Strictly Professional.

Penny had successfully distanced herself from Niall, putting all of her effort into Harry and trying to make things work. Harry was none the wiser, he himself seemed distracted and that was making penny feel a bit uneasy.
The two were catching their breath as they lay in the nice fluffy bed in Harry's hotel room after a nice romp.
"You never cease to amaze me" penny said with a grin, her arm wrapping over his chest and she pulled herself closer to him.
"I can say the same for you babe" he said softly, his fingers were twirling random bits of her hair, giving her chills from his touch.
It was easy to forget everything in moments like these, moments when life made sense.
She heard her phone ring, her eyes moving slightly to watch it vibrate.
"Ugh, will you hand me that?" She asked, Harry reached over and grabbed the phone, handing it to her without looking at the screen. She saw the name Silas flash across the screen and shuddered. She hadn't spoken to him in months, why would he be calling her. She pressed the answer button and put the phone to her ear.
"Hello...?" She answered wearily.
"Hey Penelope....I know you probably don't want to speak to me, but it's Mauri.... There has been an accident." Penny springs up from the bed, immediately feeling tears in her eyes.
"What? What happened?!" She asked frantically and Harry looked over with concern, sitting up and placing a hand on her shoulder.
"She was crossing the street and someone hit her Penelope....she didn't make it...."
Silas' voice cracked, she could hear him crying. "Where are you?" She asked, swallowing the sobs that were desperately trying to escape.
"I'm at the hospital, the doctor just gave us the news..."
"I'm going to the airport now. I'll call you when I land." She decided abruptly, turning to look at Harry.
"Okay penny, please be safe" Silas said before they hung up. Penny stood up, she was chaotically picking up her clothes and getting dressed, trying hard to hold it together even though she could feel her heart falling to pieces.
"Penny what happened?" Harry asked as he stood up and grabbed her shoulders, steadying her as he gazed into her blood shot eyes.
She collapsed into his arms, her sobs flowing freely as she realized what was happening.
Harry tried his hardest to calm her, smoothing his hands over her hair while he repeated it would be okay. She shoved herself from his embrace, grabbing her shirt and pulling it on.
"No! It won't be!" She cried out, pulling her pants on.
"What happened penny?! Talk to me!" He demanded, fear in his voice
"Mauri...." She said slowly, her back to him as she stared down at her shoes.
"What?" Harry pressed, walking in front of her and pulling her face up to look up at him. The tears had stopped and all color drained from her face.
".....she's dead."
