Tell me if you love me

Ashleys POV

I stand outside Calums house in the dark wondering why I even came tonight. I supose it was because Laurel asked me to somehow I can never say no to her. I knew what I was letting mysel in for a night of torture pretending to have fun while she cuddled up to to Luke, the only boy I have ever loved. I dont know why I constantly put myself through the pain of watching the two of them together waiting on the sidelines for the day the pain will stop. I know all too well why Laurel dragged me here, she has a new obsession with trying to set me up with Calum Hood, our friend who she insists has feelings for me, trouble is its hard to tell your best friend the reason you arent interested in any other guys is that your in love with her boyfriend. So here I am all dressed up in my black mini-dress and ultra high-heels with my make up immaculately done and all I want to do is go home, not party all night like everyone else is planning to do.

Under my breath I curse Ashton,my brother I texted him half an hour ago asking him to pick me up and he said he would be here in ten minutes, hes late of course, typical Ashton. I dont think anyone even noticed when I slipped away from the party. Or maybe I thought wrong... I hear the shuffling of foosteps behind me andspin around on one heelexpecting to see Laurel or one of my other friends, but instead I gasp in suprise as the handsome face of Luke Hemmings comes into my view, and he is walking towards me. I can tell he has had way too much to drink he is swaying from side to side. I watch him warily as he approaches I nervously raise one hand in greeting "Hey Luk-" I begin to say, but he cuts me off by wrapping one strong arm around my waist and pulling me to him ina hungry kiss. As our lips crush together, I feel as if I am walking on air. It feels like magicthe way his lips connect with mine. His moth is so warm, the caress of his lips softer than I could have imagined. I reach my hands up to touch his hair but then I come to my senses and roughly pus hi away. Oh my god!

What have I done!I just kissed my best friends boyfriend! I think of the first thing I can and hurriedly blurt out "Luke this was a mistake I get it your drunk but you have a girlfriend... and I have a boyfriend." I hurriedly add and then I want to slap myself What have I done! Luke just looks bewildered as he stutters "Who?" I say the first name I think of "Calum! Im sorry" then I turn and run as fast as I can. What have I got myslef into?CalumLukes POV:
I stand there stunned feeling bewilderment, hurt and anger all at the same time. How could Calum do this to me? He knows how I feel about her in fact he's the only one who knows. I can't believe she chose him over me it feels like I have been rejected by her all over again...

"Laurel!" I shout as I see her walking "Wait! I need to talk to you!" Laurel turn and gives me a wide smile, she is pretty I suppose with long black wavy locks and gleaming eyes, but she is nothing compared to Ashley. "Um.. I wanted to ask you something" I say as I catch up to her and she gives me a questioning look "Its about Ashley actually... I wanted to know if she has a boyfriend?" For a split second I see her smile slip as she surveys me. "Oh its funny you ask me Luke as a matter of fact I think she has someone in mind"she smiles at me knowingly and I feel a surge of hope inside me she couldn't be talking about me...could she? "I have a feeling she likes Calum, you know when you just know something even if someone doesn't tell you?" she beams. I feel all hope evaporate and I try to conjure up a smile "Yeah I know, well I just wanted to know thanks Laurel"

I never told Calum what Laurel had told me that day, I don't know perhaps even though I knew it was impossible I still thought maybe somehow we would end up together. What a fool I am. I hear a slight cough behind me and turn around to see Callum standing there "Uh Luke mate are you okay?" he says and I feel a rush of jealousy towards him, why him not me? "Yeah sure mate" I say and then add as an afterthought "By the way I just ran into Ashley she was leaving and she told me about you two congrats man, so how long have you been together then?" though I try to keep accusation out of my voice its still there. Callum looks so stunned it would almost be funny in any situation "Your winding me up right?" he says "Ash didn't actually say that did she?"Its the casual affectionate way he says her name that makes my blood boil and I try hard not to shout as I say "Uh Yeah Cal she did, thanks for clearing it with me and all, some mate you are! You know how I feel about her!" Callum looks at me and I can tell he is beginning to get angry too "Right, so if you care about her so much why are you fooling around with her best friend huh? Oh wait she rejected you!" he spits out. As soon as he says the words I knows he regrets them he tries to backtrack "Listen mate... Im sorry" but the blow has already been dealt.
"Stay the hell away from me!" I shout and walk away from him
