Coincidental Meeting (A Louis Tomlinson Fanfic)
Chapter 27 - Many Thoughts
I decided I shouldn't ruin Brianna's night but ending it too early. I had no idea where Harry had taken Emily either. Well it wasn't too late. Just a little past nine so I would walk back. If I slipped out casually no one notice and therefore I wouldn't be stopped. Just needed time to think.
Niall was consumed by the food and his friend wasn't really paying attention to anything. Brianna and Liam were talking, seemed deep so I decided now would be the time to leave.
I knew it would take a long time to get home but I didn't care. I just wanted some time to myself. I needed to think about what happened tonight. The amount of jealousy that consumed me when I saw Louis and Eleanor together. I knew I was jealous but I never really knew that I was that jealous. I just continued to walk and I just wanted to listen to music. Music could always calm me down whenever I was mad.
I didn't know what I could do but honestly I didn't know what I wanted to do. The long walk wasn't helping, it had been thirty minutes and I still didn't know what I wanted to do. I was falling for Louis but what if he was still in love with Eleanor? They were together for a long time. I just wanted to hear Louis tell me he had no more feelings for Eleanor.
My phone started buzzing.
Where did you go?
I deleted the message quickly, no use in acting like I actually got it.
Are you walking home? Liam said he can come get you.
I knew that Brianna would keep texting me until I finally texted back.
I'm not walking. I got a ride.
Probably shouldn't have said that but oh well. I was just about to turn my phone off when it started ringing. Brianna was calling me. I answered not thinking it through.
"Maria?"
"Yes Brianna."
"Why did you leave?"
"I needed some time to think."
A car rode by and yelled something out the window that I just wanted to ignore.
"Maria! Really? Why are you walking home?" Then she whispered to Liam acting like I couldn't hear. "She's walking home. We need to go get her."
I heard Liam say, "Where is she is?"
I hung up the phone and turned it off. I just needed sometime to myself.
Probably had another half hour to forty-five minutes to walk but I wanted to avoid the chance of running into Brianna and Liam coming to look for me. So I knew I had to take a longer way home. Possibly a hour and a half or more. More time to think.
