Chapter 5


It didn't take long for Louis to get in his car and be heading for Liams but when he was about a block away Liam called Louis tell him Diana was in the hospital and had been in an accident and that they were already on the way to the hospital, Louis after talking to Liam headed straight for the hospital. Once he got there he was quick to find out where Diana was and when he reached the waiting room he saw Liams family, the guys, Liam and Sophia sitting down while scanning the waiting area Louis's eyes fell on the person who sat beside Sophia briefly Josh Diana's ex boyfriend sat there not noticing or returning Louis's stare, Josh had always been jealous of Diana's friendship with Louis but right now Louis knew better than to cause a scene.

"How is she?"Louis asked finally speaking as he sat beside Liam.

"She's okay, They are running some tests"Liam explained softly.

"And the baby?"Louis questioned and now Josh shot him an annoyed glare which Louis ignored.

"The baby is alive but they are running tests on Diana to make sure their was no damage to the baby"Liam said softly, A few minutes later a doctor approached them.

"Ms Paynes family?"The doctor questioned and everyone nodded.

"Okay, We ran test and remarkably the baby is fine, Diana should recover fine but she must be watched as the slightest injury or too much stress could kill the baby..Diana has some minor injuries and should make a 100 percent recovery but for now we want to keep her atleast for the night to make sure she's okay but you may all go and see her now"The doctor said and Karen & Geoff were quick to thank him before being the first to go into Diana's room, Seeing as only two people could go in at a time because the doctors didnt want Diana stressed or overwhelmed by so much company Louis waited and was the last to go in and see her, Diana was actually thinking he didn't care enough to come as no one mentioned him and Diana feared mentioning him because she didnt want to make it look obvious.

"You have one more visitor" A nurse said peeking her head in the room, Diana nodded letting the nurse know to send in the visitor, When Louis walked in Diana was deep in thought.

"Hey.."Louis said softly, Diana snapped from her thoughts quickly.

"Hey..you actually came?"Diana asked surprised.

"Diana.."Louis said softly and Diana slowly lifted her hand up signaling him to stop.

"I get it"Diana said nodding.

"Diana..I'm really sorry..I tried to come after you"Louis said sitting beside the bed, Diana rolled her eyes not believing him.

"I never meant for this to happen"Louis said softly and Diana turned away from him.

"Diana, Please talk to me..I mean it! Your than my best friend..I'm in love with you not Eleanor..just you"Louis said looking down as he played with his hands, Diana quickly turned and looked at him.

"Wh-what did you just say?"Diana asked and Louis looked at her his blue eyes meeting her dark one's.

"I--I love you"Louis repeated smiling satisfied with himself for the confession.

"I love you too Louis"Diana said with a smile and Louis leaned down and gave her a quick kiss.

"So why is Josh here?"Louis asked finally letting the little green envy in him show.

"My um..My parents called him asking if he knew where I was before they found out I was in the accident"Diana explained and Louis nodded and could tell Diana was witholding something.

"And..?"Louis said and Diana looked up at him.

"And..thanks to my parents and our little secret Josh believes he is the father"Diana said and Louis chuckled until he realized Diana wasn't laughing.

"No..No way! No way will my baby call that douche his father!"Louis said his voice raising and Diana looked down.

"I thought you said that was not a possibility!?"Louis questioned and Diana took a deep breath
"I forgot about the one time it was about a week or so before we slept together when Josh tried to get me back"Diana said letting tears run down her cheeks Louis's face went red with anger.

"Louis, Your being a hypocrite! You say you love me but wont even leave Eleanor!"Diana said in disbelief of Louis's behavior.

"Do not turn this around on me Diana! You lied to me! We had a promise we'd never keep secrets!"Louis reminded her.

"Louis! Wake the hell up! We are having a baby and keeping it to ourselves!"Diana said slightly raising her voice.

"Oh, Now it's my baby again!?"Louis asked and Diana rolled her eyes.

"Real mature Louis, Incase you forgot we are here right now in the hospital because of that girlfriend of yours!"Diana spat back and Louis shook his head.

"Yea well..Maybe Eleanor was right about you"Louis said without thinking and Diana looked at him in disbelief.

"Leave.."Diana said pointing to the door.

"I am so sorry I just--"Louis started and Diana cut him off.

"GET THE HELL OUT!"Diana shouted in tears and Louis realized it was no use trying to talk to her right now and left the room, Diana eventually ended up crying herself to sleep and the next day came, Neither Louis or Diana got much sleep the night before.

"Hey Mom? Can we talk?"Louis called out unsure of where in the house Jay was.

"Yes hun, I'm in the guest room!"Jay called to him, Louis found this strange because the only time Jay was in the guest room was if she was fixing it up for company, Louis entered the guest room and found Jay making the guest bed.

"Mom.."Louis said and Jay turned around.

"Hey sweetie, Whats going on?"Jay asked and Louis stuffed his hands in his pockets.

"I think I've screwed up big time.."Louis said sitting down on the bed Jay gave him a puzzled look.

"Whats going on? I thought you and Eleanor were great?" Jay asked confused and Louis nodded.

"Yea..Yea I guess we are.."Louis said softly he was unsure of how to tell his mom the truth knowing she'd be disappointed.

"Sweetie, Why don't you tell me about it while you help me get the guest room in order?"Jay suggested and Louis nodded.

"But why? I didn't know anyone was coming"Louis said confused and Jay nodded.

"Well, Karen and Geoff Payne called me yesterday and were asking my advice about what to do with Diana since I am a nurse and Diana is very good with the kids so I suggested they let Diana stay here until she has the baby so I could keep an eye on her and that way you two can bond too I know how close you two are"Jay said with a smile and Louis's face went pale.
