End Of The Day

“What on earth happened?” Tracy asks, saving me from a response to Louis’ question.
I tell her the whole story, watching as Louis’ hands clench into fists. I take both his hands in mine, feeling him relax.
“I’m so sorry he did that, Lea.”
“Thanks, Tracy.”
She gives me a hug, then Louis. “Thank you both for lunch. I’m going to head out now.”

Louis doesn't say a word, he just takes my hand, leading me upstairs. Once in the bedroom he kisses me, gently at first, then biting my lip. He moves to my neck, undressing me as his kisses move further down. We move to the bed. As Louis moves above me, he looks in my eyes. “I...I love you too, Lea.”
My breath catches. “Oh Louis, I love you so much.”
After, as we lay looking into each other’s eyes, I tell Louis. “I wanted to tell you I loved you, I was just afraid it was too soon.”
Louis laughs. “I thought the same thing. That’s why I hadn’t told you.”
I hear my phone buzzing again from the pocket of my jeans. “I’ll get it.” Louis says.
He looks at the phone. “Ten messages from Tom.”
“Ugh.”
Louis starts typing. Uh oh. Tom’s in for it now. “What did you say?”
Louis grins. “I just told him he needs to bugger off.”
The phone goes off again.
“He says, does Lea know you have her phone?” Louis starts typing. “Yes mate, she’s laying right here beside me in bed.”
I shake my head. “The wink face emoji was a nice touch, Sweetheart.”
“Oh shit!”
“What’s wrong, Louis?”
“I forgot to put the eggplant emoji.”
I laugh out loud. “And that, Louis Tomlinson, is why I love you.”
