"I'm still super stuffed," I said as I plopped down on my bed. Isaac laid next to me and looked through my books. He held up The Notebook.
"Is this even good?" I crinkled my nose.
"It's okay," I said slowly.
"Megan," Nana called upstairs. "Phone for you."
I ran downstairs with Isaac close behind. I gave grandma the 'who is it' look. She shrugged. I took the phone and walked back upstairs. Isaac followed close enough to listen.
"Hello?"
"Is this Megan Pexa?" It was a man for sure.
"Yes," I said slowly. I hoped I wasn't in trouble or something.
"I am calling from Steven Spielberg's office. I am glad to inform you that we would like to meet with you." He said it like it was so amazing that I got to talk to him.
"About what?"
"About turning your accident into a movie," he said excitedly.
"Ummm... when would you like to meet?"
"Would tomorrow work?" I ran downstairs as I told him to wait so I could check. I asked Nana and she said we could.
"Yes that would work," I said professionally.
"Okay we will meet you, and anyone you would like to bring with you, at Mr. Spielberg's office at tweleve o'clock tomorrow," he explained.
"We will see you then," I said happily. He hung up and I set the phone down.
I turned to Isaac. He had a huge smile on his face so I'm pretty sure he heard it all. We just starred for a few seconds and then, as if planned, I jumped into the arms that he held out just in time. He spun me around and hugged me tight.
"We need to get ready," I said after he put me down.
"You have to tell your cousins, if you are bringing them," Isaac pointed out.
"Of course I'm bringing them," I said in a defensive voice. I ran back downstairs with Isaac close behind me. I told Nana and she told me she would tell everyone and send them up to pick out outfits and talk. I thanked her and Isaac pulled me back upstairs.
"What are you going to wear?" He asked as he walked over to my closet. He pulled out a dress but shook his head and put it back in.
"You sound like Brianna. I'm going to call her over," I said. I called her to invite her over. She squealed and said she'd be there in 60. She doesn't mean one hour. She means one minute. Sure enough, one minute later Brianna comes in and goes straight for a hug.
"Congrats," she yelled. She ran for my closet and pushed Isaac out of the way. She grabbed out a few dresses and threw them on the chair. She pulled out some skirts too and threw them on the chair.
"Are you thinking formal or semi-formal or casual...No casual. I think semi-formal because if you do too formal they will-" I zoned her out after that and just looked at the outfits she held out. They were really cute. It was going to be hard to decide what to wear.
Everyone else came upstairs. They ran for their closets to pick out outfits. Once they figured out what they were going to wear they helped Brianna. All the other girls knew about fashion and they had their own style but I didn't. My style would be swimsuits if I could because I love the ocean and beach so I wear them a lot. Everyone was letting me say yes or no so it was taking forever. Isaac had fallen asleep on the chair and I was about to too.
I finally stood up and walked to the closet. I, nicely, pushed past them. I grabbed a pink spaghetti strap tank top with a flowy black lace one. I held it up to show them.
"That's actually really cute," Abbi said. Mara shot her a look.
"She means it is cute," Mara clarified. She didn't need to. I didn't even think I could find a cute outfit. They usually pick it out for me.
"I'm guessing you're wearing jeans," Anna said. I nodded.
"I think a pencil skirt would look good with that," Brianna started. Everyone nodded vigorously. I sighed.
"If it will let me sleep then sure," I said, wanting nothing more than to sleep.
"How about pink wedges?" Taylor asked looking at the outfits. I shrugged.
"I guess. Are we done now?"
"Yeah but you need to start picking out your own outfits," Ellie said.
"Yeah, yeah," I sighed
"Before it gets too long for you to bear," Sydney said. The girls all went downstairs except for Brianna.
"And before Isaac falls asleep," Brianna said giggling.
I put the clothes down and ran over to the bed. I jumped on top of Isaac and he bolted upright. I fell off of him and onto the floor.
"Ow," I muttered. Isaac looked down at me with a grin.
"Serves you right for waking me up," he said, barely holding back a laugh.
