All Because of a Rose

It was the last class before lunch, and it was also when I found out I was going to be sitting next to him.
I soon found out he just moved here from another little town next to here, but obviously that’s not what kept me from getting goose bumps.
It was the way he kept on staring at people that made me shiver, at the sight his dark eyes roamed each person as to figure each individual by a look.
“Class, please get into your partners from last week.” My Bio teacher said as he broke everyone’s conversations.
I looked around trying to remember who my partner was when my teacher came up to me, “Rose, I have it marked that you were not here on the day we had partners, and that so works out perfectly since we have Liam.”
I looked around confused of who Liam was when my teacher noticed my confused looked and pointed to Liam, who had quietly made his way towards us.
“Rose, this is Liam, and Liam this is Rose.” My teacher said as Liam stared at me for a quick second then looked back down as to not think I saw him earlier stare at Lucas and I.
“Rose, I expect you to make Liam feel like one of us, since he is new.” My teacher said as I dreadfully thought this day could not get any worse.
Great, now I have a dead sister, a worried friend, and now a creepy mystery partner.
“Here’s your papers and its due for you two by tomorrow.” He said as he walked away leaving me with two blanked pages of chemistry in my hand and a creepy Liam.
Liam started walking away towards his desk, leaving me to follow him and sit next to with no choice.
“Here’s your page.” I said as he took it from me not looking.
I looked at the questions and started answering them till Liam broke the silence.
“I thought we were partners.” He said amused leaning back as he crossed his arms.
"Ohh look who's bipolar." I wanted to say.
“I’m sorry that you misunderstood, but I tend to do better by myself.” I said instead as I tried to finish up the problem I was on.
He stared at me then looked down at my page giving a smirk.
“What’s so funny?” I asked getting annoyed.
“It’s you. You think you can do better without a partner, but then you get the very first question wrong.” He said simply.
I looked at my question and could not find anything wrong with it and decided just ignore him, till he took my page and wrote down the answer and even adding a circle around with a happy face just to add some extra annoyance to his presence.
“All you did wrong was add the solution wrong with the balance equation, Ms. I Can Do It All By Myself.” He said with humor in his tone.
I took back my page and looked at my question realizing he was correct and decided not to show it on my face.
“You’re welcome, Rose.” Liam said staring at me with a smirk.
“Thanks.” I mumbled.
The teacher came over and asked us if we were getting along when I was about to just say I did not want a partner when Liam beat me to “Rose and I are doing great. Rose is an excellent partner, thank you.”
“That’s good to know. Rose is an excellent student in my class.” My teacher said as he walked off.
I gave Liam a glare as he started chuckling softly.
“An excellent student? Was he talking about the right Rose? Did I hear correctly? Because what I remembered this Rose that’s my partner just got the first question wrong.” Liam asked sarcastically.
“Ha-ha very funny.” I said with a fake toned laugh.
I looked at the clock and realized we only had a few minutes till the bell ringed to finish our papers when Liam snatched my paper and started writing all the answers on our papers.
“How do you know all the answers to these?” I asked shocked.
“Rose, I’m not from the cave man time.” Liam said sarcastically.
“I’m serious.” I said with no humor in my voice.
“Ok, if you want the truth, it’s in my genes. I was one of the top students in my old school.” he said as he finished up the last question with only one minute left of the class.
He put our names on it and brought it up to the teacher, leaving also a very shocked teacher.
“You sure you’re done?” the teacher asked us.
“Yes sir.” Liam said as the bell ringed.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, Rose.” Liam said as everyone left the classroom including him.
It sounded more like a command but I shook it off.
“Yay. Can’t wait for tomorrow now.” I thought sarcastically walking out.
