Samantha's POV:

After breakfast, Louis seemed a bit strange. His hands were in his pockets, and he kept shifting around on the couch, making jerky movements. I was getting tired of it, so I asked, "What's wrong, Louis?"

Louis cleared his throat and with attempted bravery (notice the keyword: attempted), he said loudly, "Will you, Samantha Greyfield, go on a date with me?"

I laughed out loud, since it was so hard for Louis to get it out. Louis must have taken it out the wrong way, because he stared dejectedly down at his shoes. "What? No, Louis, I'd love to go on a date with you," I assured him, "It's just that it was pretty hard for you to get it out..."

Those were the wrong words. Now I knew why asking it was so difficult. We were technically not a couple, and we hadn't gone on a date for a long time. There was an awkward silence and then Louis cleared his throat again, offering his hand. Giggling at his gentlemanlyness, I accepted it, saying, "Well, Louis Tomlinson being a gentleman! That will make the front covers of the magazine."

Louis, playing along, chuckled, "Why, Samantha! I am always like this!"

Exiting his flat, I was suddenly blinded by the flashes from the paprazzi. Questions flew all over the place.

"Are you two back together again?"

"Samantha, did you forgive Louis for cheating?"

"Louis, what did you do to win her back?"

"Do you love each other?"

The last question threw me off, and I was standing still all of a sudden, staring dazedly out at space. As the camera flashes continued, Louis pulled me to a nearby cab and shoved me in.

I didn't want Louis to mention my accident there, and he didn't, which I was grateful for. But he did say, "Yes, I still love you. And I hope you love me back the same way I love you."

I sat back, laying my head on his shoulder. His arms were wrapped around my waist, his blue eyes staring back at mine. I put a hand on his cheek, and I leaned in.

We hadn't had a real kiss in such a long time. When both of us love each other with all our heart. This kiss was passionate and long, full of desperation but his lips were gentle against mine. This kiss showed our feelings to each other, our strong love. But especially, it showed the full emotions when we were seperate: longing, sadness, remorse, and heartache. It was such a bittersweet kiss, tender and soft. I had ached for this kiss for awhile. And now I had it.

Our kiss was cut short when the cab jolted to a stop. We paid the driver and went out. I suddenly felt Louis's hands over my eyes, so I couldn't see where we were. "It's a surprise," whispered Louis's voice, musical and sweet.

We sat down, and Louis took his hands off of my eyes. I checked my surroundings with a smile. There was a red checkered picnic cloth spread across the grass. Our area was secluded behind some bushes, and a tree hung over us, providing shade. I wondered who prepared this for us, and then I noticed Harry, Niall, Liam, and Zayn.

"And now we will leave before you two start snogging," declared Harry, bowing. I blushed and as they slipped away, Louis leaned toward me and said, "Since they left before we started snogging, do you want to do it now?" He raised an eyebrow playfully and I swatted his arm, and then we kissed.

Louis was the one that slipped his tongue in my mouth, and the kiss became more heated by the second when his phone buzzed. We pulled away, Louis muttering, "Shit. I thought I turned it off." He turned to me, apologetic. "Sorry, babe. Simon is holding a surprise meeting."

"Hey, no problem," I smiled ruefully, folding the picnic cloth. As he left, I started thinking if whether dating a very busy superstar would be a good idea.

I went to the grocery store and bought some carrots, since I knew Louis loved them. A nice surprise, I thought. And then I entered the apartment...
