Chapter 105

I shifted on the couch feeling a little more than uncomfortable. Harry eyed me as he spoke to Niall and Louis. Everyone had decided on a having a mini hang out at our house. Darcy was thrilled because Harry and the boys had been home for a few days and she'd not seen Freddie. I shifted once again, not enjoying that familiar pull of muscles. I gripped the edge of the sofa tightly, trying to get up from the sofa. My back had been hurting for nearly two days. It was starting to get worse.
"Enola, what do you need? I'll get it for you." Liam smiled, trying to be helpful. I shook my head slowly. "Are you sure? I can." Liam pressed a bit.
"Nah. Not unless you can find a way to induce labor that's not drugs." I replied with a smile. "I just want this kid out of me." I chuckled.
"Harry, get on it. We'll watch Darcy, you go love up your woman till her water breaks." Niall laughed.
I shook my head, "I already have one Styles man invading my body, I don't need another at the moment. Thank you." Harry shook his head and motioned me over. I looked at him curiously.
"Do you want me to rub your back?" He inquired.
"No. That's how we ended up here sir." I snapped quietly. He frowned deeply. "I'm sorry." I whimpered. "I'm sorry. I'm just uncomfortable. There's nothing you guys can do." I started to cry.
Harry took my hand in his, "You can be as snippy as you want. You're the one carrying that baby." I leaned into him and let him hug me tightly. Harry kissed my forehead, "Are you going to walk around the house?" It was something I'd been doing since he got home. I would roam the house and every isle at the shops to force myself into labor. I nodded and stood from the sofa with his help. "Well, you yell if something happens." Harry insisted. I nodded and started on my daily mosey.

I stood in the kitchen leaning against the counter. I was reading a magazine and trying not to think about the pain in my lower back. It'd gotten really bad in the last few days. I knew that I was supposed to be off my feet but I wanted the baby out. I grunted a bit when I felt him kick my ribs.
"Noli. How ya doing, baby?" Harry inquired as he walked into the kitchen.
"My back is killing me. And he's kicking up a storm." I replied honestly. Harry stood behind me and placed his hands on my lower back. He pressed his thumbs into the tight muscles and massaged gently. I groaned and rested my forehead on the cool marble counter top.
"Whoa! What the fuck did I walk in on?" Louis laughed as he entered the room, startling Harry and I.
"My back hurts, you pervert." I snapped at him.
Louis chuckled, "I know. You think it's contractions?" I shrugged. I remembered what contractions with Darcy had felt like, the pain wasn't the same.
"Wait. What?" Harry sounded worried.
"A lot of women feel contractions in their back. Briana did with Freddie." Louis stated with a shrug as he pulled two juice boxes from the fridge. Harry looked at me with wide eyes.
"I felt Darcy's in my stomach. This doesn't feel the same. I think there is too much strain on my back, honey." I informed him with a reassuring smile. "I promise, I will tell you when something is happening." I giggled. Harry nodded slowly. "Don't be scared, baby." I murmured caressing his hand as it slid onto my belly. He just nodded again.
"It's good all good, lad." Louis smiled at Harry, patting him on the back. I rested my head on the counter top again. "He looks whiter than a ghost and nothing has even happened yet." Louis laughed as he walked out of the kitchen. I giggled and held Harry's hand as it rested on my belly.
"Do you want to take a bath?" Harry asked, trying to be as helpful as possible. I nodded and tried to hold onto the pain in my back. "Okay. I'll ask everyone to keep an eye on Darcy. And I'll run you a bath." He smiled kissing my head. I nodded and stood upright as he made his way toward the living room. I gasped as I felt something that I knew very well. I placed my hands on my belly.
"Harry." I murmured. I wanted to be calm for his sake. He turned around and hummed. "Forget the bath, Bear." I nearly whispered.
His brows furrowed, "Why? I can do it in the downstairs bath if you don't wanna go upstairs."
"Harry, honey, " I smiled. "I need you to pack that bag and call your mother." His face went white. "Should I yell at you?" I giggled. He didn't move. "HARRY! Pack the bag for the hospital!" I laughed loudly.
"Right!" Harry ran into the other room. He came back after a moment. "Wait. Wait. How do you know?" He asked.
"Bear, my water broke. I really need you to pack the bag while I change my clothes." I explained calmly, trying not to get irritated. He nodded and took my hand in his, leading me to the stairs.

"Hey Darcy, babygirl." Harry called out as we entered the living room again. Her little head popped up. "I need you to put your shoes and jacket on." Harry smiled at her.
"But Daddy! I wanna play with Freddie!" She whined.
"I know you do, baby. But it's time to go meet your brother." Harry beamed at her. Darcy jumped off the floor and ran toward the door.
"Seriously?" Louis laughed. I nodded with a smile. "Do you want me to take Darcy?" Louis inquired. "She can stay with Freddie and I for the night." He offered.
Harry shook his head, "No. She is adamant that she is going to be there. Even if she's just sitting in the waiting room with my mum."
Darcy ran back in the room, "And after Mummy and Daddy hold my brother, I get to! Mummy said that nobody will hold brother before me!"
Sophia smiled at her, "Are you excited?"
Darcy nodded, "You come too Auntie! You come too!"
"Oh honey, Uncle Liam and I are going to come to the hospital when it gets closer for brother to come into the world." Sophia grinned at her. Darcy nodded with excitement.
"Come on, Daddy! Let's go! Let's go!" Darcy shouted grabbing his hand and pulling him toward the door.
"I'll have Harry call when it's a good time to come in." I informed everyone in our living room.
"Darcy, we can't leave without Mummy! She's the one with the baby!" Harry laughed from the hallway. I shook my head and walked toward the sound of them giggling in the hall.
"We'll see you guys later." I laughed hearing Darcy talk to Harry about all the things she wanted to do with the baby.

I laid in the hospital bed quietly. Harry sat beside me, holding my hand tightly. HE stroked my hand with his thumb and hummed quietly. I smiled and brushed his hair back. Harry lifted my hand to his lips.
"Don't be scared, Bear. It'll be okay." I murmured to him. I was trying to be quiet because Darcy was asleep on the sofa. We were waiting for Anne and Gemma so they could watch Darcy. He nodded and kissed my hand again. "Can you tell me what you're thinking?" I asked him quietly.
"I'm excited." Harry smiled at me. "Fucking terrified too. But it's a good terrified I think." He explained.
"What are you thinking about most?" I inquired.
"I wanna know what he looks like. What his cry is going to sound like. I wanna know what Darcy is going to do when she actually sees him." Harry chuckled. "I wanna see what he looks like lying on your chest." I smiled, trying to hold back the tears. "What are you thinking? How are you feeling?" He seemed a bit worried.
"I'm feeling fine. I'm a little sleepy. I might try to take a nap." I replied honestly. "I'm wondering about you." I was still holding back tears. "How you'll be with me during labor. How you'll react to what happens. What you'll do when you see him."
"I'll probably cry." He laughed a bit. I giggled and nodded. "I'm mostly excited, Nols. I wanna meet him. I wanna hold him." I wiped my eyes quickly. I loved the smile on his face. I could see the genuine excitement in his face.

"Noli. Noli. Look at me, baby." Harry murmured to me. I gazed up at him, tears rolling down my face from the pain.
"Help me. Help me. Help me." I cried holding onto his wrists as tightly as I could. Harry sat me up and wrapped his arms around my back. I buried my face in his chest and sobbed from the extreme pain. Harry rubbed my back gently, trying to ease the pain. He kissed my shoulders, neck and face lightly. I threw my head back and screamed as another contraction floored me.
"Why are we even here?" My doctor laughed seeing the way that Harry was trying to help me. "Harry, I have to check her again." My doctor informed him.
"No no no no no." I pleaded, holding onto him tightly as he tried to stand from the bed.
Harry shushed me, "Just lie back. I'm still right here, Nols." He laid me against the pillows and pressed his forehead to mine. "I'm right here." He whispered again, kissing my lips softly.
"I love you." I sobbed. "I love you so much. I'm...I'm so in love with you. I knew the moment I met you. I felt it in my soul and I knew that the life I'd been living was just killing time until you walked into my life." I murmured to him.
"I love you too. I've never loved anyone or anything the way I love you. Every day I look at you and I know that you are an angel that was made just for me. You level me with the way you even glance at me. I've never seen anyone, met anyone as beautiful as you. You give me a reason to be on this Earth every time you breathe." He murmured, not caring that the doctor and my nurses were listening to him. "And our babies are so lucky to have you as their mum. Do you know why?" He leaned in a bit more. I just gazed at him, tears coming out of me in buckets. "You have the most amazing touch. I can feel everything you think and feel when you put your hand right here." He placed my hand on his chest, the spot that I loved. "I can see the love in your eyes when you say my name. You wrap me in warmth every time you hold my hand. They are always going to know how much Mummy loves them without hearing the three most overused words on the planet." I let out an incoherent sob and pulled him into a hug. I caressed the back of his head with a gentle hand.
"I love you, Bear. I'm sorry I don't have all of your beautiful words. But I do." I stated, trying to catch my breath.
"Don't need words. You're giving me babies." Harry kissed my ear lightly.
"Enola." The doctor pulled my attention from Harry. "When you feel another contraction, I want you to push." I nodded quickly, begging silently for another wave of intolerable pain. "Harry, when she pushes, you need to hold her leg back so she's got leverage and the baby has space."
"What?" Harry appeared stunned.
I giggled, "Stand up." Harry did as asked. "Hold my hand." I held my hand out and he placed his long, strong fingers in mine. "Now, grab my leg under my knee and hold it to the railing." I explained. Harry did as told. "Now. Now. Now." I informed the doctor. The other nurse came running over and grabbed my other leg. I squeezed Harry's hand, using him as part of my leverage.
"Again, honey. That was great." The doctor grinned. I repeated the process over again. Harry peeked between my legs and made a face like he was going to pass out. The doctor laughed, telling the nurse to let me rest. Harry and the nurse dropped my legs.
"Are you okay?" I asked Harry, panting from trying so hard.
He appeared confused, "Why are you asking if I'm okay? I'm not the one trying to push a baby out."
"Because you looked like you were going to pass out." I giggled. Harry shook his head and kissed my temple. "Can you see his head yet?" I asked softly.
"I didn't actually like look. I just peeked." Harry blushed.
"No head yet, sweetheart." The nurse informed me with a grin. I nodded and relaxed while I could. Harry stroked my hair and kissed my hand. He gazed at me with all of the love in his heart. "Do you want him right on your chest when he comes out?" The nurse asked politely.
I nodded quickly, "We have to look at him. He needs a name. I have to see him." The nurse smiled and agreed to place our baby on my chest the moment he came out. "I need to push again." I informed everyone in the room. Harry grabbed my leg reluctantly and held it back. I inhaled deeply, holding the breath, then I proceeded to bear down and force my son out.
"You're doing so good, baby. So good." Harry whispered as he placed a gentle kiss on my forehead. I looked up at him with tired eyes. "Almost. I can see his head." Harry said as he looked down. The doctor smiled at Harry then gave him a nod. I squeezed his hand feeling a slight pain. "Come on. Try again. I know you can do it." Harry beamed. I inhaled then pushed.
"A few more and we'll have a baby." The doctor announced. "Give it hell, honey." I repeated the painful, exhausting action one more time. "One more time." She instructed.
"You're amazing, Noli. You doing great." Harry held my hand tightly as I felt the doctors hands grabbing.
"Two more, Enola. You got this." My doctor grinned. As I felt the severe pain, I pushed again. "His head." The doctor announced. "One more!" I inhaled and pushed as hard as I could, squeezing Harry's hand as hard as I could. "And we have a baby!" The doctor shouted. I relaxed into the bed only to have a baby dropped on my chest. I burst into hysterical sobs again as I hugged the baby tight.
"My baby." I sobbed. I looked up at Harry. Tears brimmed in his eyes and he chewed on his lips.
"Atlas." Harry and I whispered at the same time. The baby had ocean blue eyes and his father's dark hair. Harry leaned forward and kissed me passionately. I felt all of the love he had for me and our children as he devoured my mouth with his. "He's so beautiful, Enola. So beautiful."
"We need to get this guy all cleaned up now." The nurse smiled trying to take Atlas from my arms. I sadly gave him away. The nurse carried him to be weighed and washed. Harry sat down on the bed and gazed at me with wonder as he brushed the hair out of my face.
"I thought you were so beautiful and strong before." He murmured. "I can see how wrong I was. You are the most amazing human on the planet..." He choked up a bit.
"Daddy? Do you want to hold your son?" The nurse asked Harry, walking up with Atlas in her arms. HE jumped up but looked nervous. "Here you go little man, there's Daddy." The nurse smiled, placing Atlas in his arms. Harry turned to me with a smile. He sat down beside me again.
"Atlas. My son." Harry whispered as he stared at the baby. "My son." Harry smiled. "I am going to give you the world, buddy. You and your sister, you are going to have everything under the stars. You can even have the stars if you want them." Harry looked up at me, "What's his middle name?" I thought for a moment, as did Harry. Our eyes met and we smiled. Our voices said his name in unison once again. "Let's keep it in the family." Harry beamed at me. I nodded slowly.
"Harry. We need you to step out. We have to clean Enola up. I'm sure that everyone would like to know that everything went perfectly. Baby can stay in here with Mummy." My nurse informed him. Harry gently handed Atlas to the nurse then kissed me once more.
"I should go talk to our entourage." He grinned. I nodded and pushed him off to the door.
"You have one amazing man." My doctor muttered as Harry walked out of the room.
