Penny’s feet were swollen when she’d finally gotten home, a hunkered out toddler laying over her shoulder as she walked inside the house. The trio had gone to lunch and then proceeded to go to an aquarium and ended up going to see a movie. She was tired to say the least.
Niall had gone back to the hotel alone, they decided it would be best for Pippa if they waited a while before he started sleeping over. She placed the angelic babe in her bed and gave her a kiss on the forehead before turning and walking out of the room, leaving the door slightly ajar before she walked into her bedroom.
“How was your day?” Harry asked as he sat on the bed, looking up at her with a cheeky grin. She almost jumped out of her skin. Her hand was clutching her blouse as she walked over to slap him across the chest.
“Harry Edward Styles, you scared the shit out of me!” She whisper yelled. Her heart was racing; she really wasn’t expecting him there. She didn’t see his car out front, he must have parked in the garage.
“Sorry, I just didn’t expect you to be out so late and I was already here, I dozed off.” He said wiping the sleep from his eyes.
“It’s only nine thirty, it’s hardly late.” She said as she walked over into her large spacious closet, taking her shoes off and then her jewelry. He stepped in the door way, leaning against the frame with his hands in his pocket.
“Are you happy?” He said abruptly, looking her over.
“Ecstatic.” She said with a scoff.
“Seriously Penny, this is what you want?”

“This? No, I don’t want you to be in my bed when I get home. You being far away from me, yes.” She said as she pulled her sweater over her head and threw it into the hamper, grabbing a t-shirt from the chest of drawers that was in the corner. She was so used to undressing in front of Harry, she didn’t even think about it.
“You want to be with Niall?” He said as he neared her now, his eyes looking at her like a wolf.
“Harry, if you don’t get out of this closet, I will slap you so hard.” She said, standing her ground as she turned to face him.
“Maybe I’ll like it…” He said with a smirk.
“You’re a pig.” She said as she pulled the shirt over her head.
“You consistently cheated on me, left me when I needed you the most, after I was KIDNAPPED and RAPED repeatedly, but since I cheated on you – you hit the dust. Now I find out you’ve been cheating on me? With a multitude of girls and you want to ask me if I’m sure this is what I want?” She said, anger brimming. She’d never yelled at him for leaving her, she’d never even admitted that she held a grudge for it. Here it was though, all out in the open now.
He took a breath, he looked stoic. She couldn’t read him and that scared her.
“I didn’t…” He started, but then just turned and walked out of the closet. Penny scoffed and shook her head before she walked out after him, reaching him as he was going for the front door. She grabbed his shoulder and spun him around.
“You don’t get to walk out, now you really want to know how I feel? I’m ready to finally tell you! I beat myself up for SO long after you left me, because I blamed myself for everything. For being in love with Niall, for being tortured by Silas, for making you leave. I know now that you were always looking for an escape, I WISH Niall was the one that called me that day, I wish I would not have turned him away – I should have been with him all along Harry, you’re nothing to me.” She spat, her cheeks red with rage.
“I’m the father of your child!” He yelled, getting closer to her. “I left because I couldn’t bear the thought of you with someone else and I didn’t know what to do for you after everything happened with Silas! I was always gone, that would not have helped. I had to come to terms with everything Penelope! You fucked my best friend for years behind my back, if Pip didn’t have my eyes I would probably question if she was mine!”
“Oh, that’s rich. How many other kids do you have out there Harry?? How many GROUPIES have you knocked up?” She crossed her arms over her chest and began to turn, ready to walk away. She’d opened a can of worms that she wasn’t ready for.
Harry reached out and grabbed her this time, spinning her around by her elbow.
“No, let’s get it all out then? C’mon, I fucked Taylor every time she came to tour. I fucked countless models too. You were always just for comfort Penny I only stayed because of Pippa, but if you think I’m going to let you have her you’re crazy.”
Penny inhaled, feeling as though everything was zooming past her and she was in a small cube surrounded by nothing, but blurry figures. He’d lied to her from the very start.
“Fuck you Harry…” She finally muttered, her bottom lip quivering as she stood there still. Staring at him with hurt in her eyes.
“Yeah, fuck me. It’s always my fault.” He said as he shook his head and threw his arms up, “You’re never the problem.” He said as he turned and grabbed his keys.
“Maybe we should discuss this with lawyers present.” He said as he looked at her, she thought maybe she saw a glint of remorse, but he left before she could be sure.
She shook her head, holding in a scream that was bubbling in her throat.
“Mummy….”
She heard Pippa squeak from the top of the stairs, she was instantly panicked – how much did the girl hear?
“Is daddy going away again?” She asked as Penny quickly took the stairs and cradled the girl in her arms.
“No baby, it’s all going to be okay. Daddy isn’t going anywhere.” She said as she began back towards her daughter’s bedroom.
She felt incredibly irresponsible.
She could not lose her daughter.
