Just a Little Bit of Your Heart

Ch. 2

Madison's POV

"Have a good day at school, Maddy, you'll be fine, I promise." Mom had told me, kissing me on the cheek.

"Remember to be friendly, and keep your chin up." Dad chimes in, hugging me tightly.

"Right. Bye guys, I'll see you later." I wave them off, putting on the best smile I possibly can.

I guess they already feel bad enough for making me move all the way across the country. All the way from America. That's a long way from here in case you didn't know. My mom and dad both shared a company, and they get transferred around a lot. What normally happens is that once I get used to a place and I get a good amount of friends, we move. I've never kept in touch with any of my previous friends because I know that I will never get to see them again, so what's the point?

When I arrive to school, I get hit with that feeling of loneliness. I should be used to this by now seeing as how many times I've moved around. "Sorry." I murmur as I get pushed into a girl by some commotion behind me.

"No it's good. Hi I'm Violet." She smile.

"Madison. Nice to meet you." I give a small grin, feeling uneasy.

"Where you from? Your not from here."

"Ha no. I'm from America." I explain.

"That's a long ways away. How come?" Violet ponders as we walk through the hall.

"My parents. They got relocated once again, so here I am." I chuckle.

"Nice. Anyways, do you know what classes you have for today?"

"Uh yeah." I dig through my bag on the side of my shoulder, pulling out my schedule as we reach her locker I assume. "Here."

"That blows." She pouts. "At least we have lunch." Violet sympathetically shrugs.

I laugh at her, watching as people walk by. This one boy, however, draws all my attention to him. He had beautiful blond high hair, with tattoos lacing down his arms, and almost reaching the neck. He bites at his lip ring while staring me down, and as much as I'd like to look away, I'm caught in this trance, until Violet waves her hand in my face.

"Madison! Snap out of it." She demands.

I blink a few times, trying to make sense of what just happened. The image of this boy circling through my mind. I have to know who this is. "Sorry." I speak, barely above a whisper.

Violet shakes her head. "I'll see you at lunch." She chuckles walking off.

I sigh, grabbing my schedule back out, and finding my way to my class. Violet could at least showed me where to go. Eventually, I find my assigned room, and enter the half empty class. I take a seat in the very back, trying to avoid chatter.

"Good Morning class!" Our teacher sings, making half the class groan. I found out that her name was Mrs. Porter, and thankfully she had yet to notice her new student. Probably because she hadn't taken row. Suddenly, the tall boy and three other pretty boys walk in the class.

"Mr. Hemmings. Hood, Clifford, Irwin. Your all late."

"And?" The blonde on shrugs, taking his seat in the back , followed by the other boys. On his way over, he looks at me, smirking. I blush, looking away.

"Ah it seems we have a new student. Madison Greenwall?" Mrs. Porter reads from her chart. The blood rushes to my face as I slowly raise my hand. "How about you stand up and introduce to the class who you are?"

I know I shouldn't be nervous because I've done this a million times, but with the blonde boy staring a hole through you, it's kind of tough. "I'm uh Madison. And I just moved here from America." I stutter.

The blonde boy snickers, whispering something to a curly headed tattooed boy. I sit back down as everyone interupts in chatter. "It's not nice to stare." The blonde boy calls.

I sheepishly look away, as he darts over here. "You got something you wanna say?" He asks biting on his lip ring. I shake my head. "Come on dear, I know you know how to talk."

"N-no." I speak up, feeling my face flush.

"That's what I thought." He scoffs and leans on the table. "America huh?"

"Yes."

"What brings you here?"

"Well-"

Never mind, I could care less actually. Stay away from me. You and that friend of yours." He warns, making my stomach twist with some sort of emotion I cant figure out right now.

***

"He said that?" Violet asks me in disbelief.

I nod. "I don't even know him either. He was the one asking questions." I shake my head, so confused by his unpleasant behavior.

"Well cheer up because this Friday we have a party to attend to!" She cheers.

"A party?"

"Do Americans have parties?"

I laugh. "Of course we do, it's just parties aren't really my thing. And plus I've never been to one."

"Don't knock it till you try it. You don't have a choice, whether you like it or not, your going."
"Fine." I say as the bell sounds. "Bye Violet."

***

The day goes by a little to slowly for my liking. Just boring things about lectures that I didn't pay attention to. And of course the same whole, stand up and introduce yourself. I spotted the blonde haired guy throughout the hallways and he would give me death glares when he would pass me. I didn't understand why he was acting this way, but it was already getting quiet annoying. I had the Asian looking guy who was also tatted up and the flamboyant guy with the weird colored hair in my last period class, they didn't really acknowledge me, but they seemed a lot more friendly that the blonde guy. I discovered that the colored hair boy's name was Michael because of how many time the teacher had to get on to him.

I'm now at home and I just entered the door. My father is the first one to notice my presence. "Hi honey, how'd it go?"

I shrug. "The same as any other new school, same concepts." I nod, leaving out the boys that are still getting to me. "On a good note, I did make a new friend."

"That's great! I'm so proud of you."

"She invited me to a party on Friday. She says I have no choice, that I have to go with her."

Dad sighs, "Well I trust you, we'll discuss it with your mother when she gets home from work."

I nod and go up to my room, thinking about everything so far. The boy, to Violet, to just being here In general. I'll have a lot to get adjusted to, but for now, I know it's going to be a journey.
