End Of The Day

We spend the rest of the day walking on the beach, or cuddling on the couch. Sometimes talking, sometimes in silence. As the day continues I can feel things returning to normal between us. We share a bed that night, only for lying in each others arm though.

The next evening is New Year's Eve. Louis and I shut off our phones, shutting out the world.
We share a special dinner, that we made together, out on the deck. After a long walk on the beach, Louis leads me into the livingroom. It’s breathtaking. Amongst the dozens of beautiful roses are dozens of candles.Together they create an amazing scent of roses and vanilla. There’s a fire in the fireplace. In front of it, several soft blankets and pillows.

“It’s perfect, Louis.”
“I love you, Lea.”
I smile. “I love you, Louis.”
He takes my hand, leading me to the fireplace. Sitting, we face each other.
“I have something for you.” Louis pulls out a small box.
“You don’t have to buy me things.”
Louis takes my hand. “I know I don’t have to, Lea. And I know that you would love me with or without these things. Sometimes though, I like to give you things. Alright?”
I smile. “Alright.”
I open the box, pulling out a rose gold, thin cuff bracelet. The words ‘I promise....’ inscribed on the front. Inside the bracelet there are some numbers inscribed. They don’t look familiar.
“Those are the coordinates of the studio. The location where we first met.”
My heart flutters. “Oh Louis.”
“That location is special, it’s where my life changed forever.” He smiles.
Tears roll down my face. “Thank you, Louis. I love it.”
Taking the bracelet, he puts it gently on my wrist, then kissing my hand. “I’ll never be able to tell you how much I love you, Lea.” He says as he wipes away my tears.
Suddenly I know what I want more than anything. Touching his thigh, I tell him. “Maybe
you could show me?”
Louis swallows hard, then his mouth is on mine. Long, passionate, hungry kisses. “I’ve missed you, Lea.”
Pulling his shirt over his head, running my hands down his chest to his jeans. “I’ve missed you too, Louis. I want you, now.”
He bites his lip, before literally tearing the rest of our clothes off.

In front of the fire, we reconnect. Our passion more intense than ever. Louis kisses every inch of me, before we join together. I’m crying out his name as I explode around him. Tears of happiness slipping out of my eyes, as I watch Louis come undone above me.
He pulls me into his arms, my head resting on his chest. I close my eyes, listening to the heartbeat I’ve come to know better than my own.
“Look at the time. 12:05. Happy New Year, Love.”
I look at my new bracelet on my wrist, then move to kiss his perfect lips. “Happy New Year, Louis.”
