Chapter 36

Chapter 36 (Louis’s P.O.V.)

It was early for me. And yet, I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why I was awake. I didn’t know what it was, but I did know that there was no way that I was going to go back to sleep. I looked over, seeing that my roommate had already left the room. Niall was probably in the kitchen looking for breakfast.

I sighed. It was like eight in the morning. Everyone should be awake but Zayn, so we all couldn’t go out somewhere. My mind was working, trying to figure out something to do. I finally groaned, I really needed something to do. I was bored. I thought about getting up and bothering the others for some laughs, but I was too comfortable to leave my bed yet.

I decided that I would mess with my phone. I grabbed it from my side table and checked my Twitter. It was the same as always, crazed fans and more crazed fans. I sighed as I closed the app. I needed to socialized, but not Twitter style.

“She should be up.” I said to myself as I began to send a text.

Hey wat up?

I stared at my phone impatiently for an answer. Finally, my phone lit up, reading: New Message: Tracey. I smiled as I opened the message and read it.

Fixing stuff up

4 wat?

That seemed so odd for Tracey. She wasn’t the kind of person that liked to clean, like me. It was just one of the many things that we had in common, aside from pranking others.

My place was trashed by some1 last nite

I looked at my phone in wonder. Someone had trashed her apartment while we were all together last night. I wanted to know who had the nerve to trash someone’s place like that.

Did they take anything?

No, just left note

They left a note? That made almost no sense. Why would someone trash your apartment and then leave you a note?

Wat it say?

I need to stay away frm some1s man

That was really odd. It was almost too odd. It all seemed really suspicious to me, and I couldn’t figure out why. I almost felt as if I should know what happened there.

Do u want help?

It was the least I could do. I hated to clean, but she did too. Not to mention, that this whole thing wasn’t fair to Tracey.

U dont have to

Already up, b there soon

And with that, I sat down my phone and forced myself to my feet. I trudged over to my closet and changed. I stepped into the bathroom and combed through my hair. I didn’t feel like messing with it this morning.

“You’re up.” I heard a chipper voice saying from my room. I looked over to see a smiling Eleanor. She seemed oddly happy, but I was up earlier than usual.

“Yeah,” I responded as I headed in my room to grab my phone.

“So,” she started, “I was thinking that we could go out for the day and maybe have lunch together.”

That was why she was so happy. She had planned out an entire day for the two of us. I groaned in my head. She wasn’t going to be happy in a moment.

I turned to her, “Sorry Elie. I have stuff I need to go do.”

“Like what?” I could tell she was waiting for her opportunity to say that she would come with me.

“I’m going over to help Tracey clean her apartment. Someone trashed it last night.”

“Oh,” I watched her face drop, “I see.” I could hear the sourness in her tone, “And did she ask you to come over and help?”

I looked at her funny, “No, I offered.”

She growled, seeming very frustrated over the whole situation. Then she mumbled something that I wasn’t supposed to hear, “Should’ve done more.”

That was when everything clicked into place. It all made sense to me now. I felt as if I knew what had happened because I did, just not how or why to the full extent.

“You need to apologize to her.”

Eleanor looked at me funny, “Excuse me? Why?”

I sighed, “Because I know it was you who trashed her apartment.”

“So?” she asked, “She deserved it.”

“No she didn’t.” I got offensive, “I don’t know where you get that at.”

“She needs to learn her place.” Eleanor stated.

I knew what this was all about. Eleanor was jealous of Tracey because she lived here and could see me more often. She even got this way with my sisters sometimes.

“Eleanor, you need to just chill out.”

“I will, when she learns.” She was determined.

“No, you need to apologize to her.” I said but I could easily tell that she was fed up with this conversation.

“Why should I have to apologize to some lowly little nobody like that?”

“Eleanor!” I exclaimed.

“What?!” she started, “She is a worthless little nobody who deserve what she got and probably more.”

Okay, that was it. It was bad enough that she had the nerve to trash Tracey’s apartment, but she had no right to say that Tracey was worthless. Tracey wasn’t worthless. I could feel my blood beginning to boil. I couldn’t stand Eleanor’s attitude anymore. She was always being like this, and I would just write it off as her worrying about me, but this time she had gone too far.

“Get out.” I plain said.

Her eyes widened, “What?” she was stunned. She never expected to hear those words from me.

“I said, get out.”

I step aside so she could have a clear path to the door.

“Louis!” she whined. “How could you?”

“How could I?” I looked at her in disbelief, “I’m not the one who trashed someone apartment to try and get a point across. A point that didn’t even need to be made.”

“Yes it did!”

“No, it didn’t.” I started up again, “And then you can’t bring yourself down from your high horse to apologize for something that shouldn’t have been done. You need to get over yourself and apologize to Tracey!”

I was mad and I’m sure that Eleanor could see that. Actually, I hoped she could see just how mad she had made me.

“I will not!” she yelled back, “I have no reason to apologize. That little bitch got what she deserved!”

That was it. “Get out!” I demanded pointing toward the door. “And don’t try coming back here again.”

I was fed up with her shit. She had the nerve to slander Tracey and wreck her home, and then couldn’t be decent enough to apologize.

“Fine!” she yelled as she stormed over to me. “You’re making a mistake. You’ll be calling me later.”

“I highly doubt it.” I said as she turned away. She stopped in mid-step, turning around and slapped me hard across the face. My face stung as she stormed out of the room. Moments later, I felt the front door slam.

I growled really loud. She had me so mad and then expected me to want anything to do with her. She was so full of shit, I couldn’t believe it.

“Are you okay?”

I looked to the doorway to see Niall. He wore a worried look on his face. I couldn’t blame him, I don’t think the boys have ever seen me this mad before.

“I will be in a little while.” I mumbled as I grabbed my phone and headed for the door. As I entered the living room, my eyes landed on the wall mirror by the door. On my face, I could see a bright red handprint on my left cheek. I turned and ignored it. Yeah, it stung, but I was too mad to even think about it as I walked out the door.
