Don't Tell A Soul

I trudge my way into school, hanging my head low and walking behind Luke and Calum. Ashton and Michael stood at the front of the group talking about things. Knowing him, he was probably giving Ashton details about our night. I still dont remember much about it since i got drunk right afterwards, but since i wasn't that drunk, i still remember the way he made me feel inside.
The feeling was nothing like Max made me feel, and i'm not bashing on him because to be fair it was out first times. It's not really like i have much to compare it with, but Michael made the fire in my stomach spark and errupt into flames. It was nothing i have ever experienced before. Would i ever try it again? As of now, no. Do i want to try it again? Hell yes.
"Perth." Calum nudges me rather harshsly, pulling me out of my daze and scolding him whilst i held my arm.
"What?" I whine.
Calum makes his hands shift in the direction of the door, signalling that i was at my classroom. "You've been standing there just staring off into space. You okay?"
I bite my lip and nod. "Max is in there." I say, recalling the fact the committee classes were called off for the day.
"Is that what you were thinking about?" He raised in eyebrow to me.
"Not exactly, but now that you mention it, yes." I swallow, and look at him for his responce.
"Well you know Michael's in there too." He wriggles his eyesbrows to me, smirking.
I scoff. "Thanks for making it better, Calum." I sarcastically respond and start off into the classroom. As soon as i walk in there, i see Max sitting at a table my himself on his phone, and Michael sitting with Luke, but an empty seat was next to him.
The biggest difference i saw between the too was that one noticed my existance and the other simply did not care. I sigh and walk over to the clueless fool, purposefully slamming my books down on the table so he'd look up.
"Jesus, Marley." Max jumps and holds his head, "Care to keep it down a bit?"
I scrunch my eyebrows together, "Are you hungover?" (because i am.) My mind screams at me.
"No? Why on earth would i be hungover?" He sasses me, keeping his eyes glued to what he was doing on his phone.
"What're you doing?" I question him, dropping the subject.
"Doesn't matter, you wouldn't be interested anyways." He shrugs me off.
I lick my lips. "You don't know that."
"Then tell me why you ran out of my house so quickly? I know i bored you."
"More i like i didn't want to intrude." I lie. "Plus i just went home anyways."
"Your dad said you went out." This time he looks up at me. All the blood drains from my face.
"Oh right i did, but you know i was just with some friends."
Max looks at me with an unreadable expression, sighs in annoyance and shakes his head to look back down at his phone. I roll my eyes at his crudness and look up to find Michael staring back at me. His smile grows bigger when he sees me look at him, and i bite the inside of my lip to keep from grinning like a fool.
I look back over to Max, "Are you still coming to eat lunch with me?"
"And miss the chance to meet your friends?" He puts on a mocking tone, putting his hand over his heart with fake affection.
I sigh and instead of looking over to the guys, i put my head down on the table, feeling my headache aching behing my eyes.

When lunch rolled around surprisngly Max met me outside the classroom and walked me down the the cafe. "Sorry about being rude eariler. I've been stressed out about the project we've been assigned to do."
"It's okay." I simply say even though it really wasn't. "What's the project?"
Before Max has time to respond, the boys come crashing in. Luke's arm goes around my shoulder and he immedatly starts talking. "Hey Perth. Is this your boyfriend?"
"You have a-" Calum gasps, but someone from the back knocks him in the side causing him to shut up. I silently breath in relief knowing that my cover wasn't blown.
After we go through the line, we sit at our nomal table and open our pasta salads. "How are you Max? Michael asks.
"I'm great. It's really nice that you took Marls under your wing since i havent been able to be here."
"It's not problem really. She's really nice and we've been getting to know each other a whole lot here lately." He smirks and i put my head down to hide the blush. Michael rubs his leg into mine under the table, trying to get me to look up, but i don't have the strengh.
"Yeah I've just been so caught up in committee and.." Max drags on, but I zone out as Michael's leg keeps rubbing into mine. Slowly I bite my lip and look up at him, but not fully raising my head.
Michael smirks and bites the air, pretending to be biting me.
"Isn't that right, Marley?" Max questions looking at me with anticipation.
I tear my head away from Michael's gaze and onto Max, searching his eyes for the right thing to say. "Right...?" I drag out making it sound more like a question than answer.
Whatever the right answer was, he looked pretty confident. He looked over to Ashton who just smirked and looked down because he knew that I wasn't listening.
"So anyways what are you doing tonight?" Max wonders.
I open my mouth to answer, but Michael beats me to it. "She hanging out with me."
"I am?"
"She is?" Max and I both say at the same time.
Michael laughs lightly. "Yeah."
"Uh, no." I speak up. Looking over to how pitiful Max's face looked, I couldnt help but feel guilty. He was actually trying. "No I don't ha-" I'm cut off by the bell ringing.
Max gathers his things quickly in fear of being late to class. "See you later. Tell me what you were saying after class, okay? Love you." He kisses my cheek and disappears down the hall.
I look over to find Michael already looking over at me. I give him a bitchy stare and approach him. "Why did you say that? I had no plans with you today. Why did you have to go do that?"
The smirk Michael once held vanished and was replaced with a confused expression. "If I'm being honest, I don't really know."
"Well get your shit together because he's actually trying." I scold him, shaking my head to show how much I disapproved.
I begin to walk off, but Michael pulls on my forearm to hold me in place. "Don't you remember what happened last night?"
"Why wouldn't I? What's your point?" I question, feeling the heat rise in my cheeks.
"I just like seeing you blush." He snickers and quickly dodges my hand colliding with his shoulder.

"Max!" I shout down the hallways and saunter in his direction as soon as I see him turn his head.
"Hi babe what's up?" He smiles widely and engulfs me in a hug.
"So I wanted to tell you that I never made plans with Michael so I'm free to hang out if you want."
"I'd love to, but I made plans already since I thought you had plans." He sadly announces.
"What?" I rhetorically ask, feeling so much hatred towards Michael right now.
"I'm sorry we'll hang out later though." He says, kissings my cheek. His eye catches sight of one of his friends so he says, "I'll catch you later." And he shuts me out, caring about his friends more than me.
I don't even know why I'm upset, I mean I'm the one who slept with someone else. I didn't really deserve his love anymore, whether he was giving it to me or not. By now I felt so guilty I could hardly handle my own self. Tears pricked my eyes, and there's only one person I'd rather talk to about this.
I go into the library where I knew no-one would be and take out my phone, dialing her number.
It rings three times before going to voice mail. "Hey, Anna. Uh I really really need to talk to you. I made a huge mistake and I don't know how to fix it. Call me back, bye."
I sniff and push my phone back in my pocket. I'm about to walk back out into the main hallways but his voice stopped me.
"Hopefully I wasn't your mistake." Michael ponders in an amused tone.
I roll my eyes and walk to the back, maybe trying to find a way out that way.
"Where you off to?"
"Why are you even in the library?" I fire at him, making it my turn to press questions.
"I saw you in here and thought I'd make it worth your while." He raises his eyebrow at me, making me scoff at his actions.
"What you dont want me anymore? What happened to the girl that was going to start takijg chances?"
"I'm still that same person, but we can't do this anymore." I saw motioning between the both of us to make more emphasis. "This can't become a thing."
Michael steps closer to me, closing in the space between us. "Don't worry we won't." He whispers dangerously and leans in.
Feeling his hot breath on my face gets the temperature rising, and somehow I let him in.
His lips come in contact with mine and I kiss him back hard, not realizing that I missed the way he tasted on my tongue.
He breaks off the kiss, pulling my bottom lip with him. "I know you feel guilty baby, but don't worry because he's still dating you. I'm just giving you the pleasure that he can't. I'll put pleasure where your guilt is." Michael winks after giving me the run down. He plants a kiss on my neck and leaves me distraught.
Oddly enough, I felt more comfort in our wrong doings. How was he okay though with me having a boyfriend. I remember what Ashton said about him and how he only did one night stands. But if he's still chasing after me, am I his 'no strings attached'? But he almost never does that, Ashton says. So what are we? Where will this lead to?
I have a feeling I have no idea what I've gotten myself into.
