Summer Sky | L.T.

It took me 2 days to arrive because I couldn't spend more than 7 hours behind a wheel before falling asleep. I had never drunk so much coffee in a few hours. It also didn't help that it was blistering hot in my car even with the windows open. "Next time I'm so going to take a plane, what was I thinking?" I muttered to myself after stopping for the millionths time.

I was happy that I had enough music to listen at and I have to confess that I sung to every song and that I didn't care who could hear me, poor people. After I hit the toll road, I was there in a few hours and when I recognised the area I slowed down a bit, just to appreciate the nature around me and before I went to my aunts house, I drove to the top of the town, which looked out over the village and the sea. I loved this spot last year and now I could even appreciate it more because I myself was feeling better.

After removing all the toxic out of my life, I felt better and now I was in the best place possible. There were no worries and I just loved life again. I sat in my car, whilst watching the ocean when it started to get dark. I had to go to my aunts before she started to get worried. I drove through the village in a slow pace, as it wasn't that busy yet.

Eventually I reached my aunts house and they were already waiting for me to welcome me. "Welcome home Sky." Marie said whilst pulling me out of my car to give me a hug. "Finally she returns" Lucian said from behind Marie. I had to giggle about that. "I'm sorry it took me so long Lucian." I said whilst ruffling his hair. He jumped out of my reach and cursed at me for messing up his hair. "Oi shut up and give me a hug." I said to him. He hugged me and grabbed my bags, I couldn't help but glance at the house next to my aunts, Lucian followed my gaze and I could see the worry in his eyes but it could also be my imagination because why would he be worried right?

Lucian brought my bags to my own room, it was the same room as last year so I couldn't be happier about that. "Sky, you really look good, much better then last year." Marie hugged me again before leading me into the kitchen, it was like she heard my stomach because damn I was hungry. "I have some carrot cake if you want?"

"Yes please, I'm starving." I smiled at her and took a seat at the table when Lucian came walking back in. "Lucian how are you and Jamie?" I asked them whilst stuffing my face with cake. "We are great and I had to say that he expect you on the beach tomorrow at 11am sharp." I laughed about that, the bastard wasn't going to give me a break.

"Really?! I can't even sleep in?" He shook his head "Damn well I better get to bed then." I announced but Lucian immediately pouted his lips. "I thought that maybe we could go out tonight?" The last time I went out, it was a disaster "I promise I will keep everyone away from you and I won't give you any alcohol." He was even holding up his pinky but I didn't pinky swear with him because one drink couldn't harm anyone. "Let me get changed first and then we will go but I want to be back at 3am and not later because I do have to run a lot of miles tomorrow, knowing Jamie."

He was already running to his room. I quickly went into my room and pulled out my skinny jeans and a white crop top. This was going to be fun, I put on some heels as Ashley teached me how to walk in them and now I felt comfortable walking in them. "Are you ready Sky?" I grabbed my clutch and walked out of the room and saw Lucian waiting for me. His mouth dropped when he saw me. "You look hot girl." It made me giggle and I said to same back because he was hot and before everybody is grossed out by that, just chill, I just have a hot nephew.

We stepped into the club and I had to laugh because he had dragged me to a gay club and I felt at home immediately because I just got grabbed by my arm and pulled to the dancefloor. I danced my ass off to the best songs ever and the fact that they all knew the words of the songs made it even better because everyone was singing along and I didn't have to pay attention to anything.

It was just me and Lucian on the dancefloor busting some awesome moves if I say so myself. "Luce, I'm going to get a drink, I'll be right back." I yelled into his ear, he nodded and continued dancing. I walked up to the bar and ordered a coke as I didn't want to het drunk. I was waiting when I suddenly got grabbed by my waist. "You didn't even say hi to me Sky." I heard Jamie say and I quickly turned around and hugged him tightly "O MY GOD, I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" I screamed and he was smirking at me. "I know."

"As if you didn't miss me." I said whilst crossing my arms, he shrugged and I pushed him a little.

"Just kidding, of course I missed you crazy woman." He hugged me again. "I knew it, and who is the crazy person. I mean I'm not demanding your presence at 11 am tomorrow for a run to god knows where and back." I shot back at him whilst accepting my drink. "I know but I have to make sure you are still in the condition I left you."

"I'm sure you wont be disappointed." He winked at me before pulling me to the dance floor again and this is how I spend my night, having fun with two of the best people ever. I did stayed sober and had to drag Lucian with me as he was drunk of his ass. "You couldn't just stop when you began to feel tipsy?" I said to him whilst walking home and normally we would use a car but well we were in no condition to drive.

I wasn't drunk but I did drink alcohol and we all know that you don't drink and drive especially when the person next to you is Lucian. I had pulled of my shoes as walking in heels and dragging Lucian along isn't a great combination. I had to tell him to shut up multiple times because he was singing really loudly and yes I had to giggle about it but I felt sorry for the people who were living here as he didn't have a great voice to begin with.

"Lucian will you keep quiet!" I said whilst slapping him on the head softly. "HE STOP HITTING ME BIAAATCH." He yelled and that did it, I couldn't contain myself anymore. I let go of him and just kneeled down laughing. He was ridiculous and even fell to the floor because he couldn't keep his balance. "God we are some pair aren't we." I said and of course I got the hiccups as well. "You know Sky, I'm happy you're here." He said whilst looking up at the stars. "I'm happy that I'm here as well." I got up again after the worst had passed and helped Lucian get up.

"You have to work with me for a second Luce." He tried but his legs were trembling but somehow he managed to get him up. We continued our walk home and when I finally saw the house I couldn't be happier because Lucian was beginning to get heavy.

"Luce open your eyes, were home." He opened his eyes and straightened up a bit and walked into the house. I followed him when I heard someone approach me from behind. I quickly turned around but didn't see anyone so I walked into the house as well. I let myself fall on my bed without even changing my clothes, I was exhausted and my arms were aching like crazy after dragging Lucian with me for at least a few miles.

The next morning the sun was shining way too bright. I groaned whilst turning around in my bed, I did enjoy the breeze that came through my window. "Did I open the window?" I heard myself ask. I couldn't quite remember as I was way too tired. I threw the blankets of me and stopped for a second when I saw my reflection. I was wearing a shirt and that was it. "Did I undress myself?" I asked myself again, why was I so confused, I had probably done that when I had woken up during the night and that's why I probably couldn't remember it as I was still half asleep.

I walked into the bathroom and took a quick shower. I only put on a short and a tank top, as I was going to run with Jamie in less then 2 hours. Only the thought of running right now made me tired again. I walked to my door when something caught my sight it were my clothes from last night. They were neatly folded on my chair, knowing me I wouldn't even think about folding them and I would probably just throw them on the floor. Someone had been in my room but I couldn't think of anyone else then Marie. I had to ask her.

I walked down whilst tying up my hair into a bun on top of my head when I heard Marie talk. "I haven't told her yet Jean." I was curious enough to keep myself hidden and yes I know eavesdropping is a bad habit but as they were talking behind my back, it was only fair right?

"You have to tell her because she will freak out." Weird conversation, why would I freak out and about what?

"I will tell her today Jean, she just got here." What the hell were they talking about, could they be even more mysterious? I decided to disturb them. I walked into the kitchen when I saw the shock on their faces. "Good morning Marie and Jean." I pretended that I didn't just heard them talk about me behind my back because what was the use. "Marie is it okay if I grab some of those croissants?" They smelled delicious "Of course Sky." She said quietly, I walked over to the basket with croissants and threw a glance at Mr Tomlinson. "Jean, how have you been doing?" I asked him politely. "Oh I have been doing fine thank you."

"Glad to hear that everything is fine, are you still together with uhm what was her name?" I asked him and he smiled "Rose, yes we are still together and happy."

He was really smiling now "I'm really happy for you." I said this so he would know that the conversation was over and to make it even clearer I began to eat my croissants. "Sky, we have to talk to you." I looked up and met their worried expression. "About what?" Before Mr Tomlinson could say something his phone ringed. "Shit I have to take this, can we finish this conversation tonight?"

"Sure." I got up and put my plate in the sink and grabbed my bag. "I'm at Jamie's." I told Marie and kissed her on her cheek before leaving the house.

After running for at least 2 hours, I was happy that I made my way back to his private beach. I let myself fall on the sand and just lay there waiting for Jamie to arrive as I had out beaten him. "How in the world did you do that?" I smiled but kept my eyes closed. "I almost never skipped a day and that made me run faster as it was cold this winter." I felt the air around me stir when he lay down next to me.

"So how was your year?"

"I had fun, made friends and attended college." It wasn't really that eventful. "So what happened between you and?" I stopped him, "I rather not talk about that." He nodded but I had to cool of and dived into the water. This was refreshing and it made me feel better after a long day. Jamie was already waiting for me with a towel. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have brought it up" he did look sorry even though he hadn't done anything wrong.

"It's okay, I just don't like to talk about it, I rather focus on happy things." He hugged me with the towel and after talking some more, I was happy to find out that he was planning to ask Lucian to come and live with him. He had my blessing. "I have to go, I will see you tomorrow, same time?" I asked him.

"Yes of course, see you tomorrow." He kissed me on my cheek before walking back into his house. I was still in my short and tanktop and I looked like a mess but that was okay. I walked through the village and stopped when I saw the tattoo parlour where I got my two tattoos last year and to be honest I really wanted another one. I walked into the store and looked around and it looked exactly the same. I was staring at the artwork when I heard the beads that separated the parlour with the office move. "Hi, I would like to het another tattoo." I said whilst turning but I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the face I once loved, he was also shocked to see me in here. He swallowed as I was still stuck to the same spot. He blinked a few times before he approached me.

"I'm happy to help you, do you want to get one now?"
