Bad

Harry's POV:

We arrive at Stefan's practice and he directs me and Liam on where to take Beth. We have been carefully lifting her and carrying her everywhere.

We place her in a room in the back of the office. Around are different types of machines and tools.

"Harry, let them look at your shoulder," Stefan says to me, "I'll take care of her." I nod and leave the room with Liam following me. A few nurses enter the room I had left with papers.

I walk to Addie and ask her if she would go into the room with Beth. She didn't say anything and she quickly walked to Beth.

"Are you Harry?" A short, female, middle-aged doctor asked me.

"Uh, yeah," I said.

"Follow me, I'll get your shoulder fixed up." She smiled at me and instructed me to follow her to a room on the other side of the office. This room was very different from Beth's, it had more surgical instruments and was smaller.

"Please remove your shirt," the doctor told me. I did as I was told. She examined my shouldered for about 15 seconds before saying, "The bullet is still inside, we're going to need to get it out. Luckily, it isn't deep so we can numb your shoulder and not have to put you under." She smiled at me and I nodded.

There was a knock at the door and Niall, Louis and Liam entered. The nurse in the room was about to interject but the short doctor stopped her.

"Surgery?" Louis asked.

I shook my head. "They're going to numb me and just take it out and sew it up,"

"Ashton and Luke called," Liam said, "they went back to Tate and Colton's, making sure nothing odd was going on," I stared at him as the nurse injected my shoulder with the numbing medication.

"They were packing up suitcases. Ashton could see it through the back window. A couple cars in the drive, everything seemed to be clean but they had about four more guys," he explained, "Tate was lying in one of the rooms and Colton was ordering the other guys around, I guess. They're leaving, mate."

"They're leaving, for now, you mean," I said as the doctor began cutting into my shoulder. The boys looked down.

"We're going to have to move your family, Liam," Niall said, "or at least your mum and Tess."

"They're gonna try to do something soon. We have to make sure Tess is safe," I said, "Something like this cannot happen again. We have to send her somewhere with protection."

"You're right, this can't happen again. I'll call and make the arrangements," Liam said and left the room.

"How are you doing, Harry?" Niall asked.

"I promised her I would never let anything happen to her," I say quietly, "I promised her I would kill anyone who ever tried to hurt her."

"Alright Harry, we got the bullet out. Nothing is torn inside so we're gonna sew you up," the doctor said to me and I nodded again. They quickly sewed me up and told me I was good to go. My shoulder had minimal movement but that didn't stop me from rushing to Beth.

"I'm going to check on her," I said to Louis and Niall as I passed Liam in the hallway.

I walk back to her room to see Addie, Stefan and a couple of nurses around her.

"How is she?" I asked in a panic.

"We ran blood tests. She has a high level of morphine in her blood," Stefan says to me, "but there's not enough of it to permanently affect her. She's going to be fine."

I sigh of relief and smile. "When is she going to wake up?" I asked.

"Well, we have her on IVs to wash her out, so within the hour, more than likely." He says and I hug him.

"Thank you, a bunch, mate. You really helped us out, you have no idea." I say and rush over to Beth. I look at Addie and her smile is as big as mine.

"She's gonna be okay," She smiles at me.

"Yeah, she will be," I say back and kiss her hand.
