Today was tuesday and I had just picked Caleb up from school.
"Mummy where we go next" he asked.
"Well we're going to meet up with an old friend of mine" I answered
"Boy or girl" he asked.
"Boy" I said.
"Ohhhh mummy got cooties!" he said pointing and laughing.
I smiled. "You'll like him" I told Caleb
After he finally died down of laughter he played with his action figures.
I finally pulled up to the place I was supposed to meet Harry. I spotted him sitting on a bench waiting. We got out and walked over to him.
"Oh hey! You must be Caleb" he said.
"Yes I Caleb you be mummy old boyfriend" Caleb blurted.
"Um..." said Harry.
"So what are we doing today" I asked changing subject.
"Well I was thinking go to the arcade and let Caleb here play some games" said Harry.
Caleb cheered.
"Take that as a yes..." chuckled Harry.
We walked inside and Caleb ran to a ride so Harry paid and helped him on. The ride was like 10 minutes so Harry took that opportunity as a chance to talk to me.
"He looks like me" he said worried.
"I know" I said.
"AJ is he mine" he asked running a hand through his head.
"Thats none of your buisness" I said.
"AJ how the hell is asking if a child is mine not my buisness!" he snapped while whisper-shouting so others coul'dnt hear.
"Yes" I said in something below a whisper.
"What" asked Harry.
"I said yes!" I said.
"Why didn't you tell me" he said.
"Well I figured if you didn't wanna have anything to do with me you wouldn't want anything to do with him" I snapped.
"I wanted to have something to do with you! And I would have been here for him and you!" he yelled.
"How could I tell you if u didn;t answer my calls, voicemails, messages, or even letters" I said irritated.
"That is NOT the point" he said trying to get over the fact I had proved him wrong.
"Then what is Hare" I said.
"I want to play ,y role as a father. I want to be in his life" he said.
"We don't need you" he said.
"Has he asked about his dad" he asked ignoring me.
"Yeah" I muttered.
"So are you gonna tell him i'm his dad" he asked.
"He hardly knows you" I said.
"So tell him anyways" he said as Caleb ran over to us.
"Caleb do you wanna meet your dad" I asked.
"Yes mummy where where daddy!?" he asked.
"Right here" I said motioning to Harry.
"Do you like spongebob" Caleb asked him.
"Yes" he answered.
"Hahahaha" Caleb laughed. "He not me daddy mummy."
"What just happened" he whispered to me.
"If you like Spongebo you can;t be his dad" I stated.
"Whaaaaatttttt" he said.
"Us go play that!" he said.
"You can't come you no family" Caleb said to Harry.
"You can come" I mouthed to Harry.
Harry looked shocked and confused but followed us.
We played several games before Caleb fell asleep in a race car game.
"He can't fall asleep behind the wheel" checkled Harry.
"Thanks for today" I said.
"Thanks for letting me meet my son" he said.
We locked eyes for a moment. It was nice beeing with Haz again since he knew about Caled. He actually took it better than I though he would.
