Change Your Mind ~ L.P.
Chapter 1
I’m Grace Friedberg, and I have a boyfriend named Garrett Meyers and three daughters—Lily, Brandy, and Deirdre. The first two are twins from my previous relationship with Liam from One Direction, and the third is Garrett’s.
I first met Liam when he moved to Minot, North Dakota, as an exchange student from England. We quickly became an item and had sex, but we broke up when he moved back to his hometown of Wolverhampton. We’re still friends, though.
Garrett is the kind of guy who disappoints you constantly, but you can’t help but love. He’s always out partying and is never there to tuck the girls in at night, but he’s too cute to let go.
One night, I got a call from my friend Anna. When I answered my phone, it sounded like she was at a nightclub.
Anna and I had met when she moved in from Rock River, Wyoming (a little town outside of Laramie), in seventh grade. She was shy at first, but once I got to know her, she turned into a bubbly and outgoing girl. She’s the polar opposite of me when it comes to looks. She’s blonde and I’m brunette, and she has a plump build to complement my thin frame.
“Grace, Garrett is cheating on you!” she shouted over the sounds of loud music and drunken laughter.
“Eh, he’s just gonna apologize later. It’s all good,” I said.
“Why must you put up with his behavior?! He’s a fucking sleaze ball!”
“You’re just jealous because you’re single!”
“Listen to me! Your…boyfriend…is…cheating! In fact, I’ll prove it to you. I’m gonna text you a picture of it!”
Anna hung up, and a minute later, I got a text from her. It contained a picture of Garrett making out with a busty blonde.
I texted her back, and we had the following conversation:
G: I’ll sleep on it.
A: No, you need to leave him right away! I can’t have my best friend living with a cheater! In fact, I’m gonna call Liam when I get home. He’ll set you straight!
G: *sigh* Whatever.
I closed the message and went to bed.

Anna’s POV
At 1 am, I got home from another unsuccessful night of scoping out guys at the club. I was about ready to give up. Maybe I’m destined to be forever single.
Anyways, once I was settled on the living room couch, I called Liam on my cell phone to tell him about Grace’s cheating boyfriend and her refusal to dump him. He answered groggily with, “Do you know what time it is here? I’m trying to sleep!”
I ignored his complaint and said, “Liam, this is Anna Lawson. You remember me from high school, right?”
“Oh, yeah! What’s up, love?”
“Grace is still with her deadbeat boyfriend. He keeps cheating on her, but she refuses to dump him. I need you to convince her, because I think she needs to hear it from another guy.”

Liam’s POV
I had to admit, I hated to see my beloved ex-girlfriend being betrayed so constantly. I told Anna I’d call Grace in the morning and hung up.
When I felt like I got enough sleep, I did what I said I’d do. I called Grace on her cell phone to talk her into dumping her boyfriend. She answered with, “Hey, Liam!”
“Hello, Grace,” I said. “Your mate tells me your boyfriend is cheating on you. I think you should leave him, because I’d treat you much better.”
“Liam, you’re just trying to get in my pants!” Grace said, laughing.
“No, I’m telling you the truth. I still love you, Grace, and I don’t like seeing the people I love get hurt. If you refuse one more time, I’ll come over and make you come back to me.”
“Fine, do it! I’m not changing my mind!”
“Then it’s settled. Expect a visit from me within the next two days.”
