Samantha's POV:

"L-Louis?" I stuttered, shocked.

He gripped my shoulders hard but I couldn't really feel them. I was too numb.

"Samantha." He said my name and hugged me. His emotions were so strong that I could sense them, but I couldn't make out what they were.

"No. Get away from me." I shoved him away from me but he only grabbed me again. "Please, Samantha. Please listen to me."

I choked back tears as he led me to Harry's Range Rover. We sat down and I breathed in his cologne. I missed him, but I didn't want to.

"Look, Samantha. I only cheated on you because I just wanted a good shag--"

"You couldn't wait for me!" I burst out, tired of holding back all my feelings. "If we were meant to be together, that wouldn't have happened. But that did happen, so we're obviously not meant for each other."

Louis took a deep, shaky breath. "Sammie--"

"Don't call me that!" Now the tears I struggled to hold back were running down my cheeks, dripping down onto my open hands.

He tried again. "Samantha, she meant nothing to me. I think-I think I lo--"

"No, you don't! If you did, you wouldn't have cheated. Even if you do, I'd want a man who would be committed. And you aren't."

With that, I got out of the car. Louis grabbed my hand tightly. "Don't. I can't lose you again."

"You didn't lose me. You let go of me." I yanked my wrist out of his grip and walked away. I was supposed to feel good, because this time I wasn't let go of. But I didn't, and I knew why. I was still in love with Louis, even though I shouldn't have been.
