Torn

“Sister!!!” Violet yelled as I heard the front door slam. She’s been out shopping all day with Daisy and I’ve been at home babysitting Colin and reading One Direction fanfiction.

“On the couch!” I shouted back. Right now Colin is out back jumping on the trampoline. As she approached me I closed the tab with the fanfiction and then locked and closed my laptop. When she got into the living room she sat down three shopping bags and then one bag from the drug store and then sat down next to me.

“What’s going on ya goof?” I asked her as I put my hair into a ponytail.

“Well I may be pregnant and I got us some super cute outfits! Yay!” She said rushing through the first half of the sentence.

“Woah wait! You may be pregnant?!?!” I asked standing up and looking at her.

“Yeah last time Niall visited things got pretty heated.” She said and I gagged.

“Okay I know that. Are you going to take the test now or what? Also how are you so calm?” I asked her.

“Trust me I went through the freak out phase with Daisy and yes I’m going to take the test now.” She said picking up all the bags and literally skipping up the stairs. When she turned her back my phone began to ring and I chuckled while answering my phone.

“Hello?” I asked.

“Hey, just calling to see what’s up.” Harry said in reply.

“Just trying to wrap my head around something. What’s up with you?”

“Sitting at home doing absolutely nothing.”

“That’s fun. I’m sure you can figure out something to do.”

“Whatever you say. I was actually calling to see if you wanted to come over and hangout tonight. I know your sister and Niall have a date tonight.”

“I would love to, but I’m on babysitting duty tonight. Mom and dad are at a conference for dad’s job and then the twins are at a basketball camp all weekend.” I said as Colin walked into the house.

“Bring the little man with you.”

“I’ll ask him hold on.” I said before taking my phone away from my ear.

“Colin do you want to go to Harry’s tonight?” I asked him as he walked into the living room.

“Duhhh!” He said before going upstairs and I laughed. I put my phone back up to my ear and asked Harry what time we should come over. He told us whenever and I said we would be there in three hours. We hung up and I laid down onto the couch only to be called by Violet from upstairs..

“Do I have to go all the way up or can you meet me halfway?” I asked her.

“All the way!” She shouted back and I groaned before making my way up to where she was standing with the test in her hand and tears streaming down her face. Like the great twinnie I am I ran over and pulled her into a hug and just let her cry. She handed me the test and I saw that it was positive.

“You’re going to get through this sis! If we have to postpone our new album launch tour then we will. Niall will be here for you and so will I.” I said as she just cried in my arms.

“I know you will, but not so sure about Niall. Oh my gosh! Mom and dad!” She said moving her head onto my lap. I began to play with her hair and just tried to sooth her. We sat like that for about an hour and then she finally stopped crying and I wiped away her remaining tears.

“You sit here and I’ll pick out your outfit and then I’ll also do your hair and makeup.” I said and she nodded her head numbly. I walked directly across the hall to her room and raided her closet, but I had no idea where she was going so I called Niall and asked him. He said they are going to to have a nice dinner on a secluded beach. After hanging up I walked into her closet and grabbed her light pink maxi dress and sandals to go with it and then went into my room.

“Put this on.” I said handing them to her and she did just that. After she was dressed I quickly did her hair and makeup. By the time I was down Niall was at the door.

“Have fun, and remember what happens you will always have your twinnie.” I said kissing her cheek before leading her downstairs where Niall was sitting and talking to Colin.

“Cols go change into possibly pajamas and then we are out of here.” I said as the door closed behind Violet and Niall. I sent Harry a text telling him we were leaving the house soon. I went to change into yoga pants and a Harry Ed Sherran hoodie I stole from him last time I was at his house. When we finally got to Harry’s house Colin tackled Harry into a hug and I laughed as I walked inside.

“Missed you too bubs.” Harry replied with a chuckle.
