Everything I Didn't Say

After Adeline told Luke that she was pregnant, Luke made it his priority to put her and the baby's needs before anything and anyone else. The Hemmings family and Anderson family came to terms with everything and fully forgive Luke for his previous actions that lead to harm Adeline, and they forgave Adeline for lying all this time.

Shelby actually made it to high school and is now seeing someone. Seems like things may be going back in the same direction with Adeline and Luke except some of the details are different. Shelby is with Michael. Michael is in his last year in college and everyday Marcus makes threats to send him away because other than Shelby, he doesn't believe that age is 'just a number'. After everything with Adeline, however, Rose thinks that Shelby should be able to date whomever she wants so she doesn't turn out like Adeline. Harsh.

Adeline doesn't have to worry about that though. She and Luke now live their lives in New York where this winter they are expecting to enjoy real snow with their happy and healthy daughter, Alice. Alice Grace Hemmings. Yes you read that right. They are now married and could never be more happier.

The pregnancy wasn't that pleasant though. Luke tried to hide for the longest time that he was scared of having a baby. Before he even knew about the pregnancy, he admitted to himself that he couldn't even take care of his own self. How was he ever able to take care of another life?

Because of this, he isolated himself from Addy and her belly. Anytime he'd look at it, he'd feel a sense of remorse. Remorse for getting her pregnant in the first place. Remorse for ruining her life. Addy could never think that though. After a while of not seeing Luke she finally have the nerve to tell him that if he wasn't going to be able to do this then he could leave. She made it clear that she wasn't going to trap him, but also had told him that he would make the best father, and soon grandfather. Way, way far in the future of course.

Luke can still remember the day Adeline's water broke. They were actually on their way to a baby shower since they procrastinated on having one for so long. She was eight months along with only a few more weeks and they were walking up the stairs to her childhood home, where her mum still lives, and Luke laughed.

He laughed because on some level he's still that same immature fool back in high school. He thought she peed herself. He was laughing until his side hurt, that is until Addy started to cry. She collapsed on the stairs to the house and began holding her stomach. Instantly, he asked her what was wrong and tried to make sure the baby was fine. Up until this point they still didn't have a name for the baby.

Somehow her mother knew she was in pain and came to the rescue. Marcus was on the phone calling the hospital. Luke's face was pale and he was horrified. Suddenly everything that they'd been warned about, how serious it was to bring a child into this world hit him like the side of a truck.

Once they got there and were settled, Adeline became really irritable. She complained about everything and cursed every now and again. Everyone knew that she was in pain, but at the same time no-one wanted to be in the same room as her. Sometimes Luke was happy when the doctors had told him to leave. He loved her so much and hated seeing her in pain.

Ashton, Calum, and Michael had come down to see her as well. Since they weren't allowed in the room they waited until she gave birth to finally see the baby. Of course Michael was there. He came with Shelby.

16 hours. 16 long hours was the time they all had to wait until the baby was born. As soon as Luke saw his daughter he knew that he loved her more than anything in this world. Almost more than Adeline. He couldn't believe that he could make such a beautiful child as Alice. The name was picked out by Luke. At first Adeline didn't like it, but the more they tried to come up with names, the more it grew on her.

Believe it or not, that wasn't even the hard part. They lived at Adeline's mother's house for a good month to get in the hang of things. Alice would scream all night and wake everyone up in the house. Shelby soon got so tired of it, she moved in with Michael. Marcus was too exhausted to say anything about it.

Adeline started to develop depression. She wouldn't get out of bed, and wouldn't even want to touch her own daughter. She would always say that she didn't deserve such a blessing when she was such a horrible person.

Nothing was pulling her out of this. Nothing at all. Until one night, Luke left to go see his family and friends and just get away, and Rose wanted to leave the baby with Adeline so that maybe she would come to her senses. Alice started crying and her mother instincts kicked in. Adeline was a mother again. Though she never stopped.

Afterwards, Luke and Adeline moved to New York and became husband and wife. You could say that things happen for a reason, or that they got their happy ever after.

They would say that they made their own story with their own ending.
