Only The Beginning

I woke up. Not opening my eyes yet, yet knowing someone was in the same room as me. After what felt like a hour, I finally heard some shuffling. Then nothing until I heard a deep mans voice. My eyes shot open, only to see a large man sitting across from me in an unfamiliar room.

"Where am I?" I ask the man, who I remembered as Henry, the police Chief.

"Oh your awake," He said, more to himself then to me. "Um... your in the hospit-"

"What! Why?" I interrupted. I had never been to the hospital before so it surprised me, probably more then it should have.

"Well you see Miss Katherine. After I told you about the incident with your family, you passed out. Probably from shock. But when I tried to catch you, it was too late and you hit your head on the side of the coffee table." This instantly explained the constant throbbing in my head.

"How long have I been asleep?" I asked hesitantly.

"Only a few hours. You hit your head pretty hard though, but thankfully you only have a minor concussion." He said. I instantly got worried remembering what happened with my family. But soon that feeling passed as I fell into a deep sleep.

After my 4 hour nap, I finally got some food and was able to leave. The officer gave me a ride back to my flat, but then I was alone again. As soon as I walked through the front doors I was instantly knocked down.

"What the-" I said trying to stable myself as a familiar bleached hair girl rammed into me.

"KATE! I'm so so soooo sorry. I had no idea! Why didn't you call me. Oh my gosh, what are we going to do!" She said while squeezing my guts out.

"Okay okay, Lou please let go before you make me go back to that hospital." I interrupted, trying not to think about how I'll never see my family again. She instantly nodded and backed a few feet away.

"Thanks. Now what are you doing here? Doesn't tour start again like in two days?" I asked.

"Ya. But that doesn't mean that I cant comfort my little Kit Kat." She said, making me smile from using my nick name she made for me when she first found out that Kit Katts' were my favorite candy.

"Now come on, we are having a girls night. Filled with ice cream, pizza, movies, and if you want to talk about what happened, I'll be here for the next two days." She said instantly informing me that I will not be able to make her leave.

"Hey how did you get into my house anyway? I don't remember giving you a key." I asked, trying to change the subject.

"Well it's a long story. But remember when you were going through that 'I wont listen anybody' stage?"

"Ya?" I said confused.

"Well your Mom gave me a key cause she new that I could make you do anything." She said and I instantly started to cry, remembering my mom.

BANG BANG BANG

"What the hell Lou!" I yelled as loud as my sleepy voice could. It was 7:30 in the morning and just woke up because of the loud noise.

BANG BANG BANG

"What the-" I hear Lou say from next to me which almost made me jump.

"Lou? I thought that was you making the noise."

"I thought that was you. Wait then that means it's the door!" She stated, making me jump straight up and sprint to the door. I swing it open only to be facing 3 Large Men standing in front of me.

"Hello." I said hesitantly.

"Miss Evans? We were sent by the government. We need to speak to you about the custody of this house." The man in the middle said.

"Okay, please come in. Would you like some tea or coffee?" I asked while walking into the kitchen. They all said no, and when I sat down at the kitchen table I realized that this was going to be a quick conversation since they already had contracts and "notices" out.

"Well Miss, we will make this short and simple for you," Whoop, There it is.

"We are taking the house away."
