CLAIRE'S POV

For the last two days, Lyn has been swooning over Liam. She agrees with everything he says, and she even kisses him. Sometimes it turns into a full on makeout session and it's disgusting. It's literally been over four days and she's already falling into a criminal's arms.

I on the other hand, have kept my distance. Louis has nothing to say to me, and I have nothing to say to him. We just ignore eachother, and I'm loving it. I've had alone time, enough time for me to plan my escape.

I suck at making plans though, so my mind has been consumed with other thoughts. I just wish Lyn wasn't being a bitch, then we could plan this together to make so many things easier. But she's too busy falling for a criminal.

Louis was sitting in the corner in a chair polishing his rifle. I was just sitting with my legs crossed on the bed, playing with a loose thread on the blanket. It was an awkward silence, I haven't talked to anyone in two days.

I don't want to talk to Louis, but I am curious to know if this how it's going to be until I escape. Are we both just going to watch Lyn and Liam go at it while we just ignore eachother? But I wasn't going to ask, I was too afraid.

Not only have I not talked to anyone for two days, I haven't slept. How could I sleep after what I did the other day? That poor innocent lady was just looking outside, and I killed her.

People might tell me things like 'you were forced too, it's not you're fault.' Or, 'You also saved someone by doing that.'

That doesn't help. I pulled the trigger, no matter what, it was my fault. I can't even imagine how her family or friends feel. Devastated for sure, because she was murdered and no one knows why or who did it.

I yawned and my eyes became droopy, but everytime I closed my eyes I could hear and see what the murder scene must look like.

"That's like the fifth time you've yawned and it's annoying me." Louis said, still polishing his rifle.

I managed to roll my tired eyes, "Well maybe if you didn't force me to kill anyone, I'd be able to sleep."

"Well maybe if you just let Lyn shoot someone, you'd be fine." He shot back.

"Maybe if you didn't kidnap us-"

"Geez shut the fuck up." He muttered.

I breathed through my nose, holding in my anger. I don't want anything to increase too much, so I just stayed quiet.

"Wake up, we have to go. Now." Louis was shaking me awake.

Wait, I SLEPT YES! "Why are we leaving so soon?"

Louis glared at me, "Cops are on their way. They're onto us. Now let's go."

"Hold on I just woke up, I'm fucking tired." I groaned.

Louis cursed under his breath. In one movement, he put the rifle strap around his shoulder and picked me up, and threw me over his shoulder.

Now I was awake, "Louis put me down!"

"I love it when you say my name, love." His arrogant side was here, yay.

I didn't say anything, I just went limp as he ran to the car where Lyn and Liam were sitting in the back. Lyn smirked at me, and I just looked away. I don't like the new Lyn.

Louis started the car and sped down the long road. I was used to the speeding by now, so I just watched at the trees as we drove.

We drove for about five minutes until Louis began yelling and cursing. I looked and in front of us was a line of cars, and the cops were checking all the cars. I mentally did a happy dance, maybe we can be free.

"Claire, get in the driver's seat. Lyn get in the passenger seat, now." He ordered.

Louis crawled into the back, I crawled to the driver's seat. And Lyn got in the seat next to me. Since we were in a big van, Louis stood up and lifted up some trap door that I never noticed. He crawled into one, and Liam crawled into another one.

"And don't try anything, I know where your older brother lives, Claire." Louis said in muffled words.

Lyn and I sat there in shock, but we quickly averted our attention to the cop knocking on the window. I rolled down my window and put on a fake smile.

"Hello officer, is there a problem?" I asked fakely.

He looked into the car, "Just precautions. Why do you have such a big car if it's just the two of you?"

"It's not just us," I said, "I have family up in a cabin, we're just picking up pizza." Pretty good lie, I guess.

The officer raised an eyebrow and then said, "You can go."

Everything was going well as I began to roll is the window, until Liam sneezed. The idiot sneezed. The officer shot his head toward the back, "OVER HERE IN THIS VEHICLE!" He yelled.

"DRIVE CLAIRE, DRIVE!" Lyn yelled.

I panicked and slammed on the gas pedal, and sped passed seven cop cars. Louis and Liam came out of hiding and began arguing about how stupid Liam was.

"You exposed us you prick! We were so close to being fine!" Louis yelled.

Liam yelled back, "It's not my fucking fault! You can't just stop a sneeze!"

"Guys! Sort of being chased by cops!" I screamed and gripped the steering wheel.

They all stopped talking and Louis grabbed his rifle and stuck his head out the window. He fired shots and it sounded like he hit the tires of the cop cars. Smart move, I must admit.

"Make a left and stop!" Liam called.

I did and we were hidden inside trees. "Cut the engine." Louis said.

I did and the rest of the cop cars drove right passed us, except one. One stopped, it must have spotted us. My heart was racing and my forehead was beaded with sweat.

"Guys get out of the car, hurry." Louis whispered, "Then run up hill."

We all got out of the car and began to sprint. Everything after that happened so quickly, we were halfway up the hill, until I felt the worst pain on my lower right back.

I fell down and I heard echoes of voices. Cops yelling, Liam shooting, Lyn screaming my name. And Louis yelling something to me, but I was getting dizzy and tired.

That's when I realized, I was shot.
