"Come on time to go home tell your friends bye" I said. "Bye! Bye Ms. Tamber" said my son Caleb. "Bye Caleb" said his teacher. We went outside and I help him get buckled up in his carseat.
"How was school buddy" I asked hopping in my car.
"Good mum Ms. Tamber say I play with Roscoe at recess" he said
Roscoe was the class pet.\ and Caleb was in love with that thing. Oh and Roscoe was a mouse.
"Did she! Did you take good care of Roscoe" I asked.
"Me and Rosoce play Zoom" he said.
I chuckled at his broken 3 year old english.
"Ready to go to nana's house" I asked.
"Yayy!! Nana! Take me to Nana!" he said.
"Ok ok" I laughed
He smiled satisfied. He's a handsome little handful. He's a little spoiled at times because I just let him have his way. But when I say no he knows I mean no. So he's not to much for me to handle. I pulled up in my mum's driveway and helped Cale out the car as he ran the door and knocked frantically.
"Nana I here! It me!" he said.
My mum opened the door and smiled picking up Caleb.
"Hey Caleb what are you doing here" she joked.
"I 'posed to come to Nana house" he said.
"Well let's go! And Amy is here this weekend to so I know you to will have fun" said my mum.
Amy was Calebs cousin. She was my neice. My brother was her dad. She was older than Caleb, she was 5. But they got along pretty good anyways.
"Bye mum I've gotta go" I said.
"Bye sweetie" she smiled.
I rushed out after giving her Calebs bag. I had to get to the diner where I worked or else i'd be late. My mum watches Caleb for me every other weekend. He adores her. I got to my diner in record time and ran in the back so I could change into uniform. "Hey AJ" said my friend Mandy who also works at the diner.
"Hey Man" I said using the nickname she hated.
"Watch it" she playfully glared.
I laughed as I went to my locker and changed quickly. I went out and got my pen and paper and clocked in to start taking orders.
"Hi how may I help you today" I asked the lady in line.
"Hi may I have the number 6 sceacial with a coke" she said.
"Certainly if you will just give me a second to get it" I said.
She nodded.
I walked to the back.
"Speacial number 6 with coke!" I yelled to the cookers.
"Here" said James handing me a bag.
I took it and went back to the front.
"Here you are that will be 5.19" I said.
"Thank you" she said giving me exact change and walking away.
"How may I help you today" asked the next guy in line.
"Number....2 please" he said.
Hey! I recognize that accent. I looked up and saw...oh shit!
