I woke up by the light of day then looked to my right where an algebra book sat with papers scattered within it. I sighed knowing that I did not do my homework at all last night and that teacher would be dissapointed. I quickly went and grabbed a pencil then did the 5 problems. After thirty mintes of my life were wasted I herd my father talking downstairs. I smiled an ran to the balcony overlooking the den from the second story of our house. I waved down to my dad and he looked up giving me a smile and wave.
"Hey baby," he spoke and I cheerfully ran down to greet him. I stuck my hand out for him to shake and he shook my hand. To most people the idea of shakin your dad's hand was increadibly formal but I didnt really know this. My father hugged my mother and she hugged me but shaking hands is what people do to the opposite gender, if they wernt married of course. I was very sheltered in my life but I knew that. I red books that showed friends of the opposite gender hugging all the time and it was not any big deal but I didnt realize that until I was 9 and began reading such books. Some may say I have the heart of an old woman who has devoured herself in a good romance novel every day after her husband's passing but I just find it to be normal to love books so much.

I smiled at my father while he spoke to me, asking about my day and if teacher had come yet. I told him that she hadnt yet but soon would arrive. She had to come at 12 today because of family issues, appearently. I just think her boyfriend Frank broke up with her again. I spoke to my father filling him in on everything then herd a knock on our front door. I went and looked out the glass door window smiling greatly to see my best friend Caitlin. I jumped up in down at the sight of a new person at my front door with her.

Caitlin hugged me tight then turned to Taylor. I actually knew Taylor before I ever met Caitlin. She came over to do a performance for my family, or for me I should say, on my 16th birthday! She brought Caitlin along and I immediately laughed at the torturous time Cait had to go through with the guards and dad and stuff. It's tough to come into my house as a new body.

I hugged Taylor tight and invited them each in to greet my dad. He waved to both the girls then I lead them up to my room. I looked through my dresser and found some shorts and and a t-shirt. Caitlin raised her eyebrow to my doings and I laughed.

"Dont worry, we're just goin past the garden to play volleyball. It'll be fun!"
"Okay, but it's never fair to play against you especially with Taylor on your team too."
I laughed, "Then you can have her."
"Just throw me away to her why dont you?" Taylor chuckled.
"Oh hush, let's go. Do you need something to wear?"
"That would be nice." Caitlin said and I rolled my eyes. "Miss sassy today, arent we?" I asked laughing.
Caitlin laughed then said, "just a little."

They each changed then I led them out my backdoor past the flowers and such while hearing a voice. I looked around then looked to the girls who had passed me and got to the sand covered court. I looked to my right and went over to a hole in the large fense.

"Harry, what are you doing? My father is home." I whispered to him with a shouting tone.
He chuckled, "You're cute when you're concerned."
I blushed but held my look of seriousness as best I could.
"Thank you but seriously, you have to go before my dad sees your car."
"He left before I parked. I'm fine."
"Harry, you have to go before my friends come over here."
He rolled his eyes whilst smilling still. "Alright. I'll see you later then."
"Fine, oh and Harry?" I asked and he raised an eyebrow.
"If you ever come again can you get me one of those... bar-b-q sandwiches? I've always wanted to try one."
He laughed, "I'll try to find one but it seems that you read stories by American authors, hugh."
"Yeah so?"
He lauged once more, "I'll get you one."
"Thanks! You're the best!"
"Bye, love."
He winked and looked both ways before running off.

I jogged over to my friends who obviously noticed my five minute absense. Taylor held the volleyball then threw it to me before bombarding me with qustions.

"Where did you go?" She asked.
"Does it matter? Lets just play?"
"Scarlet, come on."
"No you come on, I want to play some volleyball! Caitlin, you ready?"
"Yeah! serve!" She yelled back.
I raised my eyebrow to Taylor and she laughed.
"Whatever, let me get to my side."

We played for about an hour before going in exsausted. I plopped down on the couch then looked at the clock. My eyes about poped out of my head. It was ten 'till 12 o' clock!

"Crap! Teacher will be here any minute!"
"Oh, we better go then." Cait said.
"Yeah, I had a blast guys!" I said before huggin them both. "Do you want to grab your things or I can send Marvin out to bring it to you?"
"How old is Marvin?" Caitlin asked and I laughed with Taylor.
"twenty four, you interested?"
"I am!" Tylor shot up. "I call dibbs Cait!"
Caitlin murmered to herself aggrivated thoughts then looked over to me and laughed. I laughed with her and Taylor just stood with hands on either of her hips.
"Alright Swift, leggo." Caitlin said taking Taylor's arm to drag her out.
"I'll send Marv, bye!"

And with that, they were gone. The door shut and my house empty with no one around but the outside guards and my house keeper. I ran to my room and grabbed my books and a pencil then ran back down to sit and act as if I were studying. I honestly didnt need to because I already read most of the books. I had nothing better to do over winter because it was too cold out to walk in the backyard.

I herd the doorbell go off and the butler opened it, I hadnt even known he was working today. I smiled shouting out my butler's name.
"Gregory!" I shouted and ran to him sticking my hand out to shake his happily. He laughed and shook mine then we both bowed. Gregory and I had a neat friendship that made me always laugh.

"Lets get to work then Scarlet, I cant stay long today."
"Alright, teacher. Here are my math problems then I finished my book and memorized my memory verse."
She nodded her head checking the math work. She tapped her pen at on problem then turned the paper to me.
"Is that right?" She asked and I looked at it examinng my process.
"I thought so, what's wrong."
"The decimal place is right tight there an there?"
'"Ugghhh, sorry! I'll fix it."
"No, as long as you know what you did wrong."
I nodded my head an watched while she looked over other work I had done, including worksheets and paragraphs on the book I recently red.
"Very good now, Luke 12:28?"
"From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and for the one who has been intrusted with... with much, much more will be asked." I smiled and she nodded her head with a smile as well saying "very good." She haned me three worksheets. One on History, one on english, then on on math which I dreaded the sight of. She handed me a list of books to read and I looked over it thinking about what we had in the library.
"If there is one you want to read but dont have call me and I'll go to a book store for you before coming back Wednesday."
"Okay. Sounds good teacher, i'll see you then!" I opened my arms to hug her and she hugged back.
"Goodnye scarlet, have a nice day."
She walked to the door and the door was opened by Gregory.
"GREGORY!" I shouted happily.
"Yes?" He asked proping his head on his hands, his elbows sat on the head on the couch and I could ony laugh at the man.
"You're very odd Gregory, but that's why I like you more than teacher."
He laughed then asked if I wanted a strawberry milkshake.
"Oh yes please!" I answered.
"Good because I got fresh strawberries from the market this morning and they seem delicious!"
"I bet they are, yummm" I said licking my lips at the fresh new strawberries.

Gregory and I sat watching desperate housewives with milkshakes in our hands. I laughed at him as he made fun of each lady then the show ened and I only had an hour left of television time in the day so I turned the telley off.

"Pretty little liars later?" I asked and he smiled nodding his head yes. I chuckled then sat at the counter while Gregory did dishes. I sat wonering more about Harry and pulled out my cell phone. I turned it on seeing 2 messages. I smiled and opend them, both a ''hi'' from Harry. I blushed texting him back and Gregory looked over with a raised eyebrow.

"Ooo who is making Miss Scarlet blush?" He asked and I chuckled.
"A boy I met the other day with grandad." I anwered the best way I could. I trusted Gregory though.
"What's his name?"
"It's Harry," I smiled and Gregory chuckled.
"You can't even say the boy's name without smiling. You like him don't you?" His voice raised asking me this and I laughed.
"A little bit, why?"
"Aww, thank the lord you met someone from outside finally. Your father has you so trapped her it worries me for your well being."
I sighed sayin, "he just... cares is all." I spoke about my father.
"Cares a lot, you have a great dad Scarlet. Never forget that."
"I know..." I nodded my head then my phone moved in my hands.

I smiled again and texted him more. The day went by and it was soon 10 at night and I hadnt showered yet. I gave a 'yuck' face then grabbed some clothes and went to my bathroom to bathe. I turned the knob to run my water while turning on my iPod to listen to the music my father had bought me. The songs contained many by Taylor then a few new ones appeared. I smiled to the beat of a song.

I tapped my foot to the beat while I rinsed the shampoo from my hair then went under water unable to hear it anymore as I rinsed off my face of facial soap. I came up and wiped my eyes then opened them to see another pair of eyes looking at me.
