Chapter 80

I tried to breathe evenly as I approached Aubrey. I knew that Harry was fond of her. That didn't bother me. Harry had repeatedly proved that he loved me and only me. He knew how to make me feel that he was never going to leave. We were strong in our faith in each other, in our small family. I wanted to hit her still.
I smiled politely at her as I stopped before her, "Hi Aubrey."
"Hi." Her eyes were filled with fear. It made me feel a bit proud. "Um...I'm sorry." She stated. I lifted my eyebrow at her. "I don't exactly know what to say actually." She grumbled.
"It's okay. I'm don't know what to say to you either." I chuckled. Aubrey looked at me curiously, fear still hidden in her eyes. "Look..." I sighed heavily. "It's not a secret that I don't like you. Chances are, I never will." I stated curtly. Aubrey frowned deeply. I then stood beside her. "See that man over there, the one with the dimples." I motioned to Harry. Aubrey smiled a bit. "He seems to like you. And that cute little baby that looks just like him." I motioned to Darcy. "She seems to think you're okay too." I sighed and turned my face to hers again. "Again, I don't like you. Probably won't." I looked at Harry and Darcy, "But they do. So...I'll be nice to you. You can spend time with them. I don't mind that." Aubrey smiled brightly at me. I took a step closer to her. "I trust Harry." I murmured. "But along with not liking you, I don't trust you." Aubrey frowned again. "If I ever see or hear that you tried to do anything with him, I will not be nice any longer. I am not Harry. I am not afraid to be mean." I lifted my eyebrow at her, waiting to see if she would try to challenge me. I knew I was acting a little childish but I always wanted to have all the cards on the table. Aubrey nodded quickly. I smiled, "Stay. Hang out for a bit. I'm sure that Darcy and Harry would like to see you." I glided away, leaving Aubrey at the door flabbergasted.

I plopped myself back on the bar stool next to Harry. He looked between Aubrey and I suspiciously. He was shocked when Aubrey was rushed by our daughter.
"HI!" Darcy shouted with excitement. "It's Mummy's birthday!" Darcy informed Aubrey. Aubrey nodded and knelt in front of Darcy. "Did you bring Mummy a present?" Darcy asked.
Aubrey shook her head, "I didn't know what to get for Mummy."
Darcy giggled, "That's okay. Mummy just likes people. Mummy will like it that you're here. Daddy too." Darcy grabbed Aubrey's hand and tugged, "Come on. I gotta show you the play-set Daddy put up for me." Aubrey followed Darcy over to where she had left Freddie.
Harry turned to me with concerned eyes, "What did you say to her?"
"Nothing really. Hang out, have a drink." I replied with a terse smile. Harry gave me a look that said he wasn't for playing games. "I said that I don't like her. I won't ever like her. And I don't trust her. But I love you, I trust you. And because of that, and how much Darcy likes her, I will be nice to her. Until she crosses a line." Harry knew that that wasn't all that was said; his face was still made of stone. "Alright, I might have threatened her too." I admitted quietly.
"ENOLA!" Harry snapped while everyone around us chuckled.
"Oh calm down, Bear. It's not like I said "if you look at my man, I'll break your knee caps". It was a polite threat." I smiled weakly.
"What did you say?" He inquired.
"I said that if I ever see or hear of her trying something with you. I will not be so nice anymore." I answered honestly.
"Enola, I would never..." Harry began.
I placed my hand on his chest, "I know you wouldn't, baby. I know." I kissed him gently. "It's her I don't trust but you need friends other than the boys and Darcy likes her. I am being civil." Harry stared at me with loving eyes. "Oh, don't look at me like that. I don't like her. I won't ever like her. Because of her, I almost didn't end up in your bed." I mumbled to Harry.
"Yes. But you did." Harry grinned draping his arm over my shoulders. He kissed me softly and placed his hand on my thigh. "I love you. You know that will never change. Nothing will ever stop me from loving you." Harry whispered in my ear. I grinned and leaned against him a little more.

Aubrey walked over to where Harry and I were standing. I smiled politely at her then flicked my eyes up to Harry's. Harry still seemed nervous. I knew he was unsure of what would happen still. I noticed that Perrie and Sophia were nearly glaring daggers at Aubrey. I bit my lip and swatted at them quickly.
"Stooop." I giggled, trying to shame them but completely failing. Perrie and Sophia both turned to Brynn and they started to talk. I rolled my eyes and mumbled under my breath, "Great my friends are Regina, Gretchen and Karen. This is lovely."
Perrie glared at me, "If anyone is Regina George, it's you."I stuck my tongue out at her. Harry started to laugh quietly. He kissed my temple and squeezed me a little harder.
"Hey Harry." Aubrey smiled weakly.
"Hey." He replied sweetly. "I didn't think that you were going to come out." Harry said with a shaky tone. I lifted my eyebrow; he was unsure of her being there. I was instantly confused by Aubrey.
"Can we talk?" Aubrey asked shyly.
"Yeah. Talk." Harry now seemed even more nervous. I tensed in my chair and gripped the back of Harry's shirt tightly. Harry draped his arm over my shoulder and leaned against the makeshift bar he'd put together.
"Harry." Aubrey whined, looking toward me.
Harry sighed heavily and kissed my lips lightly, "I'll be right back, baby." Aubrey looked shocked by the fact that Harry kissed me. She didn't know that Harry and I were together again. Harry led Aubrey away but he stayed close enough for me to hear. I thought it was interesting. "What Aubrey?" Harry seemed annoyed.
"I wanted to apologize." Aubrey stated sadly.
"For what?" Harry inquired, seemingly interested.
"What I said to you the night of your sister's wedding."Aubrey sighed a bit. "Listen, I know that you love Enola. I get it I do. You have a child with her but..."
"Are you trying to tell me that just because we have a child, it may not be a good thing for us to be together again?" Harry asked with a small smile.
Aubrey nodded sadly, "And I'm not saying it because I love you...well I do love you...but that's not the kind of love I mean. I want you to be happy and I want you to be with someone who makes you whole."
"And you think that person is you?" Harry asked Aubrey with a skeptical tone.
She blushed, "I'm just saying. If she's not giving you the time of day, why can't you be with someone that cares about you?"
"Because I am with someone who cares about me. Enola and I have been together since Gemma's wedding. She's my wife and that's how it is. And think that if you're going to keep trying to get between us, maybe you shouldn't come around anymore." Harry stated sadly. "I like you Aubrey I do. But like you said, I love Enola. I have the chance do to things right with her this time and I...no other relationship is worth losing her. She has ALWAYS been my everything, since the moment I met her. I fucked up the first time around. Yeah, I found out that I really do need her but I missed out on Darcy. I should've been there. I'm not doing that again." Aubrey's face dropped and she looked ready to cry. "If you can't...if you really loved me you'd understand that. If you can't deal, then you need to leave. It's just the way it is." Harry stated with a shrug. Aubrey nodded and wiped her face of tears. I felt my heart race in my chest and my lips tremble. Harry really was the sweetest, most loving man.
"I'm going to go then." Aubrey mumbled before almost running to the door. Harry came back to me with a sad smile. I grabbed the collar of his shirt and kissed him passionately.
Harry backed away, out of breath, "What was that for?"
"I love you. I love you so much." I beamed up at him. Harry grinned and meshed his sweet, soft, plump lips to mine, ready to devour me in front of everyone.

Notes

Sorry it's total FLUFF but hey obstacles are out of the way....right? ;D

I would've posted last night but as some of you saw on my IG, I thought my computer crashed last night. :( I was talking to Olivia and Katy, SOBBING, because I thought I'd lost ALL of this story and every other one I have ever written. Thankfully, Olivia saved the day! Woohoo!
But this is going to be the last post for about a week, depending on how fast I get some writing done. I have completely posted everything I have written and saved up for the last 8 months. And I am FINALLY going to put Fool's Gold and what I have of this story and all of my one shots on Wattpad. Those can be found HERE . YAY! With that being said my stories will NEVER, EVER be on any other site or under another name beside PaigeDex.
