Late Night
1. Late Night Chit Chat
Personality can open many doors, but character keeps them open.
"Long day, huh"?
" Tell me about ", letting a deep sigh emit from my mouth as I looked up at the stranger who spoke with the lovely, thick accent.
Studying his features - he had small pink lips that framed his face, a little stubble that you could point out if you looked hard enough, and a perfectly chiseled bone structure; but as I learned the hard way, looks can be deceiving.
" Oh, sorry, may I help you? You know, it's pretty late", snapping my gaze from his imperfect flaws I caught a glimpse of the change of night in the sky.
Dark blue sheets covered the sky as I felt the presence of the man step a slight step closer to me, invading all possible personal space.
"Were just about closing, do you need anything"?
"Your name would be lovely, miss ", a sly smile etched across his face.
Carrying out a low chuckle, I roughly grabbed the water bucket that was sitting carelessly on the brown wooden table next to me. Walking up to my place at the counter, I heard hard footsteps coming faster than the wind behind me.
"I don't think you deserve to know my name, since after all, you are a stranger ", taking the damp rag from the baby blue bucket, I started wiping down the counter that was filled with the morning shifts.
" Well, miss, I think as a stranger I should maybe get to know you better ".
Scoffing, I threw the rag down on the counter, emitting drops of water to fall.
"Ansley ", I muttered.
"Excuse me, but I don't think I caught that", an evident smirk playing.
"My name is Ansley. Now can you please leave so I can lock up "?
" It was nice chatting with you, Ansley, how to see you around soon ", completely avoiding the question.
" Can't say the same for you ", mumbling under my breath, hoping for my ears only to hear.

Notes
The first chapter!
I know it's short but bear with me; first time writing.
Constructive criticism would be nice!
I agree with the other comments you've got below! This is a really nice set up for a story and I really, really wanna know more about Ansley because I feel like what you've left me with just isn't enough and I'm scraping at walls to figure it out.
