Prologue-How Skye Lukens Came To Be A Lukens
“Mama, Can you tell us how you met Daddy and Uncle Harry, Uncle Liam, Uncle Louis, Uncle Niall, and Uncle Zayn again!” A sandy-blonde haired 6-year-old girl named Kayla pleaded.
“May I? Remember, grammar!” Skye corrected, chuckling.
“May you please tell us how you met Daddy and Uncle Harry, Uncle Liam, Uncle Louis, Uncle Niall, and Uncle Zayn again! Please, Mommy!” a black-haired boy named Nicholas begged, giving his mother the best puppy dog eyes. Skye gave in when Kayla copied her 9-year-old brother
“There was a husband and wife, named James and Carter Lukens, who had been watching a family. Particularly a two-year-old girl, and a boy who was six to eight years old.
The girl had auburn hair. She seemed shy, and a lot less confident than her brother, which was saying a lot he seemed shy.
“Earlier, they had watched a drunk forty-year-old man try to steal the two kids. A Pepsi can had flown out of a nearby garbage can, and fly into the man’s face. The girl disappeared, and a chinese six-year-old girl was in her place.
“‘The boy can levitate things, I think!’ Carter whispered overenthusiastically to her husband. James nodded smirking evilly.
“‘I think the girl can shapeshift,’ he muttered back. Carter nodded in agreement.
They saw the little boy and girl were wandering off, and they sneakily walked over to her, and snatched her.
Throwing her in a bag, they ran out of the mall, and ran to their car. They threw the little girl in the back, and drove off.
At their house, the girl woke up, remembering nothing about who she was, or where she was from. “Who are you? What’s your name?” the little girl asked, her squeaky, british voice charming the couple.
“We’re your mom and dad! Skye, don’t you recognize us?” Carter lied, very convincingly. She used the name Skye, because that was Carter’s given name.
“Ok, Mommy! I will wemembew you fwom now on!” Skye cutely chirped.
Carter and James nodded, smiling kindly. A red glint was noticable in their eyes.
