CLAIRE'S POV

The next morning was a blur, but all I can really remember was sleeping in until one in the afternoon. No one decided to wake me up since I haven't slept in over three days. Now I was waiting for Liam to finish cooking the deer I had killed last night.

I noticed Lyn just sitting alone by the shore. She was picking up random rocks and throwing them into the water, whenever she did random things like this that meant something was wrong.

I walked over to her and sat down. There was a silence that was hanging around for a good three minutes until she sighed, "I'm scared."

"About?"

"I don't know if I should say, it might ruin a lot of things." I could see real fear in her eyes. It wasn't the 'there's a monster under my bed' look, it was a guilty fear.

I raised an eyebrow, "If you're scared then let me help you."

"There isn't anything you can do, there isn't anything I can do." Her voice cracked telling me that she was on the verge of tears.

I stood up, "Maybe after a nice meal and a little rest you'll feel better. Yeah?"

Lyn hesitated but she nodded and stood up. We both headed over to where Liam and Louis were sitting, feasting on the new cooked meat.

We both sat down, Liam handing is a stick with a nice portion of food. I took a bite, my mouth instantly watering wanting more delicious food. Lyn on the other hand, just stared at the food.

Her eyes were watery, and her face was pale. Her hands were shaking, she threw down her food and ran toward the lake. Louis, Liam and I all shared glances before averting our attention to Lyn.

She was hovered over near a rock holding her stomach while throwing up. My eyes went wide, while Liam and Louis shrugged only thinking it was Lyn not liking the thought of eating deer.

I set down my food and ran over to Lyn, holding back her hair. When she was finally finished, she began to cry and held onto me for dear life. She cried silently though, only letting tears fall.

"Lyn," I started, "How long have you had morning sickness?"

"About three days now." She muttered, "I can't believe this."

"You have to tell him."

"I can't! If I could I would tell him right now, but this ruins everything." She let a few more tears fall before wiping them off with the back of her hand. "And it's not like I can just hide this!"

I pursed my lips before speaking, I honestly didn't know what to say. I can't just tell Liam myself, it's not my place and Lyn would never forgive me. She can't abort it, because both of us are against that and going to a medicial facility is too risky.

"You tell him when you're ready, but before you know it, you'll start to show." I glanced at her flat stomach that would soon become more and more bloated every week.

Lyn nodded, "Are you going to tell him?"

"No, I'm going to let you do that. But you will need to eventually. Now, what are you going to tell those two boys when you walk back up there?"

"I can't go back up there," She made a disgusted face, "If I smell that food or even look at it, my stomach will turn inside out."

"Fine, then what do I tell them because I'm starving." I crossed my arms, my stomach was only going to be so patient with me.

Lyn was silent, thinking about an excuse. "Just tell them that I've been feeling queasy lately and the food took me over the edge. It's not a lie."

"Fine, I'll eat and check on you after." I told her.

I walked back up to the fire where Louis and Liam were both still eating. "Is everything okay?" Liam asked.

I nodded, "She's been feeling really sick lately. The food took her over the edge." I tried my best to act like it was nothing, I took a bite of my food and let the silence take over the three of us.

While we were all eating, we had finally broken the silence and thought of a plan. We would camp out here for a few more days, then we would get a new car and drive to a new city and figure it out from there.

It obviously wasn't the best plan, but it was something for us to prepare and look forward to.

I was now collecting firewood since we were too low. The night would get cold soon enough and we needed to keep the fire alive. I liked walking around and now I had an excuse to do it.

"So tell me what's really wrong with Lyn." Louis asked from behind me.

At first I was startled, but I didn't want to turn around and face him. He would know that I was lying, so I continued to pick up dry sticks. "She probably just has the flu or something."

"I know that's bullshit, she wouldn't be crying and hugging you if she had the flu." Goddamit Louis why do you have to pay attention.

I sighed, "It's not my place to say anything, sorry."

"So you're keeping secrets from me now?"

"I didn't know I had to answer to you all the time. My best friend asked me not to say anything so I'm not." I said finally facing him.

He didn't look pleased, at all. "I'm asking you to say something, so tell me what's wrong with Lyn?"

"Since when you do you give a flying fuck about her?" I angrily laughed.

"Because if something that could put us in danger is going on, I need to know."

I rolled my eyes and began to head back to camp, which was sadly on the other side of the lake. "If it was putting us in danger, I would tell you. It's not, so leave it."

"Why are you so stubborn!" He yelled, "I'm not a huge fan of fucking secrets."

"I'm not a huge fan of nosy people." I calmly stated while firmly holding the firewood and walking back to camp.

Louis grabbed my forearm, causing me to drop all the firewood. "Great." I mumbled and kneeled down to pick them up.

Louis grabbed my arm forcefully to pick me back up. "Tell me." His eyes were dark, just like when he first kidnapped me.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't just a little scared. "Let go of me, and just forget about it."

He didn't budge, only clenching his jaw and staring at me more intently. I shut my mouth, pushing Louis away so I could be released. I quickly grabbed the firewood and fast walked back to camp.

I set down the firewood and sat down on the blanket next to it. I sighed, Lyn was pregnant and Louis is determined to find out.

Louis was walking up toward the rock we both sat on last night. He sat down, obviously pissed off but he didn't say or do anything. He just stared straight ahead.

Lyn and Liam were both napping since it was around six and they had the first shift. I just stared at the dancing flames, it seems like now, nothing can go right.

LOUIS' POV

I honestly don't understand why Claire is keeping secrets from me. I thought she trusted me, but I guess I was wrong. I've always hated it when people keep secrets from me, and now that Claire is too, I lost control.

I've been on edge lately, it's stress and every little thing pisses me off. I feel like soon I'll just snap and end up doing something really stupid.

I've been sitting here for about two hours. It's been dark for a little while and Liam's shift is about to begin. I glanced behind me and saw Liam getting up and stretching, I hopped off the rock and gave him a stern nod as he loaded his gun.

Claire hasn't moved, she was still staring at the fire. She knew I was here but didn't acknowledge me, it's not like I blame her. I'm upset that she won't tell me whatever it is, but I probably bruised her arm.

The only thing was, if whatever the secret is isn't a dangerous thing, then why won't she tell me? Is it one of those stupid girl secrets that I probably won't even understand myself?

I shrugged it off for now, knowing that I needed to sleep. I leaned against a nearby tree so I could watch the lake and still see Claire. Even though I didn't want to sleep, I still had to welcome it.

The sound of leaves crunching startled me awake. Lyn was still asleep, Liam was on his rock but Claire was gone. After looking around, I saw her running toward the woods that were directly in front of me.

"Shit." I whispered and got up.

Was she really trying to escape again? Did she really just put up an act so I would trust her. Now I was pissed.

I followed behind her, she hasn't noticed me yet but I didn't want her to. I wanted to see where this would lead to. I knew where the road was, and she was headed towards it.

Of course I wouldn't let her get there, but I wanted to see how far she's actually go. But me being smart, stepped on a fucking branch causing Claire to turn around.

"What the hell are you doing?" She asked, angry.

"Stopping you from running away." I growled.

Her jaw dropped, "I wasn't running away asshole. I was running because the fucking fire was about to die and I needed more wood."

Oh.

She walked past me, bumping my shoulder while doing so. I was close to slapping myself, but I walked back to camp, keeping my distance from Claire.

She sat back down next to the dying fire, she put some more wood in while glaring at me. She finally laid down and shut her eyes, letting herself fall asleep.

I, on the other hand, stayed awake telling myself how much of an idiot I am. First I do a good job with her, then I fuck up. Great job, Tomlinson.
