“I really don’t think we should be doing this Leanie. What if dad finds out? Oh heavens, we really should NOT be doing…” she paused as the girl nicknamed Leanie snapped her fingers in front of her so that she could convince her why they actually should.
“Cher, aren’t you fucking tired of people mistaking us for one other? Aren’t you tired of the teacher in the only class at school that we have together handing us the others paper? Aren’t you tired of our separate friends thinking we’re the other sister? AREN’T YOU TIRED OF IT ALL?! We are doing this so that everyone can finally tell us apart.” Leanie stated to her identical twin sister as they both sat and waited for their turns in the tattoo shop, each holding a piece of paper of what they wanted.
Shortly after their “conversation”, they were both called up by two of the tattoo artists who were free. Cher followed a guy that had two full sleeves and had dyed black and red hair with about two piercings in each ear. To say that she was skeptical was an understatement. Leanie followed a guy that had natural black hair that was placed in a Mohawk with one full sleeve and dressed in the basic Greaser boy attire-white shirt, dark blue jeans, and a black leather jacket.
They both handed their ideas for the tattoo that they each wanted. The artist both nodded their heads telling the girls that the idea was doable. They gave them the warnings and a quick consultation about everything all the while setting up their new sterilized needles. While this was going on, Cher looked over to where her twin sister was with a worried expression, Leanie saw this and gave her sister a thumps up sign to indicate that everything would be alright.
As the needles finally touched skin and the girls relaxed-or tried to-and let the professionals do their thing a few miles outside of their quaint little town; elsewhere in London, things were not going so smoothly between one of the pop stars to One Direction by the name of Louis Tomlinson and his girlfriend Eleanor Calder whom the public and fans thought were two “destined to be together forever” lovebirds. Eleanor had tried, really she did. But the fact that she was dating one of the four cutest guys in the boy band realm for tweens had finally gotten to her. She kissed Lou one last time on the forehead, grabbed her bags, and walked out the door and Louis’s life forever.
Meanwhile back in America, the girls tattoos were finally finished as the artists smothered Vaseline on the area of the tattoo and told the girls to go take a look in one of the many mirrors around the shop. Cher had decided on getting a heart that was bleeding music notes constantly to symbolize her love for music and that she plans on taking it farther in her life in hopes of being a Christian music artist one day. Leanie had decided on getting a dragon-and-tiger in the ying-yang placement to symbolize that although people see differences in someone, there is always that one person who is a complete opposite but will take their side on occasion.
If only each of them knew then what they know now, none of this would have taken place, but then there would be no story to tell now would there? This is the story of two identical sisters-one the good and one the bad- and one handsome boy band member.
