Emmy’s POV

The fireworks seemed like they weren’t going to stop. The cheering and celebrating down on the beach just got louder and louder. Harry and I stood there, his arms around me tight as we watched them out on the sand.

‘’This is perfect, you know.’’ Harry sighs as he leans his chin on top of my head. ‘’because I have you.’’ He adds with his arms squeezing me tight. ‘’It’s been two minutes and they’re still going crazy down there.’’ Harry chuckles a little as he removes his arms from my body and leans back, causing me to stand up straight, not being about to rely on him anymore.

‘’Yeah.. they’re all sure enjoying it.’’ I smile as I glance up at him just to see his emerald irises staring down at me. ‘’Have I ever told you.. how much I love you?’’ He asks, lightly furrowing his eyebrows.

‘’Yeah.. you tell me all the time.’’ I smile, confused on why he asked this. ‘’No, I mean like.. seriously, I’ve never told you how much I truly love you. It’s because I can’t explain it.’’ He smiles, winking at me.

‘’You’re so silly.’’ I say as I roll my eyes with a smile.



‘’I love you.’’ Harry’s voice was serious. I look back up to see he was only gently smiling as his gaze on me never died out.

I just watched him as he stepped back a little, putting both arms behind his back. ‘’Emmy.. I need to talk to you.. about something.’’ Harry sighs, glancing at me with a smile on his face.

‘’What is it?’’ I ask. ‘’Well.. it’s more like a question.’’ He shrugs a little. ‘’Okay, what?’’ I say with a smile, rather confused to be honest. Just when I was about to ask what was wrong with him because he was being so weird right now, Harry kneeled down in front of me and brought his arms from behind back.

In his right hand was a little black box with some designer label sued onto the fabric, but I couldn’t make it out. As he rests his left arm on his knee, he holds the little box in his palm, his eyes staring up into mine.

‘’Emmy Blaine Matthews.. I will never.. be able.. to explain how much I love you. Ever since I met you I’ve been crazy inside. I get butterflies every time I lay my eyes on you. You make me feel happy and.. feel like I have a purpose to be on this earth. You are my purpose.’’ Harry smiles as I cover my mouth with my hand, my entire body feeling weightless as he continues on.

“I know we fight.. we argue.. we.. we scream and yell at each other.. but baby, honestly, there’s no other person I’d rather be with.. You are my other half. I love you so much and I fall in love with you every time I look into those beautiful blue eyes. I don’t want us to rush, unless that’s what you want. I want to give this to you because you are mine.. there is no one else for me in this universe.. I couldn’t even dare to imagine a life with out you here by my side. I understand if you want to wait.. I don’t care I just want to make sure you know how much I love you. I want to live forever with you. You are my princess, Emmy. My everything.. I want to give you the happily ever after you deserve baby.. I want to make sure I give you the best life I can.. I want to make sure I love you, even in times when you don’t want me to. I will be by your side forever.. You can’t push me away.. I’m too in love to go anywhere. I’d be lost with you Emmy..’’ Harry smiles, a tear trailing down his cheek.

I hold my breath, my hand tight over my mouth as I watch him open the box, revealing a beautiful diamond ring. But it wasn’t about that ring.. it was about his words, it’s about us, it’s about… him.

‘’Emmy Matthews.. will you marry me?’’


Harry’s POV

It was like someone dropped a ton of bricks on my shoulders. This moment was the most important time of my life. This determines my future, our future. Emmy’s eyes were watering and I knew she didn’t care if her make up started to run.

‘’Yes.’’ She nods as she drops her hands form her beautiful mouth. I stand up, carefully take her hand and slide the ring onto her finger. I look into her eyes, those eyes I feel in love with the day we met.. the eyes I want to wake up to every morning for the rest of eternity.

‘’I love you Harry.’’ She says as she puts her arms around my shoulders, holding me tight against her fragile body. ‘’I love you too, Emmy.. with all of my heart.’’ I whisper into her ear as I hold her just as tight.

She leans back, surprising me as she puts her lips to mine, sealing a perfect kiss.



Perfect.. just like this moment.. just like my life.. just like us.. just like her. Perfect.
