The Making Of Us

“Wa..Wa..What?” Niall stutters

“I’m Pregnant Niall.” I say

“How? When? We were careful” he says

“I agree we were careful. But I forgot to take my birth control the whole time I was in London for Spring break. I am eight weeks and 4 days as of today.” I tell him

“I..I just don’t know what to think. Me? We? We are going to be parents?” Niall sputters

“Yes baby. You and I are going to be parents” I say smiling through my tears

Niall picks me up and spins me around hugging me tightly. The rest of the night goes by smoothly. We take our time eating all our favorite foods and remembering all the things that had happened over the last year. Most of them good, some sad and some not so good but through it all we can out stronger than ever. I am now pleased to call myself the future wife of Niall James Horan and mother of his unborn child. After we are done with dinner Niall and I wander around Chicago before going back to the hotel to snuggle in bed and fall asleep. Today was and is the best day ever.

I wake to the sound of my phone buzzing, so I grab it to see I have 17 text message and 8 missed calls from Taylor. What the hell is going on with her that she is blowing up my phone?

“Taylor what is wrong with you? Why are you blowing up my shit?” I ask annoyed

“C..Ca…Cassie, I need you right now” she sobs

“Why what happened?” I ask worried

“Just hurry up and come down to the room please, I’ve locked myself in the bathroom I need your help” she says crying

“Ok, be there in a sec” I say

I throw my robe on and hurry out the door and down the hall. I beat on the door and yell Taylor’s name a little too loudly I think. Louis opens the door, he looks horrified.

“What is going on in here?” I ask

“I don’t know she woke up and there was blood.. A massive amount of blood in the bed. She could barely move I had to help her to the bathroom and now she’s locked herself in there and won’t come out.” Louis explains

Louis shows me the bed and I have to agree, that is a lot of blood to just be her period. What the fuck is going on? I hurry to the bathroom knocking on the door impatiently

“It’s me sweetie let me in” I say

Taylor unlocks the door and I enter the bathroom, she’s sitting on the toilet, she has a very gray complexion. She doesn’t look good at all. She is bawling, and holding her stomach.

“What is going on?” I ask her calmly

“I don’t know Cassie. I just started bleeding at first I thought it was my period but its way too heavy and I can barely move. Louis had to almost carry me in here. I have a lot of pressure, down there you know. Cassie I’m scared.” Taylor says between sobs

“Honey I think you should go to the hospital. Something is definitely wrong” I tell her

Taylor agrees to let Louis and I take her to the hospital. First I run back to my room and grab a handful of pads. Niall wakes up to see me in a rush, I tell him about Taylor so he hurries and calls Paul to bring the car around. It would get us out of here a lot faster if we took the secret entrance. I go back to Lou’s room and hand Taylor a pad and some new clothes to change into. I grab her purse as Louis helps Taylor walk to the elevators. We finally get out to the car and are in route to the hospital. Taylor gets back to a room right away; the first thing the nurse orders is an ultrasound.

“WHY?” Louis yells

“Well sir in situations like this we want to rule out any possibility of a miscarriage.” The nurse says

He sits down quietly, and takes Taylor’s hands in his

“Taylor? Are you pregnant?” he asks her

“What? God no I have my IUD I can’t get pregnant.” She says

There is a look of relief on his face along with concern. The way he is looking at Taylor I can tell he is in love with her and I know she loves him; she told me she does. The ultrasound tech comes into the room and scans Tay’s bracelet then starts to wheel her out of the room.

“Louis will you come with me please?” she asks

“Sure love I won’t let you go through this alone.” He tells her

They are gone for actually quite a long time before they come back into the room. A horrified look on both of their faces, they’ve both been crying.

“What happened?” I asked worried now too

“Um…Uh she’s in labor” Louis says his voice cracking

“WHAT!?” I shout

“Yea the ultrasound showed a baby in her uterus. They said by the size of the baby she’s only about thirty one weeks and the baby only weighs two pounds.” He says new tears rolling down his face.

“Ok so what do we do now then?” I ask

The nurse comes back in and says they are transferring Taylor to the Maternity Unit and getting her into a birthing room. They are hooking up stuff called Pitocin to help speed up the labor process. Which means she will have this baby today. Louis yells at me to call everyone so I start with calling his mom first, then Kim and finally calling the rest of the boys. Before too long the boys are all up here sitting in the room with us. Louis mom is getting the first flight out and so is Kim.

FOUR HOURS LATER:
Taylor has been having contractions really bad she’s not dilated enough to have an epidural yet so she has to deal with the pain. She’s been squeezing Louis hand through them and I swear to god his fingers are going to fall off. All of a sudden the machine that’s hooked up to her starts beeping very loudly.

“What the fuck does that mean?” I hear Louis and Niall ask at the same time

Before we know it the room is swarmed with nurses, all of them shooing us out. We go to sit in the waiting room before Louis comes out and tells us the baby’s heart rate was lost and they couldn’t pick it back up so they are taking her into emergency C Section. Louis then hurriedly follows the doctor and disappears behind the doors labeled delivery rooms.

“Oh my god I hope everything is ok with Taylor and the baby.” I say

“She’s going to be ok, did she tell you that she was pregnant?” Zayn asks me

“No I had no idea and by the looks on their faces earlier she had no clue either.” I said

About forty five minutes go by before Louis reappears.

“Everything is ok now. The baby is here and SHE is doing ok. The nurses rushed her up to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.” He says

“A GIRL OH MY GOD LOUIS CONGRATS MATE” all the boys say at once
