It Started While Visting London

Chapter 4

10 minutes into walking and I was already lost. My gaze darted around the dark buildings golden in the streetlights. The fog was coming in from the river making reading the street signs and landmarks harder. I tried to remember where I went maternity shopping with the only family member I actually liked, my sister Noelle.

Of course, when we had went it was day and Noelle knew where she was going. I kept sending my gaze to the sky to try and make sure the typical London storms weren't going to open on us but it didn't look good. I swore under my breath as the street ended into yet another fence. A cross street stretched to either side offering options as I stood on the corner.

"Is everything okay?" Kiera's soft voice came from my right.

Turning I gave her a tight smile. "Just peachy."

As I debated our options the raindrops started falling onto my head rushing me. On impulse I turned to the right and put my head down. The next corner a smile tugged at the side of my mouth as I recognized the little bakery. My good luck didn't hold up for long as the skies opened above us. Crossing the street I heard a squeak and turned just as Kiera stumbled into me. I held my hand to keep her from falling face first into the puddle.

"Are you okay?"

Kiera's face was neutral for a second before a grin split her face and she dissolved into a puddle of giggles. Her laugh was infections and soon had giggles coming out of me too. Rolling my eyes I put my arm around her holding my coat over both of our head to try and lessen the rain damage.

It doesn't work because a couple blocks later when we reached the shop decorated by teddy bears and rattles we were soaked through. I tried to pull the thin fabric of my dress off of my body but the clingy and slightly transparent fabric left nothing of my lacy bra to the imagination. Laughing at our reflections in the glass we entered the warmth of the shop.

Rows and rows of clothes stretched out in front of us as well as decorating the walls. I stood by the door as Kiera ran her fingers along the hangers. A peaceful look had finally settled on her face as she kept one hand on her baby bump. Deciding help I headed to a rack of what looked like t-shirts.

"What do you think?" I asked holding up a shirt with the loading circle on it.

A scoff was all I got in return. Hearing my name a second later I looked up again to see Kiera holding an olive green sweater that matched her skin tone and her eyes perfectly. I gave her a big smile.

"Yes get that one."

In return I held up a shirt against my chest. Since I was lacking a pregnant stomach it was rather long. Kiera laughed at the word on it: I'm a Virgin (this shirt is old).

"You have to get it." She exclaimed with giggles and a waggling of her eyebrows. Blushing a deep shade of pink I turned, bumping right into another person.

"Sorry." I said quietly before looking up into the face of the guy I'd met earlier turning my cheeks an even deeper shade of pink.

His eyebrows raised slightly as his eyes went from me to the shirt I was now trying to hide behind my back. A pink bag hung in his hand probably one of the various baby gifts from the front. I hadn't taken him for the father type but I've been known to be a bad judge of character (except when it comes to Louis).

"I suppose congratulations are in order. When's the baby due?" He asked looking at the shirt.

As I shook my head adamantly no Kiera piped up behind her.

"I think if Harry got her pregnant the whole world would know by now."

"Harry?" The word seemed to slip out of his lips before he could contain it.

"Her boyfriend."

His eyebrows raised slightly as he shifted uncomfortably. Eyes darted towards the door. Reading his body language I stepped aside.

"It was good to see you again....." I trailed the sentence realizing I didn't know his name.

"James," He offered, "good to see you too."

As he walked out the door I could feel Kiera's eyes on me. I tried to avoid her gaze as much as possible. So that's what Harry told them. Shaking my head I turned to face her.

"Who was that?"

"Just a regular at the bar.":

~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~

We entered the apartment in a jocular mood. The rain had thankfully abated for our walk back and we definitely had too many bags from our excursion. It was nice to get to know the less shy side of Kiera knowing that as soon as we were around Louis she was going to clam up.

Harry was the only one in sight as we entered the flat and once his gaze fell on my he nearly spit out his tea.

"What?" I asked playing dumb with a slight smile.

"Your shirt." He stated turning a shade of red.

Kiera had convinced me to get the shirt I showed her earlier although it looked like a burlap sack on me. I had only agreed telling her that after the shock value it was hers.

"It's Kiera's my dress got wet."

Harry raised his eyebrows at the statement as if not believing me. I didn't know why until I saw Kiera shaking her head no in my peripheral vision. Seeing me giving her a slightly annoyed glance a small smile started and spread until light giggles proceeded from her lips.

"I don't like it." Harry stated bluntly.

Annoyed I pulled it over my head and threw it at him leaving me in my bra as I plopped onto the couch. When Harry pulled the shirt off his face I heard a sharp intake of breath before he threw the shirt back at me and gesturing for me to put it back on.

"What? Not enjoying the view?" I stated cockily.

"I think he's enjoying the view a little too much." I heard stated. "When did we start playing strip tease."

"Fuck you Louis." I called over the back of the couch.

"I'd rather fuck you." Came the reply that almost sent me over the couch at his face.

I saw Kiera's face register shock and then hurt and knew more than saw Harry stand up beside me putting an arm on my shoulder. His face showed nothing but fury.

"That is enough Louis." His voice was angry and stern.

Louis just raised his hands.

"Just a joke dude."

Shaking my head I stood up not bothering with the shirt. Going up to Kiera I gave her a hug.

"See you in the morning."

I went to go down the hall when I felt an arm on me.

"You forgot a goodnight kiss." Harry stated before pulling me into him.

Instead of the lustful kisses I usually got it was almost hesitantly Harry's lips brushed mine. But it was with a possessiveness he continued. Of course, the moment could never go perfectly because of the next words out of Louis' mouth.

"Oy! Get a room!"
