Chapter 102

"Okay. You girls need to decide if you want to do red carpet with the boys, while we wait for Harry to stop acting like a diva." Paul informed Brynn, Sophia and myself. I rolled my eyes. They always got so upset with Harry for taking his time to get ready.
"Do you girls want to?" Brynn asked nervously. I shrugged and Sophia did as well. "Niall?" Brynn looked a bit more worried.
"You can if you want to, baby. But I would like it if you did." Niall smiled at her gently.
"I feel the same. I'd like to have you, Soph." Liam beamed at his wife. I couldn't help but smile with the way Sophia blushed.
"Holy shit." I heard Harry behind me. I turned to face him a little more. I giggled when I saw the stunned look on his face. "Fuck this. We're not going." Harry smirked a little.
"What? Why not?" Niall nearly screeched as Harry wrapped his arms around me. I placed my hand on the back of Harry's neck and buried my face into his neck, just wanting to feel him.
Harry pressed his lips to my ear then whispered, "But you can leave the dress on." I giggled loudly and punched him in the stomach gently.
"Never mind. They're just being gross again." Niall grunted, rolling his eyes. I kissed Harry's neck softly, without anyone noticing.
"Alright. Alright. Break it up, lovebirds." Paul laughed. "E, what do you think, red carpet or no?" Paul asked as Harry and I untangled from each other.
"I have to red carpet." I stated, still giggling.
"Why do you have to red carpet?" Dale asked with a curious gaze.
"It was a condition." I answered honestly with bright red cheeks.
Louis appeared confused, "A condition for what?"
"Do you really want to know?" Harry asked Louis. Louis just stared back at Harry. Harry lifted his eyebrow, like he was questioning Louis' resolve.
"You know what, absolutely not." Louis answered. I felt my face heating up again. "That's ridiculous, by the way." Louis added as he turned away slightly.
"I am five months pregnant and I have hormones. A LOT of them. Get over it." I snapped at them. Harry pulled me closer as he laughed at the disgusted expressions on everyone's faces.
"Where is Darcy?" Sophia asked after a moment.
"My dad's. She was bribed with sweets and toys to go there. Plus she got to bring the dog and she really likes hanging out with my dad." Harry replied with a smile.
"So, girls are red carpeting?" Paul asked.
"I'll do it." Sophia answered with a shrug.
Brynn looked to Niall, "You really want me to do it?" Niall nodded with a sweet smile. "Okay. I will too." Brynn stated nervously.
"And we all know Enola's in." Paul announced with a wary look. I gave a single nod. "Okay. Everyone in the car. Time to go." Paul shooed everyone toward the door. As everyone walked out of the house, Harry kissed me softly. I leaned into him adoring the attention he was giving me. He cupped my cheeks gently backing out of the kiss.
"What was that for?" I asked with a big dorky grin.
"I love you. More than anything. I love our little family more than anything. You know that right?" Harry seemed a bit nervous.
"Of course I do, baby. But why are you worried that I don't?" I was a bit confused.
"There are going to be certain... people at this event tonight and I..." Harry paused with a huff. "I love you. I don't want what we have with anyone else." Harry stated.
I held up my hand, showing him my engagement ring, "You kind of told me that already." Harry beamed at me and kissed me once more. "But I will cut a bitch." I murmured against his lips with a giggle. Harry groaned and kissed me harder.
"Let's go, you two!" Paul called out to Harry and I.

"Alright, babe. Ready?" Harry asked, as we were the last ones to get out of the car. I nodded and breathed deeply. "Just remember, breathe and if you need to get out tell me. I can get you off the carpet if the baby can't handle it." He stated. He didn't want me to get to stressed out again. Harry slid out of the car with ease then he turned around to help my pregnant body out. "You good?" He inquired as I stood up straight and tried to get my balance. I nodded. "Great. Let's do this." He put his arm around my shoulders and let me lean on him a bit.
"Are we ready?" Liam asked the group as a whole. We all nodded. "People are going to shit Harry." Liam chuckled looking me over, his eyes lingering on my belly.
"Don't care." Harry shrugged. I held onto him a little tighter as we started walking toward the crowds of people. I placed my hand on my stomach to soothe myself. I also felt the need to attempt to protect my child. "Everything will be just fine baby." Harry whispered. "Just keep your hand on that belly and don't let go of me." Harry tightened his grip on me as I nodded. We followed behind Liam and Sophia to a point where we were told what management had blacklisted. I laughed when they said that interviewers couldn't ask about my pregnancy.
"You really think it's going to matter if it's talked about or not." I snapped at the PR girl. "Look at me. I'm a beached fucking whale." Harry tapped my arm gently then shook his head. "What? I'm obviously pregnant. This is stupid." I huffed. "You can't exactly hide this!" I motioned to my very large stomach.
"Do you want me to take it off the list?" The PR girl asked Harry with scared eyes.
"She's right. It is ridiculous." Harry shrugged.
"Okay. I'll take it off." She smiled at Harry and I nervously. She crossed it off the list then proceeded to tell Sophia, Brynn and I that we didn't have to speak unless we felt like it or something was directed at us. I tapped my foot impatiently. My back was starting to hurt and I wanted to sit already. "You guys are good to go. Good luck." The girl smiled at us.
"Sorry. I snapped at you. You're just doing your job." I apologized softly, before we really had to walk away.
The girl shook her head, "You've got a lot on your plate. I thought it was silly too. Have fun."

"Are you alright?" Harry whispered in my ear as we stood almost perfectly still as cameras flashed all around us. I just smiled at him. "You're good?" He asked trying to be sure.
I chuckled, "I'm fine, Bear." He grinned at the sound of his nickname. He pressed his forehead to mine and stared into my eyes for a moment. I reached up and ruffled his hair a bit. He laughed and we went back to talking to the boys, Sophia and Brynn.
"This is insane." Brynn stated leaning past Harry a bit. I nodded in agreement. I couldn't believe it. Harry had always tried to keep me away from his work. I understood it when we were together the first time. It could've been bad, well, worse than it was for us. But he'd been even more careful with my involvement in his work life. I knew that part of it was for Darcy's sake, so she and I could do normal things while he was on tour or when he decided to stay home for the day.
"What's on your mind?" Harry asked as we moved down the path a bit.
"I always wanted to know what this was like for you." I replied softly. He lifted his eyebrow. "It's interesting to see this part of you. Normally, I just see you, as you are. You know, father, son, brother, husband but this... I thought shows were crazy." I explained.
Harry smiled, "You see me the way I am. That's what I want. I don't want you to marry the business man. I want you to marry the smart ass kid you met in the art gallery."
"Am I allowed to kiss you in front of everyone?" I whispered shyly.
"You are five months pregnant with my son, you can do whatever you'd like to me." Harry smirked.
"You're a pig." I laughed, pressing my mouth to his sweetly.
Harry smiled, into the kiss, "You love it."
"Hey knock it off. You're showin' the rest of us up." Liam teased. Harry and I separated with bright red cheeks. "People's jaws are on the floor." Liam stated with an amused tone.
"I don't care. I brought her because I love her not for what people think." Harry grunted.
"We know that, Harry. You guys are just too cute for your own good." Louis laughed at us. Harry tugged me a little closer.
"Okay guys. Interview time." The coordinator informed us. Harry breathed deeply and led me off to the next part of the walk we had to take.

Harry finally set me down in a chair. I sighed heavily, enjoying the fact that I got to sit. Harry sat down beside me with a smile. He placed his hand on my face, soothing my nerves.
"How are you feeling, baby?" Harry inquired as everyone else sat down at the table with us. I shrugged. "Come on." Harry laughed.
"I'm tired. My feet hurt. My back hurts. I'm sweaty. And your son decided to start the somersaults while you were doing interviews." I complained quietly.
Harry kissed my forehead, "Well, you did great with that. It's a lot to handle at first and you just took it in stride."
"Yeah. It's kind of easy to do when I'm with you." I smirked. Harry shook his head and sat back in his seat. "Now, which people were you all upset about before we left the house?" I asked peeking around. Harry rolled his eyes and took my hand in his, not answering my question. "How about the blonde coming toward the table?" I asked softly. Harry's head snapped up and his eyes went wide. "That's what I thought." I grumbled. Harry stood to greet the girl that was coming closer to him.
"Harry! I just heard something so crazy outside about you." She gave him a loose hug and a flirty smile. "I heard that you were going to be a dad." She laughed. I stood and went to Harry's side. The girl's jaw dropped.
"Are you going to introduce me or what?" I asked Harry with terse smile.
"Yeah. Um, Nols, this is Taylor. Taylor, Enola, my wife." Harry introduced us politely.
"Wife?" She seemed confused.
He nodded, "Yep. Wife." I held my hand out to her to be polite.
She shook my hand nervously, "Its nice to meet you."
"You too." I replied, trying to keep the pleasantries going.
"We never thought that Harry would be one to settle down. He's always been such a career man." Taylor stated, but her tone was sour.
"It's really amazing how someone can grow over a long period of time. I mean, he's changed so much from the person he was when the boys started the band." I stated with a smile but my tone was slightly condescending. I glanced over to see that Louis, Sophia and Brynn were all covering their mouths casually, trying to hide their giggles. Liam and Niall had to turn their faces away completely. Harry gripped my hand tightly.
"Obviously." She nearly scoffed. "So, you're going to be a dad. That's great." Her tone said that she really didn't think so.
"He's already a dad." I stated kindly.
"Well, he's not really parenting yet." Taylor's smile was tight and fake.
Harry cleared his throat, "We have a four year old." Taylor's jaw dropped and as she opened her mouth to speak, Harry stopped her. "She's mine. The green eyes and crazy curls say so."
"I'm going to sit down now." I informed Harry, my hand on my stomach. "You really know how to pick them." I grumbled just loud enough for Taylor to hear. I waddled back to my chair then sat down with Niall's help. "Thanks Ni." I smiled at him.
"I'll see you guys later?" Taylor asked looking over at me with a smile. My lips turned up into a fake smile as I nodded. She glared at Harry for a moment then stomped off. Harry sat down beside me with a heavy sigh.
"She seemed nice." I smirked as I sipped off my water. Harry glared at me for a moment. I laughed, "What?"
"Stop it." He growled.
"Oh baby, come on. It's just really funny that she reacted that way. Plus, I'm right." I stated leaning against him. Harry lifted his eyebrow. "You've grown up and she hasn't. It's quite amusing actually." I giggled. Harry still muttered under his breath. "Bear, come on. It's not like I am going to enjoy these looks from all of the girls you've dated." I murmured, resting my chin on his shoulder. "I can tell that they don't know what you see in me. They can't wrap their heads around it." I elaborated. Harry placed his lips on my forehead again. "I promise I'll behave if they do." I stated after a moment.
Harry sighed, "You said that I know how to pick them, but I picked you."
"Um, I think the powers that be made that decision for us." I beamed at him. "There wasn't a choice involved with us."
"Exactly. So you be calm. I don't want you stressed out again." Harry whispered before kissing my lips sweetly.

"HARRY!" I heard someone yell from not too far away. Harry's head shot up and he tensed again. I tried to control my laughter as the girl approached us with confused eyes. "Hey I just heard something crazy." The dark haired girl stated as he stood up. He blocked the girl's view of me. "I just heard that you're a dad." Harry just nodded. "Yeah, right, pull the other one." She laughed. My brows furrowed and I tried to choke back some tears. Niall took my hand to soothe me.
"It's okay, E. They just don't know him like we do, like you do." Niall murmured to me. Tears started to fill my eyes when I felt that small tumble in my stomach. I got up from my seat to have Harry feel his son moving for the first time. Before I could open my mouth to tell him, the baby stopped moving. I then noticed the girl was standing with her jaw on the floor. "Hi." I smiled at her. "I'm Enola." I introduced myself with a smile.
"Kendall." She replied, holding her hand out to me. I shook her hand gently. "I didn't actually believe it." She chuckled a bit, her eyes still on my belly. "Wow. Nice, Harry." She seemed a bit smug.
"Yeah. He and our daughter are really excited." I beamed up at Harry while speaking to the girl.
"Daughter? You have a daughter too?" Kendall seemed flabbergasted.
Harry nodded with a smile, "Yes. She's four. Ugh. She'll actually be five soon." I groaned at the thought as well.
"That's great." Kendall had the same sour tone that Taylor did. Harry put his arm over my shoulder, tugging me into his side. I placed my hand on his chest gently, leaning into him the way I would when we were just standing around backstage. "So, you're getting married too?" The girl pointed my hand.
Harry grinned, "Yes. In just a few months." The girl looked even more upset with Harry and I. "We have to wait for tour to be done and a little bundle of joy." Harry's smile was still stretching from ear to ear.
"That's great." Her tone was rude now. "I have to go back to my sister now. I just wanted to see how you were doing." Kendall stated, giving me a sideways glance that told me she didn't appreciate my presence.
"We're great!" Harry replied with another huge smile. She nodded then leaned in to kiss Harry's cheek. He gracefully dodged the kiss and gave her a small hug. Kendall gave me a death stare before she walked away. I was taken back by the gesture. I looked up at Harry after the shock wore off. "Are you okay? Did you need something?" Harry asked with a genuinely caring tone.
"The baby felt like he was about to starting kicking but he didn't." I stated sadly. "I just wanted you to be able to feel it." I added softly.
Harry kissed me sweetly, "We're going to be stuck at this table for most of the night. I'm sure I'll feel him eventually." I nodded, still feeling a bit disappointed. Harry kissed my forehead, "I love you, Noli."
I smiled weakly, "I love you too, Bear." He then pulled me back to the table. We sat down and began talking with the other boys, Sophia and Brynn. I knew Harry could tell I was slightly upset by how close he sat to me and the way he held my hand.

Harry stood from the table once again. Niall, Liam and Louis did as well. They were speaking to an older gentleman that seemed to know them well. Harry shook the man's hand with the same smile, he'd given everyone he'd spoken to through out the night. I tapped my fingers against the table top anxiously. Harry had been so ready to introduce me to everyone he knew. He wore the biggest smile as he told every person, "This is my wife, Enola." He was so cute as he did so. The light in his eyes made my heart melt every time he said the words. Few and far between was there a genuine smile about what Harry had said. It was mostly men that shouted a genuine congratulations at Harry and I.
Harry turned around and motioned me over. Brynn quickly stood from her chair and helped me out of mine. The shoes I had chosen were not a good idea for my pregnant body. I thanked Brynn with a kiss on the cheek then glided to Harry's side gracefully. Harry wrapped his arm around my shoulders and I slid my arm around his back, leaning against him to support myself.
"Jon. My wife, Enola." Harry beamed. I blushed again. Everyone was noticing that I only wore an engagement ring but Harry called me his wife anyway.
"Hello there, Enola." He smiled, shaking my hand gently. I murmured a hello, as I was starting to feel even more tired. "Lovely to meet you."
"You as well." I smiled, trying to be polite.
Jon looked to Harry, "Settling down? Must be quite a woman." Harry just smiled, gazing into my eyes. "Every woman I've spoken to that knows you has just been up in arms about the start of your family." Jon informed Harry. I frowned a bit and held Harry tighter. Harry stroked my shoulders to try to calm me down. "Speaking of." Jon chuckled as another small brunette came rushing over to us. Jon said goodbye to the other boys then stalked off.
"Harry!" The girl squealed as she ran toward him. She wrapped her arms around his neck, basically knocking me aside. Harry quickly unwound the girls' arms from his neck and set her back a few steps. She pouted when he put his arm around me again. "I keep hearing the strangest things about you." The girl giggled. Harry just hummed, not amused by her. "Yeah. Like you're married and having a baby." The girl then set her eyes on me. "Oh wow! They weren't lying!" She giggled once again. "Although, I expected a different type of girl." She stated eyeing me up and down. "Hi! I'm Kalina!" She announced, her bright hazel eyes still looking amused by my presence. "Do you know what you're having?" She reached out and tried to place her hand on my stomach.
I quickly slapped her hand, "Don't touch me." Kalina appeared startled by the action. I looked up at Harry with tears in my eyes, "I'm done." Harry frowned but he also appeared confused. "I'm just..." I sighed heavily. "I am so done." I released him and walked back the way we came in.
"Noli!" Harry called out.
"E! E, wait up!" Brynn's voice was coming closer. She caught up to me and hooked her arm with mine. "You shouldn't be walking around alone in high heels while you're pregnant." Brynn informed me as we headed toward the bathroom.
"She's right." I heard Sophia coming up on my other side. She stroked my hair in a loving manner.

"Do you want to tell us what's wrong?" Sophia asked helping me sink onto a small bench in the bathroom. I burst into hysterical sobs. Brynn and Sophia sat down on the bench, both of them putting their arms around me. "Come on, E. Tell us." Sophia pleaded. It was obvious she didn't like seeing me cry.
"It's okay, E. You can tell us." Brynn pleaded. I struggled to breathe as I tried to tell them what was making me cry so hard.
"I'd really rather she tell me." Harry's voice echoed through the bathroom. Sophia looked up at Harry and glared. "Don't look at me like it's my fault. I don't even know what's going on." Harry spoke calmly. I nodded, telling Sophia and Brynn it was okay to leave my side. "Tell me when you're okay. I'll come back in and fix your make up." Sophia smiled at me, kissing my cheek lightly. Brynn kissed my temple before standing. They both shot Harry glares once again. Once the bathroom door closed, Harry locked it. "Noli, baby, what's going on?" Harry asked softly as he knelt in front of me. I wiped my face of tears and stayed silent. Harry tucked his hands under my thighs, "Baby, talk to me."
"I hate this." I cried. Harry frowned deeply. "Every person is just staring at me like that can't believe that I'm here with you. That you're marrying me and that this is undoubtedly your child, that the baby at home is yours. They're looking at me like I'm not worthy to stand at your side, to be the one that you love." I sobbed. "I know that I don't deserve you. I know I don't but you and I are together. We were meant to be together. And I know that too."
"Baby, you don't have to defend your being with me. I love you. That is the only thing that matters. I love you. I love our kids. There is nothing more too it. The powers that be said that you are the woman that I am supposed to be with. Everyone else can kiss pavement." Harry stated, pressing his forehead to mine. "I don't want the life I have with you, with anyone else. I'm never going to love anyone the way that I love you." Harry assured me. I pressed my lips to his passionately, tangling my hands in his hair. I whimpered against his lips. "Sssshhhh, baby." Harry pleaded.

Harry, Sophia, Brynn and I all returned to the table with smiles. We were talking about the baby again. Harry had his arm around me tightly, showing everyone that I was his. Harry helped me back into my chair then took his seat beside me. He kissed my head lightly.
"We have to go up soon." Liam informed Harry. Harry nodded with a smile.
"Go up?" I asked softly.
"Yeah. We're performing tonight." Niall stated. "You didn't tell her?" Niall inquired of Harry. Harry just smirked. "We're doing a fan picked song. They did a bunch of voting for which song we would sing tonight." Niall explained.
"Yeah, we're singing..." Liam began.
"Liam. No." Harry snapped, cutting him off. Liam lifted his eyebrow at Harry then chuckled when Harry motioned to me a bit. I looked up at Harry curiously. "I want it to be a surprise." Harry informed me with a grin. I just nodded, not sure of what to expect.
"We're going now!" Louis announced, standing up. Liam kissed Sophia's cheek then followed after Louis. Niall was right behind them.
Harry stood then held his hand out, "Here. Sit my seat." I carefully moved into the chair Harry had been occupying. "Good. Good." Harry smiled. "Wait." He scooted the chair over just a bit. "Perfect." He grinned. He placed a sweet kiss on my lips then ran after the boys.
"You'll love it, E. I promise." Sophia grinned.

I sighed and waited for it to be announced that the boys would be performing. I was getting anxious. Harry only told the boys to keep their mouths shut when he had a plan. I rested my hands on my stomach, trying to be patient. Finally, the announcement came through. I perked up instantly. I wanted to know why Harry had been so eager to keep the song from me. The curtain lifted and I saw Louis, Liam, Niall and Harry all perfectly lined up. I chuckled when I noticed that Harry had set me up so I would be able to see him head on. His eyes met mine and he grinned brightly. He gave me a small wave. I returned it with a giggle.
The music started and my heart dropped. I looked to Sophia and Brynn with tear filled eyes. They chuckled and made me focus on Harry.
"If I could fly, I'd be coming right back home to you." Harry's deep and smooth voice filled the theater. "I think I might give up everything just ask me to." Harry smirked when he saw my hands cover my mouth. I hated that proud, cheeky grin. The one that showed off his dimples and just how child-like he could be. I placed one hand on my stomach, feeling the baby moving around again. I bit my lip and struggled not to cry as the boys sang. Sophia and Brynn watched them with fascinated eyes, just like I did. I couldn't take my eyes off of Harry. I couldn't hold back my tears any longer when his voice completely filled the theater, "I'm missing half of me, when we're apart." I tried to clear my face before I messed my make up all over again hearing Harry's voice break slightly as he sang. "For your eyes only." The music faded out slowly. Liam, Louis and Niall all waved and mouthed thank you's while Harry just gave a single bow, his hands pressed together. I smiled at the gesture.
Once the boys left the stage, I glared at Sophia and Brynn. They giggled and reached over to take my hands in theirs. I dropped my head and focused on not crying for the longest time. I was shocked out of my meditation, by a hand on my shoulder. I opened my eyes and looked up to see Niall sitting beside me again. I looked behind me to see Harry walking toward us. I stood from the chair, trying to move back into my own seat. Harry stopped me with a gentle hand. I gazed up at him as he pulled me close. He pressed his abdomen to my large belly before cupping my face in his hands. I was stunned by the passionate kiss he placed on my lips. I melted into him, winding my arms around his neck. I whimpered, wanting more than his soft but fire filled kiss.
"I love you, Enola." Harry whispered against my lips.
"I love you, Harry." I replied. He smiled and tried to make me sit again. But I felt that familiar tumbling sensation again. I stopped Harry quickly and grabbed his wrist. I placed his hand on my stomach as little feet kicked from the inside. Harry stopped talking instantly. He looked at me with wide eyes.
"Was that...?" Harry asked, his voice cracking a little. I nodded, biting my lip, fighting back the tears at the sight of so much happiness in his eyes. Harry placed his other hand on my belly as well as the baby kicked and turned over again. Harry laughed and gazed at my stomach with awe.
"I think he heard you singing." I murmured to Harry. Harry nodded and furrowed his brows. "No. No. You're not allowed to cry. If you cry, I'm going to be a mess. It took way too long to do my make up for that." I giggled, trying to make his tears go away.
