Kidnapped in the Forest

"The truth is. . ." Louis began, "This is sorta embarrassing but, we wanted to see if you are possibly related to Niall." Evie raised her eyebrows.
"You wanted to see if I was related to Niall?" She asked. They all nodded.
"So you KIDNAPPED ME TO DO THAT?!" She yelled.
"Uh, yes?" Louis said it more like a question.
Evie ran off. She ran out the front door. "Grab her!" Someone yelled. Doug ran to Evie and they ran together. They ran as far as they could for a long time. They eventually came to a stop and Evie put Dougs collar and leash and tied the other end to her hand. "Doug, run home. As fast as you can." Doug ran a long ways, pulling Evie behind him. After a long way of running, they found the forest. They ran for hours to get there. Evie untied the leash, saying something she never thought she would have to say. "Doug, run as far away from here as you can. We'll find each other again soon." The dog didn't leave. "Doug, GO!" She demanded. They dog let out a whine and he left. Evie climbed up her favorite tree. It was hard, though, considering it was dark out. She climbed all the way up to the top. She heard five familiar voices.
"You two go to the house, me and Niall will search the forest, and Zayn, you stay here in case she comes back." Liam said. The branch Evie was on started to become weak. 'No. Not now!' Evie thought. She carefully climbed to a different branch and accidentally slipped. Evie screamed. "HELP!" She cried out. "LOUIS, LIAM, NIALL, HARRY, ZAYN! HELP!" she cried. "It's alright, Evie! I'm coming!" Zayn said. He stepped closer to her. "No! Zayn don't! It's going to take both of us!" Evie said. Zayn sat down on the branch where it wouldn't break and wrapped his leg around it. "Give me your hand!" Evie was to scared to move. The branch started breaking more and more. Evie shut her eyes tight. She felt arms wrap around her waist and pick her up. She didn't want to open her eyes. Zayn found an easy way down the tree and when they reached the ground, Zayn pinned her to the tree. "Evie Thomas! Exactly WHAT were you thinking?! You could've died!" He said very loudly. "I guess I wasn't. I'm sorry. I just wanted to go home." She said beginning to cry. Zayn pulled her into a tight hug. "Now, because of me, Doug's gone! I'll never see him again!" She said, gripping Zayn's shirt and crying even more. Zayn picked her up as she cried into his chest. They walked to the van and climbed in. The boys were about to speak but before they could, Zayn said. "Not one word." They drove to the house and Evie was still crying into Zayn's shirt. He placed her on his bed and held her until she stopped crying. "Evie, don't ever run away again." He said firm but yet soft. "What about Doug?" She asked. "We'll find him tomorrow." He said. "No. Not tomorrow. We need to find him now. He won't survive by himself." Evie explained. "I'll send the boys out to find him, alright?" "Now?" She asked. "Right now. I'll be right back." He said, leaving. Evie thought about everything. Why did she trust Zayn? He kidnapped her! He saved her life! He's a strange boy. He came in the room again. "Okay, they're looking for Doug. We'll stay here in case he comes back, okay?" "Okay. I can't sleep without him." She said. Zayn pulled her into a hug, rocking her back and forth singing What Makes You Beautiful. She eventually fell asleep. Zayn gently laid her down and put blankets over her. He went downstairs and waited for the boys to come home. He looked at the clock every now-and-then and saw that two and a half hours had passes. He saw Evie come down the stairs shortly after. "Ya okay, love?" He asked. "I had a bad dream." She said. "Do you wanna talk about it?" She shook her head 'no' and sat down next to him, falling asleep shortly afterwards. The van pulled up in front of the house. Zayn gently woke her up. They stepped outside. Liam walked up with Doug. Doug was limping and barely moving. "Doug?" Evie asked. The dog lifted his head up and ran to Evie. The two hugged each other and Evie saw his paw had a little bit of dried blood on it. The boys did gently wrap it up once they were inside, though. Zayn lead Doug and Evie upstairs and into a guest bedroom. Doug grabbed Evie's sleeve and dragged her over to the bed. Doug curled up in a ball and laid next to Evie. The two soon fell asleep. Zayn checked in in on them a few hours later, only to see Evie's earn around Doug, and Doug's head on Evie's chest. The rest of the boys just happened to be up and saw that sight. They took a lot of pictures if that, then hesitantly went back to bed. Zayn made sure all the doors and windows were locked. They were. He checked on Evie - and Doug - one last time. They both slept very peacefully that night.
