My dad, the sheriff, looked me straight in the eye, and I looked back at him, not breaking the gaze, "I know sure as hell Naomi, that you didn't lay a finger on Serena." He said to me. "You know better." He added, I nodded and I sighed, then he went on, "Mr. Irwin... You were the last with her, right?" My dad asked my curly hair friend.
"Yes, Sheriff Stark." Ashton answered.
Before my dad could finish, Valerie cut in, "Leave him alone! I was with him when the murder was taking place at your accurate time. He's broken and you saying this to him is enough! He's fucking broken, leave him alone!"
