Uh Max?" I pipe up.
"What?" He raises his head up from working on his machine.
"My dad wants me home so I should probably go." I lie.
"It's only like 10 o'clock." He frowns which almost makes me feel guilty, but he would just forget about me again if I decided to stay.
"Yeah, well..." I drag out not really sure I owed him an explanation.
"Alright well later babe." Max stands up and kisses my lips softly, winking to me and making me wonder why I'm even leaving in the first place.
Michael's expensive car sits out front of my house and I hightail it to his car before Max catches me. "Glad to know you can't be without me for five hours." Michael smirks as I climb into the passenger seat of his car.
"Shut up. I didn't miss you. I just need something fun to do." I playfully roll my eyes. "Let's get out of here before anyone sees us."
As we're driving down the road, Michael asks, "So what happened to not wanting to drive around with me?"
"That was when I was mad at you." I clarify.
"Oh I get it."
"Good." I nod, smiling. "Where are we going?"
"You'll see."
"Last time you said that, you pulled a gun on me." I warn, earning a glare.
"Don't worry you won't be seeing my place tonight." I chuckle and relax against the nice leather seat, taking in the ride.
Moments later we pull up onto the local park. The street lights lit up a path, but that was about the only source of light. It was kind of eerie looking at the park seeing as how the usual typical scene you would see at a park wasn't there. Everything looked abandoned and thrown away.
"After you." Michael says opening my door.
"You can't really say that if I don't know where I'm going." I laugh, holding onto his bicep so I didn't fall-which surprisingly intimidated me a bit.
He leads us to the park bench that was reflected a little in the light. It had enough light so that I could let go of Michael arm and fixate on getting my hand to stop shaking. "So what was so boring about hanging out with Max and his friends?"
"It wasn't just boring. It was also quite awkward. He's never introduced me to any of his friends, and all they kept talking about was solar energy."
"Ouch." Michael flinches as if it hurt him to listen to me. "I could see why you wanted to get out of there."
"What were you doing when I texted you?" I wonder aloud.
"Just laying around really. Taking it easy right now for next week. Which reminds me, I won't be here at all next week so you should probably make some friends so you're not all alone at lunch or in your classes."
"Where are you going?"
"Every once in a while you've gotta have some gang drama. That's what we're off doing."
"So you're going to go fight somebody?"
"Take what's rightfully ours." He nods, earning a disproving look from me. "What?" He laughs.
"You're going to come back with more scars and probably even another bullet wound."
"Thanks for caring, but that's what I've got my gang for."
We both stay quite for a while not really having anything to say. "Sorry about Max though." He casually says, looking off into the distance.
"It's fine. I mean it's kind of not at the same time. I keep having these expectation for him and I don't know why because he always finds away to disappoint me in the end. He told me he was going to start making me feel more important and start taking chances, and you know what that risk is?"
"What's that?" Michael asks, amusement in his tone.
"To have lunch with me." I exasperate, flailing my arms for extra effect.
"I mean at least he thinks he's taking a chance. Unlike you."
"Who's side are you on here?" I laugh.
We both let our laughter die down some and soon the environment falls into a comfortable silence again. I start thinking about taking chances and accepting risks, but it all seems too good to true. How could taking a chance and risking everything benefit you in the end?
I look over to Michael and watch the light breeze blow through his thin red hair. I watch him make his lips glossy my licking them and turning them a deep shade of red, just like his hair. Then suddenly I felt like I knew what he was talking about. If was going to risk something I might as well do it right.
I draw in a deep breath and lean closer to him, catching his attention. At first he looked taken back as if he was trying to decipher the situation. Once he realize what I wanted, he finished leaning in and attached his lips to mine.
I let him slip his tongue in my mouth and trail his hands up my shirt. Something about this felt so wrong, yet so right all at once. If this is what hell felt like, I was living it up in sin. Michael is the first on to break of the kiss.
Thinking he would say something about me being in a relationship I try to kiss him again to show I was okay with it, but he talks before me. "I could say so many profanities right now about how great your ass looks in those leggings, but I'd rather take them off of you and I'm not about to do it right here. So change in plans I guess I am taking you to my place tonight."
Michael comes back and kisses my neck and back to my lips, hoping off the table and having my jump on him as he carries me to his car. As we're both presses up against it, he runs his finger up the clothed part of my slit, feeling the heat that's already radiating through.
I lightly moan into his mouth, and bite down on his lip still being tender from Max from earlier. Michael opens the car door and throws me in, breaking off the kiss. I run my hands up his shirt and over his torso, letting him know that I still wanted him. "Keep it up and I'll rip off all of your clothes right here."
"I wouldn't mind." I smirk.
"Not here, Perth." He sternly say, more to his throbbing member than me. He climbs into the car and reconnects his mouth with mine, soon starting it up and making our sweet escape to his loft.
THIS IS SO GOOD FRUCK
