Summer Love ~ L.P.
Chapter 14
TWO MONTHS LATER
Andy and Niall have been dating for two months now. Niall just asked her to be his girlfriend, and she said yes.
Louis and Caitlyn are still friends, and she’s slowly getting used to the fact that he has a girlfriend.
I was on my way home from my last school day before the holidays when my phone rang. It was Liam. My heart skipped a beat as I picked up. “Hello?”
“Hey, Jess. It’s Liam,” he said. “I just wanted to say that I’m coming over for Christmas!”
“Um…I don’t think you should,” I said. “Normally, I’d be happy for you to come over, but my daddy doesn’t like you.”
“That’s rubbish! He hasn’t even met me yet! Besides, I think it’s time you introduced me to your parents.”
“That’s true. Okay, you can come.”
“Brilliant! I’ll be round on the 23rd.”
“Okay!”
~~~~~
Daddy spat out his water when I told him and Mom the news at dinner.
“We’ve already got Grandma coming! Can we really handle another guest?” he asked.
“Daddy, it’s only one more person,” I pointed out. “Besides, he can sleep in my room!”
“I think it’s wonderful that Liam’s coming over!” Mom said. “I can’t wait to meet him!”
“If he proposes, he’s dead.”
“Daddy!” I scolded.
~~~~~
On the 23rd, Liam called me at 10 am to tell me his flight was about ready to board. I told him I’d meet him at the airport at five to pick him up.
At three, the doorbell rang. I answered the door to reveal Grandma.
“Jessalyn! How are you, my dear?” Grandma said, hugging me. “Your belly looks awfully big for six months.”
“Oh, they didn’t tell you? I’m having triplets,” I said.
“Oh, that’s right! Three little ones. That makes sense. Are they your boyfriend’s?”
“Grandma, I was raped.”
“Oh, yeah, I forgot. I’m old, you know. Oh, hello, Georgia!” Mom had just come up from the basement.
“How was your trip, Mom?” Mom asked, hugging Grandma.
“It was long. It’s a long way from Texas, you know. When’s the boyfriend coming? What’s his name again? Uh…Lester!”
“It’s Liam,” I corrected.
“Yeah! I knew it started with an L! So, when’s he coming?”
“In a couple hours.”
“I’ll bet he’s a real looker!”
“Oh, he is!”
