Strong (Book 2 in the No Control series)

The last several months have been totally crazy. Caroline had some other commitments, so I was in charge of the guys wardrobes for the promo tour for the new album. I traveled everywhere with them, the whole time Liam and I also working with our wedding planner to finalize everything. All of it leading up to today. Five days till our wedding.
Over breakfast at the villa, Liam takes my hand. “Are you alright? You haven’t eaten much these last few days.”
“Well for one I have a wedding dress to fit into. Mostly though I’m nervous.”
“What are you nervous about, love? I promise you I’ll slow up.” Liam grins.
I give him the smile I know he’s looking for. “That’s not what I’m nervous about. I just want everything to go perfectly. And we only have five days.”
Liam squeezes my hand. “Liz, even if everything went wrong that day, it would still be the best day of my life because I’m marrying you. I wish it was today, I don’t want to wait any longer for you to be my wife.”
I take a deep breath and let it out slowly. “You are absolutely right. I promise I am going to let the wedding planner handle everything. I am going to relax and enjoy this amazing time in our life.”
Liam smiles. A happy relieved smile. “Good. Now eat something.”
I get up from my chair, moving to Liam’s. I sit on his lap, wrapping my arms around his neck. “I’m hungry, Handsome. But not for food.”
Liam smirks. “Shall we go to the bedroom?”
“I was actually thinking the kitchen. Our last chance before everyone arrives.” I wiggle my eyebrows.
“Liz, they are supposed to arrive here anytime now.”
“So? Are you turning chicken on me, Payno?”
Liam grins. “Absolutely not!” He picks me up, carrying me to the kitchen counter. Then, reminiscent of our first time at the villa, we experience far more pleasure than I’m sure most people do in their kitchens.
Just as we are putting our disheveled selves back together, we hear the large, heavy front door creak open, voices following. One last amazing kiss before greeting our guests.
“Welcome, everyone.” We say together. This batch of guests includes: Caroline, Niall, Louis, and Liam’s family.
Louis shakes his head. “Just look at you two. All flushed. Do you ever stop?”
Liam and I look at each other. With big grins we turn back to him and in stereo say. “No!”
Everyone laughs. I mean come on, they know us by now. Liam and I show everyone around the villa, helping them all get settled. We’ve already moved our things to the cottage.
Liam and I step outside by the pool to take a moment alone. With his arm protectively around me Liam asks. “How are you doing with everyone being here at the villa?”
I look up at him with a relaxed smile. “I’m actually good with it. I’m enjoying sharing it with them. I guess I’m not as selfish as I thought I was.”
Liam smirks. “Oh Babe, you aren’t selfish at all.”
I laugh. “You are very giving yourself, Baby.” I get on my tiptoes, wrapping my arms around Liam’s neck. He eagerly bends down to meet my mouth. Our kisses are quite passionate, forgetting we aren’t alone.
“Oh bloody hell! They’re at it again.”
We laugh. “Sorry, Louis.”
