I am sitting next to the most beautiful face I have ever laid eyes on - my daughter- Eliza, the nurses have just finished putting her in the incubator poor thing can't breathe on her own just yet. "you can hold her hand you know". The nurse tells me, I bring my chair closer and place my hand in and touch her tiny petite hand. She is so tiny but she is a fighter like her mum.
"hey princess, your going to be ok I promise you. You have the most amazing mum in the whole world her strength and courage will be enough to carry the both of you." I say to my daughter. I still cannot believe it she has blue eyes and soft brown hair and her mothers smile. I pick up my guitar "This song is for you baby girl, it's one of my favourites from your mother"

I begin and sing softly.

I get up and go and check on her and there is no progress still she is laying there hooked up to all these machines her family by her side I kind of feel out of place a bit, but then they all clear out. I sit beside her and take her hand.
"Hi love she is absolutely beautiful Eliza. I know we have had our issues I guess" I chuckle to myself. "Truth is you need to wake up Eliza needs you, your family needs you and I need you. I know were not you know but how can I love without you, I mean your my best friend" Shit now I'm crying. "I'll admit I haven't made things easy for you and for that I am so sorry, Loving you has changed me so much you have always stood by me, you made me laugh and dance and let me just be me. I understand you needed time to heal and live your live without me and I understand if I have to keep waiting. And I will wait. I will wait and if your ever ready for me again. I will be ready for you." I kiss her hand. Then I pick up my guitar and sing a song I have been working on like forever well after she left.
