End Of The Day

Louis moves his hands to my wet hair, his fingers raking through it as his lips return to mine. The warm water flowing over us as the taste of his tongue causes all my defenses to fade away.
Louis’ phone rings loudly, causing us both to pause. “I guess I should get out and change.” Louis says quietly.
Part of me wants to tell him to stay. The other part of me is reminding myself to be patient. “Thank you, Louis.”
He grins. Leaning in for one more kiss. “No problem. I’ll rescue you anytime, Love.”
He leaves the room, returning seconds later with a dry towel for me.
Back in the bedroom I sit on my bed, taking a moment for my pulse to slow. Once I’m dressed I head downstairs. I see Louis standing in the kitchen, watching intently as I descend the stairs.
He meets me halfway across the room. “You alright?”
I smile. “Yes, I’m fine.”
He takes my hand, leading me towards the kitchen. “So, can I tease you now about the whole spider thing?”
I laugh. “Yes, you totally can. I know it’s weird, I just hate them.”
Handing me a plate for my pizza, he winks and says. “It wasn’t all bad, was it now?”
I blush thinking about us in the shower.

Once we have our pizza, we sit beside each other on the couch. Louis turns on the tv, finding a funny movie for us to watch. We eat our pizza and laugh. I can’t remember a time I’ve been happier, relaxing into Louis as he puts his arm around me.
When the movie is over, I check my phone. There’s a message from Tracy, reminding me about the interview I’m doing Monday. Then a text from Tom.
“So what’s good old Tom up to?” Louis asks me sarcastically.
I grin. “Apparently he’s doing some runway shows along with photo shoots. He sent some pictures.”
“Oh, he did now, did he?”
I hand my phone to Louis. His brow furrows as he looks at the pictures. “Quite tall, isn’t he?”
I think about it. “I guess so.”
“Well, he definitely looks like a model.”
I’m a little surprised by Louis’ obvious jealousy. Taking the phone back I tell him. “He’s got nothing on you, Sweetheart.”
He laughs. “Right.”
I run my hand through his hair, then moving it to the side of his face. “Do you really not know how incredibly handsome you are?”
He looks down, then into my eyes. “You really think I’m more handsome than him?” Gesturing to my phone.
I smile. “Yes, one hundred percent.”
Louis looks at me sweetly, so intensely. “What did I ever do to deserve you, Darling?”
I grin. “You’re just lucky I guess.”
He laughs, then his look turns more serious. “Lea, I need you to know that I’m crazy about you.”
“I’m crazy about you too, Louis.”
Louis smiles. “I’d like for us to be exclusive; if you’ll have me?”
My heart does that flutter again. “I want that too, Louis.. very much.”
He moves to kiss me, just as his phone goes off. “Oh bloody hell.”
He looks at the screen. “Sorry Love, I have to take this.”

While he’s on the phone, I head upstairs to my room. I start to pull out my research for the interview I have to do Monday. Instead I find myself in front of the large window, looking out at the moon working it’s magic on the waves below it.
“Lea?”
I turn to find Louis standing in my doorway. I notice as he walks towards me that he looks upset.
“What’s wrong?”
Louis sighs. “We have a new appearance added. I have to leave Monday morning.”
I feel my heart drop. “How long will you be gone?”
“A couple of days.”
